So my brother and his girlfriend visited for the weekend! He had just come back from the US actually, where he had a show and also did some busking in New York City. We really wanted to do a big performance on the streets of Seoul, but the weather was torrential rain! It stopped a little bit at night and he managed to do one performance. A lot of people wished we had announced it earlier, but we really were unsure if he'd be able to play at all. He will be back though! And next time it will be more advertised. For those that don't know, my brother is a drummer (and yes plays real drums) and is in a few bands but also does a lot of bucket drumming and has played in a bunch of countries where he has been invited for events. He became well known when a video of him playing went viral on TH-cam
Wait a second....... I saw a video of a guy bucket drumming that looked like him a while ago when i was like.. 10 or 11... COULD HE HAVE BEEN THE GUY FROM MY CHILDHOOD????????
This is so random. I think few weeks ago I was browsing fitness video and watched one where ur husband gets fit in idk like 1 month. Today i was just watching videos of street performers and this guy is ur brother!!
That's so awesome to see that Busking is done and respected around (at least certain parts of) Seoul! And Gordo has such an amazing talent (great sense of rhythm and melody)! This was great to watch.

I know you cam make allot of money if your busking in the states or Europe, but when it comes to Asia, Are Koreans/Asian good tippers when it comes to street performance.
In Seoul there is a busking culture, especially in the areas where younger people hang out, so he made good money just from this short performance. But maybe in other areas it wouldn't be the same. He has also done a lot of busking in Japan too and said often people will watch but not give any money, not the same sense of obligation as in western countries where if you have just watched someone perform for 20 mins you feel like you have to give something. So I think it varies a lot not only across Asia, but even within one country.

I don't know if he gets jealous, but I often wish I was musical. We all did some music lessons when young but I was always terrible.
