I would still like to see Captain Worf as well. Worf was pretty involved in plenty of action in the past. His character can't avoid a confrentation for some reason.

Never gonna happen - Mulgrew was so openly toxic to Ryan throughout her entire appearance on Voyager that I guarantee shes persona non grata. Even the cast she didn't target that just witnessed it have come out confirming what a vile B she was to work with for her victims)s_ ... of which Ryan was the main target.
Janeway was an incompetent, strutting, martinet who wouldn't know what made a good captain if she had just read the book. She constantly placed her personal interests over the well being of her ship and crew. In the real world she'd have been relieved of her command halfway through season 1. That's not a commentary on the actress, but rather the role.

The last few episodes of Picard Season 3 made you want to follow this new crew on the Enterprise-G. Yes, please. Bring back Mr. Matalas, please, as showrunner.
If I'm not mistaken, Picard S3 has left the other current ST shows far behind. So if those ratings are so important, it's not just a ST show, Legacy must be properly well written, and respectful ST show. Terry and crew have to be involved.
Indeed. The producers need to take a fucking breath and stop going with a brute force trial and error approach to writing. Theyve thrown so much shit at the wall over the past few years of which very little has actually been well received. Sure, that approach leads to some improvement eventually, too, but what they REALLY need to do is sit the F down and think their plot through properly, think about their characters and spend the time to make it good before they make it flashy. Not hack something together on the fly that floats on invoking the Borg (again), diversity points and nostalgia.
And maybe buy a large pack of lightbulbs for the set designers.
Yup, as it should have been since 2017. Cancel all the current live action shows and green light Legacy with Matalas et al. Concentrate the franchise on the 25th century. No more prequels (sorry SNW) and Discoverse.
All but SNW behind, yes. I think we now have our 23rd and 25th century shows on lock.

Terry Trek didn't use anything from the Discoverse in PIC S3. Would love to see that continue.

I'm a long time star trek fan, but much of what we've been given these past few years, like the JJ Abrams movies and Discovery hasn't really felt like star trek in my opinion. I wasn't really all that exited about Picard season 1 and 2 either to be honest. But talk about night and day with season 3.... Just.. WOW! It's incredible how much of an impact a different producer can have on a show.
There's no doubt in my mind that this man, Terry Matalas needs to be put in charge of all things star trek from now on!
He clearly knows what star trek is and should be, and how to do things right. I loved every minute of Picard season 3. It finally felt like star trek again, and not just because of the characters.
I've had a somewhat bleak look on star trek moving forward, based on some of the brain dead stuff we've been served over the past few years, but now I'm finally exited and hopeful for the future! Make star trek great again! :D
Still I personally consider Picard a writeoff because of the first 2 seasons and also any show that tries to reference that show like Legacy (it seems this show will be using charecters introduced in Picard).
@thomasjensen1590 yeah, I didn't finish Picard Season 2, and am a long time Trek fan (still maintain Kirk was better than Picard).
I am not really worried about alternate timelines being different, but the CBS shows, especially Star Trek: Discovery, have caused compatibility concerns. For instance, you need to balance how technology is developed at different stages in time.

The editors CHOSE to put that after-credits scene with Q at the end of E10. They did it for a reason.
Patrick Stewart was disappointed that his choice of the alternate final scene wasn't selected. He has not revealed what it was.

Opinions vary.
I think this is a good take. The fact that Paramount is looking for Star Trek material to make movies and miniseries out of basically means Legacy is at the front of the line, if only because they already have the sets and uniforms for the ship we now know is the Enterprise G. It makes the most sense that they'd give Matalas a chance to throw together a 2-3 hour movie or 4-5 hour miniseries and see if the fans go as crazy for that as they did for Picard S3.
Obviously budget is everything right now, and Matalas has shown he can deliver epic on a budget, and established a set of actors who wouldn't break the bank. Jeri Ryan is obviously the star, but she wouldn't be getting Patrick Stewart money, and Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut is not going to be as expensive as Brent Spiner. Even if fans weren't salivating for this (which I certainly am) it would make sense to at least give it a shot as a movie, just because so much of the groundwork of casting, costuming, set construction, and concept development have already been done.
Jeri Ryan deserves her own series as captain of the enterprise ❤

Star Trek has lost its way in recent times with Discovery and New Worlds. Picard Season 3 was more of a nostalgic reunion and farewell to the old Next Gen crew which was why the viewing figures improved, but when you see beyond that, the storyline was poor, substandard supporting actors/actresses and relying far too much on CGI/special effects. Then there's the political "wokeness" that must be present. I think it's about time the franchise came to an end. I suspect Legacy will be another badly written and poorly directed show, with actors/actresses that don't fit the roles.

@@VolkXue no we cheered because it has the soul of Trek. It's not what happened in the other shows fans were made about. It was the fact the devoid of any soul or feeling that felt like Trek. They were all good SyFy. Fans called for Pike because he entered Season 2 of Discovery and him and Spock, but mostly him felt like a Breath of Fresh Trek. Mount came in with the Soul of Trek. - Doc

Just finished Picard season 3 and it was perfect.
I also love Sevens character development and the idea of her being Captain. Jack, Sidney and Raffi were so well developed during picard that i genuinely want to see more of them.

Jeri Ryans return as Seven of Nine was one of the best things that happened in Picard until season three. She is an amazing actress and Seven is an amazing character. I really hop she gets to sit in the captains chair for her own show. Also I hope we can get some more cameos from VOY and DS9 in a show like that. Maybe a recurring guest appearance from Kate Mulgrew?

Yes and the relationship between Crusher and the Q Continium will likely be different to that of Picard. A small possibility, the show may develop the personality of Jack to be a combination of Picard and Kirk tempered by Beverly's past parenting, as well as, Jack's own traits. Could be amusing.
How about we keep season storylines more in the background and focus more on the exploration style again with the moral dilemmas and character developments.
Given the age of De Lancie the new Q I think could take the form of Cpt Shaw. Bring on #startreklegacy

Please keep Star Trek Strange New Worlds going I dig it at least five seasons, Pike is an amazing character who deserves to have his story told well. Star Trek Legacy is also on my wishlist I would love to see all the new characters along with the old familiar ones.

I really love the idea of Seven as a captain in her own show.
Legacy needs to be fast tracked even if it means scrapping one of the other projects. For me it's the only Trek I'm actually hyped about. I like Lower Decks and Prodigy but Picard season 3 and hopefully a Matalas run Legacy has been the Star Trek I've been waiting decades for.
To have something "this" good, it will take a year or more to write it, another year to film it, and another year before they release it. Sit tight and enjoy the shows! Don't cancel anything!
@@ToddDesiato I guarantee a guy like Matalas has already written at least a treatment if not a rough full script for Legacy. The cast seems ready to go. And unless they've already demolished them some of the stages are already built. I say scrap Academy and green-light Legacy ASAP.
I think there were 2 big clues at the end ,they cut just as 7 was about to say her word to go to warp,that is a anticipation moment,they know the fans will be on chat rooms trying to figure it out,the second was q showing up and telling jack he has a story,they are teasers. That a future for the show right there.

Yeah, everyone remembers when Kirk used to end the episoide by spinning in his chair, slipping his shades on, clicking and pointing his fingers and yelling "it's warpin' time!" 🙄They tried to set this up in 'SNW' as well. No Captain had a 'line' before 'Star Trek '09' and Walmart Pike ripped off Han Solo (a pattern the TV shows would later repeat by introducing an entire fleet of knock-off Han Solos). It's not a thing, it never was a thing and trying to force it to be a thing is just fucking lame.

Couldn't agree more about 7, but I think you'll have to improve on the cast that it looks like they're giving us, especially Raffi.
Legacy would work with Stashwick and Ryan leading the helm. After looking at the 29% Rotten Tomatoes score for season 2 and then the 98% score for season 3, it’s evident that a 60%(ish) amount of fans will be left in the dust for these upcoming shows. If Kurtzman were smart he would give Matalas the reigns and thus, that 60% of fans would stay.

@@timelesscoaching I am one of the people who don't think that Shaw should have died. I love the sarcasm and conflict that he brought l. I would have liked a Shaw/ Seven as #1 show with Crusher and girl Laforge as side characters...I don't care for Raffi and I'm not sure if seven is qualified right now to even be a captain.
Shaw as an ongoing holodeck character might be interesting, or a bridge crew alien who is not Shaw at all but uses Stashwick as an actor....that would be ok. We will see what happens.

Excellent video guys. Terry gave us something I never thought I'd see in my lifetime again - intelligent Trek. If he's allowed to create a show / movies without interference from Kurtzman and the studio I'm onboard. Trek has been only been on the air for 54 years, which is nothing in the history of story telling. My gut tells me there's plenty of interesting stories to tell in the 25th Century with Capt. Seven and her crew.

57 years actually, 2026 will be the 60th anniversary.
I think, when all is said and done, the idea of Jeri Ryan as Seven taking over command and carrying the Enterprise name forward onscreen is not only reasonable, but worthy of the "legacy" of the ship's name. She, like every other Enterprise captain, has had her struggles with her own humanity, and as such makes for a good character study in that chair. She has the chutzpah of Kirk, and the deep inner thought of Picard. If the scripts are good, she'll make it work quite well. I'll watch it.

Kurtzman is more worried about his little fiefdom than anything else... does it help that Matalas is basically in charge of all things Star Trek moving forward, while Kurtzman gets to sit there and just watch... a hands off the talent command from paramount.

I can't say I have been particularly taken with Q in the old TNG episodes though he was instrumental in one of my favourite episodes: Tapestry. I just wish the new crew is free to do the same kind of regular adventures like Pike's crew
I would be happy seeing limited series or movies with Legacy storylines. This could also avoid a long plot line spread over too many episodes. An occasional 2 or 3 part mini series that could then be re-edited into a feature movie for later use would be a great idea and would also allow for a multitude of possible stories interacting with other characters.
I like a 10 episode season. I feels like a full novel fleshed out in a 10 hour movie.

Yeah, it sounds like they want to do it, but as always time and money are huge issues! I really hope they do it and feature legacy characters from TNG, DS9 and Voyager!! I would definitely tune in to see that show!!!!!
Also the cast, Jeri Ryan is in production on a movie right now. They need to start getting contracts sent out to the actors and signed.

I hope so. It´ll be so cool if they did a show with 7 of 9 as the captian, Raffi and #1, at some guest apperances of all the TNG cast, etc. I would love to see this!!!! More Riker, Troi, Crusher (both Jack and Beverly), Picard, Worf, Data, LaForge (with his daughters), etc. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
I am a original series fan, making me a life time Trekker. Picard season 3 was amazing, it did however hold occasionally too long for applause. But even my wife who knows "of the shows" but is not a trekker, got and gets emotional when we talk about the 3rd season. She did watch all 3 seasons of Picard and also enjoyed them. I too am excited to hear "there could be more". How I saw Picard season 3, was as sports fans would refer to as, "fan appreciation day" Where the fans are shown respect and given gifts or chances for gifts. Star Trek Picard season 3 was such a gift and showed elements of fan respect in representing favorite story lines. Whether "Legacy" or "unnamed" ever becomes something, Picard season 3 will always be one of my favorite seasons. Having said that I look forward to seeing Jack Crusher and Captain Seven patrolling the galaxy. Thanks for being our eyes and ears.

No, it wasn't. It was fanservice _garrrrbaaaage_ to tickle the nostalgia balls and that's all it was. "We got the old. arthritic, grayhaired, facelifted band back together behind this crusty old fart bowleggin' around the galaxy past his bedtime, put them on the old ship you all love so they can do a run on the Death St-uhh, Borg Cube. That's right, we're bringing the Borg back for the third time in a row. And look, everybody, the T&A from Voyager getting her own butt fugly ship with her recovering space-crackhead lesbian life partner and the latest of the knock-off Han Solos this show has been crapping out for the past three years so we can do a backdoor pilot for a show called 'Star Trek:...wait for it... LEGACY!' And Geordi's daughter, isn't that cool? All those precious memberberries." There isn't a single _attempt_ at an original idea or character to be found anywhere here. This show is 'Robot Chicken' with a budget.

Discovery fans weren’t bitter about Picard season 3. We were just confused why Picard season 3 was released in the time slot Discovery season 5 planned to have. Picard season 2 ended months after Discovery season 4 ended. So it only made sense that the lineup would be Discovery, Picard, then Strange New Worlds in 2023. That’s all. We weren’t given an explanation or anything for months. I’m a diehard Discovery fan but I must say, Picard season 3 is everything I wished Discovery would’ve been. It’s truly a phenomenal season and I’ve said it since Picard season 3 episode 3, if Terry doesn’t help with whatever storyline is left of Discovery season 5 then there’s no point in releasing a 5th season. That’s coming from a true Discovery fan. I am so excited for Emperor Georgiou to return in the section 31 movie and I’m equally as excited for a Star Trek Legacy show. Captain Seven is a badass!
Jeri Ryan is very talented. Her performance in Picard was very good, but she has a lot more to give. Look at the Voyager episode, Infinite Regress. As lead in a new series, she'd have more leeway to strut her stuff.
I have been watching Star Trek in all it's forms since Star Trek (Shatner & Nimoy) and I can honestly say it is part of my life. I have been watching the bits of Star Trek (Discovery, Strange New Worlds and Picard) and would really enjoy a new season based one that carries me to meet the others. Seven is definitely my call for a captain.
I think Paramount will be smart enough to give Matalas another series. His season broke the top 10 ratings. I think that series will be Legacy, which will continue the adventurers of the Next Next Gen 2.0 of the younger cast with Seven as Captain. I think it would be nice to see some more legacy actors like Sisko, Kira and Janeway and Chakoutay appearing for a few episodes to catch up. Fans want it. Bring in some new crew also, and another important mission! Make it so! (throw in a Spock Junior also, as this happens ages from Spock)
The first thought I had when I saw the final episode of Picard was "I would love to see this line of the Enterprise G, the story of Jack Crusher/Picard and Captian Seven continued.

The ending of the final episode of Star Trek: Picard seems to make it pretty clear that Paramount is at least leaving the door open for more Star Trek. I mean, if Q suddenly showing up in Jack's quarters isn't a tease for another Trek show, I don't know what is.
I'm too scared to get my hopes up. If it happens it happens.
I have wondered why they can't do Legacy, SNW and Academy and the two animated series starting in 2025. That gives then 2024 for the Section 31 movie and a couple Discovery movies to bridge to Academy. Seems like that would work.

I think a miniseries is the move forward, if it takes 2 years and leads into a long running regular show, it could be placed at the end of a 5 year run for strange new worlds. Considering a first season is usually rough, Picard season 3 + a miniseries, could be a great way to avoid a rough first season, and lead to a 5 season run of legacy, which would hopefully set up the 25th century and Terry to continue to introduce new shows.
I think Strange New Worlds will end with a 2 hours plus movie. I already thinking an attack by the Gorn is the cause of Pine accident.
Jeri Ryan is a great choice. Let there be a LEGACY!

There's been talk about a section 31 series for at least 10 years. Matter fact they've been talkin about doing a section 31 series almost from the day they introduced it back in Deep Space Nine.
The show deserves a proper run, not being relegated to a few movies and maybe a mini series.

The first teaser trailer for ST:L should open with the blue titles on black screen, “In the 21st Century,” and then just be a handheld shot filming Kurtzman being escorted toward an important looking door, which when opened leads out onto Gower St. and gets locked behind him for good measure.
Kurtzman clearly doesn't understand how or why Picard s.3 was both popular and acclaimed. Even worse for him is that it is the only one of the multitude of Secret Hideout Trek series he, and his 37 executive producers weren't personally and heavily involved in. That's gotta hurt!
I would love seeing Jack and 7 and their adventures travelling the stars. Definitely need legacy NOW!!

To me, the scene with Q and Jack at the end signaled there will be a new series. There are so many more stories to be told with this group of characters.
My opinion is that giving the full roster of shows, the age of the actors (which will be needed to start up the adventure of 7 and company) and the fans reaction, they will start working on it right away, but not start airing it before 2 or 3 years at least.
At that point the hype will be to the roof.
Yes, I would like to see seven of nine as a captain, this iconic character not only have experienced being a borg, she have an awesome mentor Captain Jeinway and then she recuperating her humanity, and earn a part on star fleet as the number one of a spaceship who by the way was renamed the 1701 G is grate that the Enterprise becomes hers, she will e an awesome Captain and I think if paramount doesn’t see that they will loose the next- next Generation.
As of this comment the petition is close to 37,500. I think Star Trek Legacy will happen, it's only the start date of development is unknown. Anyway long term fans who have a fondness for Roddenberry / Berman ST need it and ST Legacy will be a salve for our disappointment or wounds since 2017 (ST SNWs is the exception). The only unease I have is ST usually works best as a series.
They filmed Season 3 back to back with season 2 about a year and a half ago. So to get Delancey to come in and set all that up and do all those endings you know they have a plan. In fact the rumor is they are already filming or getting ready to film. So they are just getting us worked up for more so that they can look good.
We also needed a show about the Excelsior with Sulu at the helm, a series that continued the voyages of the Enterprise E post ( the dreadful) Nemesis, a fifth season of Enterprise and a DS9 movie. None of those happened so I am not overly optimistic about this one either.
We need a Picard season 4 👍
Jeri Ryan as Captain? Yes please. Jeri Ryan is an amazing and gorgeous actress, and I would love to see her character have a journey as Captain of a ship. Never once, has she let me down with her performance in Star Trek.
Star Trek Picard season 3, was a pleasant surprise I must say. I was not overly fond of season 1 and 2, but 3, was just awesome.

The ending was good. I still think they should have given the crew the Enterpirse-D, or rename the Titan (and upgrade her) to the "USS Jean-Luc Picard" - the only person to have a ship named afterthem while they were still alive. It would have a better honour. Now we have the Ent-G - and in Enterprise show they showed us the -J, which is only 3 letters away!!! To cover 500 years!

It was a "Neo" Constitution Class starship. I expected it to be named Enterprise, not the Titan. So I rejoiced when they renamed it. A starship can easily last 125 years or more in times of peace, not to mention time travel. We have no idea how Enterprise J got there.
The J was in the 2550s and May have been old by then. It’s only 150 years away. Don’t stress about something like that! It’s all temporal Cold War so might not have happened anyway.

Oh God! Please make it happen! Piccard S3 was soooo good with the TNG crew. I felt they should've started with the idea back in season 2 or even mid season 1. I want more! This time with ST:Legacy, i hope it's with the Voyager crew this time.
Seven has so much screen presence. She has her own version of the Spock eyebrow lift for a start. Her back story is so strong and her decision making at key moments has been so good it is absolutely clear she has the perfect credentials to lead a series as captain. It would make money, have strong ratings and err Worf has to be in it. Guest spots from Riker are clearly possible. But where else in the galaxy would we like them to go? AND to be very honest Discovery failed to live up to expectations.
Or they could just cancel Starfleet Academy and the Section 31 movie to open up more space for the series that we want.
Next year so they'll have the room because Discovery will be gone.
And no they are not going to cancel those two projects.

I'm going to be fair:
I liked the first couple of seasons of Discovery. Was a breathe of fresh air from the formulaic episodic Star Trek that we had so far, and I was a bit tired of it to be fair (loved Star Trek Enterprise thou, wouldn't mind to have had more of it, so many arcs unsolved and I was really invested).
And then it got old and tiresome really fast.
As for Picard, I was disappointed with the prior 2 seasons, doesn't help that both arcs ended with more questions than when it started and there's absolutely no connection between each season (and I mean between the 3 seasons, not only the 2 prior) aside from weak plot anchors that have more holes and retcons than DS9.
Third season was ok, I won't call it exactly good, because it felt contrived, it was more of a homage to Trekie lore than a series, not to mention full of holes and leaps (spent four fifths of the season running and fighting an enemy, all gone in 2 minutes and "mystery" revealed in the next episode, without ever having the previous plot answered).
Was entertaining thou, and the easter eggs were appreciated as a Trekie but for me it will only have been somewhat worth it if Legacies is made a thing, else it was merely a mindless circle-jerk.
As for Strange New Worlds, definitely the best thing to have come out of this whole Star Trek resurgence, together with Lower Decks. I actually regained the love for formulaic, episodic Star Trek shows with these two. And I'll be honest: I'm way more ecstatic with Strange New Worlds season 2 (and more, fingers crossed) than for a Legacy tv show.
I want to see Captain 7 of 9. Now that she’s captain, she can now do all the things she always wanted to do on Voyager and send her into a deep space assignment to the gamma quadrant.
I was thinking that Seven and Jack would make great characters to create a new series around. I, personally, have been wishing since Voyager for a spin off series.

I settle for nothing less than a full on continuous 25th century series. I've no interested in the Discovery timeline. Zero. I was waiting for 2 decades for continuation of the 24th-25th century story to continue, ever since the finale of Voyager in 2001. The time is now.
I love all the talk about spinoffs from Star Trek: Star Fleet Academy to Star Trek Legacy; however, I would LOVE to see a Star Trek spinoff that chronicles the cataclysmic events that lead up to the development of the warp engine. So far, most of the Star Trek franchises have only referenced them in passing.
In the same way that Nimoy's Spock created a bridge between TOS and Next Gen, both Q and Data could help give a new generation spinoff a firm foundation. Maybe let Data join the crew for a while. But not Guinan!
So what's rong with Guinan? Why can't she reappear on the startrek legacy ? She's just as part of the legacy story line as Q or eny other on there !!!!!

While you guys gave great insight into the possibility of ST:Legacy, you omitted another HUGE clue where Rafi used an interesting choice of words when addressing Capt. Seven's first offical command on Enterprise G
mmm... there's really nothing better that any of the characters in the show could have said to provide "clues", nothing better than Q's appearance. however, even that won't guarantee Legacy. at the very least, it could have just been a way to hype the season itself and conversation about it.
There's an easy answer in all of this that keeps everyone happy (more or less). Akiva's idea of the anthology series can be used to drop a movie or two part pilot within its run to get everyone excited again. That buys a year for Prodigy to come to an end and free up a slot, or a co-production deal to be struck with Netflix for Legacy (the preferred option). The show is a guaranteed hit in waiting and Netflix has prior form with Disco so it's far from out of the question.
And within the anthology series they could also bring Walter back and do a biopic on President Anton Chekov. How cool would it be to see a flashback of the distress call he made to the Enterprise D but from in his office this time?
I actually think there’s room for another series. Section 31 was slated to be a series before things changed with Michelle Yeoh and her ability to commit to a series. I think paramount is just riding the wave of this groundswell of support.
Jeri Ryan is in too good shape to not do this. Also, there needs to be more 7of9 ex-Borg special abilities to dominate the baddies - this is one of the important character feats of her that should be explored. Perhaps this is also a chance to finally get The Doctor back on the screen.
I’ll take Legacy in whatever form I can get it - 10 episodes or miniseries or movies. They have enough solid cast to move the story forward, and enough older fan favorites who have already said they’d love to come back on a limited basis. Matalas was genius for bringing back all our TNG favorites for specific purposes, it never felt like they’re just there for smiles & fan service.
Since Picard season 3 wrapped up TNG I’d really like the first season (or whatever it is) of Legacy to have our new Generation have to work with the remaining DS9 crew. That series had so much to do with the 25th century world we saw in Picard s3. And though Voyager is kind of getting a continuation with “Prodigy” I’d love to see some of our favorites do important cameos again.
The other thing is Picard seasons 1-2, despite their many flaws, did some really interesting world-building and offered ideas that didn’t really get explored. Just how much Romulan territory is now the Wild West? Mars is still burning from that terrorist attack - how do we deal with that? There’s a whole planet full of Soong-type synths whom would look to Data as a father/grandfather. What are the good Jurati-led Borg going to do now that all the bad Queen-led Borg appear to be gone? What’s the story with that transwarp worm hole they’re guarding? Starfleet just lost many of their senior officers, people with combat experience from the Borg and the Dominion War - what effect will that have? Have the retired or semi-retired been called up to fill the gap? And of course… what version of Q did we see in that post-credits scene talking to Jack? And what does he have in store for the son of Picard???
Season 3 of Picard was an emotional experience for me. I really can't get enough of Picard and TNG and Voyager families. I'm definitely keen for more Star Trek with characters from TNG and Voyager. Please make more Star Trek spin-offs!
I would love legacy shows involving admiral Janeway which I was disappointed didn't show up and deep space nine perhaps a conclusion to the captain Cisco arc
Prodigy is set some years prior to Picard, and Janeway and Chakotay's story arcs are still very much up in the air on that series. Most of the chatter on the interwebs is saying Janeway was deliberately left out of Star Trek Picard in order to give Prodigy a wide enough berth to tell the story they wanted to tell.
This may not be relevant, but there was a lot of tension between Kate Mulgrew and Jeri Ryan when Ryan joined the Voyager cast. Mulgrew was upset that Jennifer Lien (Kes) had been fired in favor of Ryan. It's possible that they want to give each other a wide berth. That is complete conjecture, though.
