My siblings and I used to go to Travel Town when we were kids and we loved it. Thank you to my Parents for helping create those precious memories for us and, Thank you so much Jordan for reminding me of those special memories.
Awesome, I love trains. I was looking forward to this when you said you were going there. They also filmed an episode of Columbo there. Columbo "Identity Crisis" (1975). For my birthday last year, my wife took me on the "behind the steam tour" (a back stage experience with all the trains) at Walt Disney World. Great to experience how we used to travel. I really enjoyed this Jordan, Thank you! You continue to do an awesome job!
Hi! Jordan, what a great vlog. So nice to see an important part of America history being looked after and maintained for future generations. Thank you so much for sharing.
I'm always fascinated by the past and seeing those trains and cars certainly made me think about how far we've come since then. In a suburb of Atlanta, they have the Civil War and Locomotive Museum which has The General made famous from the Great Locomotive Chase of 1862 and that was really neat to see. Thank you for posting this. I truly enjoyed watching.
Thank you for doing this. I used to take my son when he was little all the time. He’s loved trains since he was 1 1/2 and still love them to this day, he had Brio, an old Lionel, different gauges from small to large. If you ever take a trip to Sacramento there’s a great train museum there as well as other interesting historical things. I enjoyed this a lot as I haven’t been there in quite awhile. Thanks again.
Amazing vintage trains! All the modes of transportation are interestingly. I had a great uncle who served in the Civilian Conservation Corps during the 1930s. 🦁💥🦁
Very interesting vlog! I love seeing old trains and all of those other old travel modes of transportation. My cousin worked at night at the railroad station I believe in Bradford and always had funny stories to tell! He even brought to his home an old large wooden clock that was used there until they tore the station down. Being a old railroad stop, I am not sure if Bradford still has railroad tracks or not. Travel town is a really cool place!
Along with my mom and sister we use to take the train from Portland Oregon to Arlington Oregon along the Columbia River in the 50s. I remember very fondly the dining car and the wonderful African American porters. They made us feel special and were always so gracious. Taught me at a young age that the color of one’s skin was nothing to fear.
Hi jordan I just discovered your channel about 2 months ago. Ever since then I havent missed a video. Plus we're both ohioans..your such a great person.
Jordan is a kind and intelligent guy. You are absolutely right. He's nice enough to provide us with history you wouldn't hear nor see on a daily basis. I love all kinds of historical information world wide. Unfortunately, too many people are deprived of diverse knowledge from many places.
Awesome train cabooses! 😊 I'm visualizing hobos train hopping during the great depression, rumbling of box cars as they try n get some shut eye. What a history the railroad played in the expansion west. All the blood, sweat n tears that were shed in the process! Jordan, this vlog really gets the imagination flowing!! 😳
Great vlog Jordan, love museums like this, speaking of trains, We have the largest classification railroad yard here in Nebraska(North Platte) called Bailey Yard(Golden Spike Tower)it's about 4 or 5 stories maybe more...really cool to see all the train cars get sorted out, either going east or going west
All aboard, never been on a train in years! when i was a kid i loved them, they weren't steam engines! I'm not that old 😀, can't imagine being out in all weathers is doing the old wooden ones any good, you deffinatly should do a train journey, I've looked into them, think it would a fantastic experience Thankyou Jordan x
What an odd and interesting place. So wonderful that hey saved all of this and made a museum to preserve history. Really good vlog, Jordan. Fun to see.
Hi Jordan, I agree with you, that San Francisco cable car should be preserved inside considering how old it is! I loved the little Carnation Milk wagon. I just wish more of those trains and things could be inside! Great vlog Jordan.
Thank you I got my skull cap while I was in the hospital that I ordered from you. Got home Sunday and got to open it. Me likey. I'll be sporting it in Cleveland Ohio
I have an affinity for trains! The 1873 wooden cable car is beautiful. I hope they will bring it inside. It is too lovely to rot away. I always wanted to go traveling on a train with no destination in particular...just traveling. I even love the sound the wheels make on the track. During the summer I can hear the train’s lonely whistle and see it skirt the town boundary from my deck. This is such an interesting vlog today! I really enjoyed it. :)
I Love trains! what a cool museum! I love anything to do with public transportation, trains, busses, trollies! In particular I love those old Trains with the massive black grill in the front which is quite impressive! Thanks for the extremely cool vlog! it would be great to see you do a train vlog where you are taking a train!
Would be great if they would do more restoration and protection to the cable car and some of the other cars. They have such a nice collection of cars and engines. We have a train museum in Noblesville Indiana. They used to run a train to the state fair every year, but recently stopped, they lost there rights to the railroad - so sad. Thanks for sharing!
That was cool. History before plastic. Bummer couldn’t go inside more train cars, but understandable why. I’d like to mention you do a very good job filming. I’ve watch so many of your vlogs. You don’t pan too fast, so many people do. Thanks for sharing your day!
As a child, I can remember walking between the jostling cars as the train was moving. It was scary! My grandfather shoveled coal into the NP train engine furnaces many years ago.
Very cool museum. Can you imagine being an engineer and having to turn all those knobs and push and pull all those levers to make the train go… Or STOP! Thank you Jordan!
Very interesting vlog. We have the California State Railroad Museum here in Sacramento. There's lots to see here at Travel town. I love places like this that give us a look into the past and how things were then. What happened to the CHiP's stuff? Thanks for bringing us along today. Take care.
Well that was quite interesting. I was on a binge watching Jordans vlogs since 12:30 am. The vlogs are soooo good and if you didn't see the ones from Italy I highly recommend it. Jordan you are without a doubt the best vlogger. Thank you for all these amazing trips. Much love to you and Jah...
I’ll tell you a childhood story about these 2 teenage boys who were brothers and bullied by a jerk who lived next door to me, a real mean boy, so the brothers would jump the trains thinking it was fun or cool, until one day the one brother fell and had his arm and leg amputated, well of course everyone felt sorry for him and his family so we all helped as much as we could to bring up his spirits, whelp next thing you know the bully befriended him and he became a bully! I just couldn’t believe after knowing how it felt to be treated so harshly, he would choose to be friends with the bully who never liked him until his accident! I never understood that! Side note: Thank you so much for the James Dean post card I Love it, the stamp is really cool! You’re the best Jordan ❤️
Hi Jordan. You are so right about the cable car out in the elements, such a shame to let it the elements destroy it. Maybe some day soon someone will bring it "inside" and restore it. My dad was a cable car driver in N.Y. city many years ago. Thanks for the great video.
I had bought three photos of a very bad old train wreck in a desert setting. I never knew where they were from...but I just found out watching this video. I looked up the 1939 Nevada wreck, and sure enough, that is the wreck from the photos I had bought several years ago. You never know how things are going to connect.
When parents took me and my family here in the early 60's you could get on everything that was open. The planes were open too and you could climb all over the inside of them. Last time I was inside there was the early middle 80's. I found out many of the bells on the trains were stolen off the trains to sell to collectors. Pretty sad because many of the bells you could play with them. Also, there was a bad wind storm in the '70s where many of the cars were destroyed due to falling trees and limbs. Sad day in the park. One reason this pavilion was built. Railway Express Agency AKA...REA Express was a very big delivery company back in the day until they went bankrupt in 1975. They were bigger than UPS. I remember these and UPS package cars around my neighborhood for many years. Then they were getting less and less over the years and saw more UPS instead. When I lived in Glendale we would take side streets to Arcadia to visit my mom's twin there and in a fenced-in lot, where the freeway is today, were a vast number of REA package cars. I am sure they were sold off for parts and other uses for them after the BK courts took care of that. Maybe do a vlog on them someday. The aircraft that were missing was a Navy Vought F-7U, A German WWII V1 rocket, and a Douglass B-23. I hope they bring them back. Great childhood memories there. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Jordan for taking us to Travel Town! It's really sad to see so many trains sitting out to rot!! guess they need lots of donations to help restore!! Sacramento has a Better Museum of trains!
💋Jordan and Jah, Thanks for Travel Town. So many cool things. I love the romanticized thought of riding on stream trains at the turn of the century. Gloria Swanson talks about riding one in her book and doing the grand promo stops after she returned back to the U.S. in her book. Have a great day Lion💛’s. Love and Light 💖Carli
I think that Jordan has already addressed that suggestion numerous times. Basically, Graceland prohibits photos and video filming in the interiors. So there's no point in going there just for a few outdoor shots.
My siblings and I used to go to Travel Town when we were kids and we loved it. Thank you to my Parents for helping create those precious memories for us and, Thank you so much Jordan for reminding me of those special memories.
I love trains and the older the better! This was such a fun vlog for me. Thank goodness there are places that preserve these pieces of history.
Tanya Sumner I agree!

I just love anything historical. Ty for sharing this with us.

Great vlog today. You get the feeling of being in a train yard. But it is sad to see the weather taking a toll on the different trains. Take care.
Loved your video. My Dad was a railroad man and I've been around trains all my life. And my Dad was in the CCC - 1934-1937.
Yay got to Travel Town Museum. History you can explore that's great.

Great volg love ja to he cool dog love all the ones I've seen so far
So love this video love trans my brother had a Lionel's transept as a kid I don't know if he still has it or not thanks
I think the gatlin Brothers filmed a video there for their song all the gold in California
It looks like they need to start taking care of those trains before they have nothing to show.
I agree

All these should be under cover as over time the elements will deteriorate them.

Enjoyed this. I have always loved trains. Belinda
It looks to me that the Travel Town Museum doesn't know how to preserve anything properly.
Cool vlog!
