There's a reason I went for Moskva as my second tier X coal ship. It's an old dog that's still relevant today and its not braindead or gimmicky but a solid ship that rewards you for playing it right and punishes you, hardly, for not doing so. I'm not the best and thats fine, but I still enjoy my Moskva alot nonetheless.

@@ryanli5803 yeah but when the line got split, Moskva should have gotten Petro's spot. Just like Cleveland was moved from the old American cruiser line to the light cruiser line. There was no need for 2 new T10 tech tree soviet cruisers when there was already one. Sure, Tallinn and Riga would have needed to be a bit different to fit in with Moskva, but since WG pulls most of the stats and gimmicks out of their buttcracks anyways, that wouldn't have been a problem.
Hi Flaumu, I remember when I started watching and supporting your stream over 5 years ago that this was your favourite T 10 cruiser and it was a joy to watch. This was a joy to watch too but I feel it is a dying breed ship due to the Petro and other now OP ships. Sad but it's reality. It's still a master in your hands though.

Had fun times with the Petro on ranked just face tanking and pushing flanks. There is just no stopping specially if there is no CV. Now imagine if there was a Moskva right behind me lol. I ought to upload those games cause I just found it hilarious, you literally just push non stop and win flanks.
Hi Flamu, I watched your stream earlier and saw some of the Vermont games you had. As somewhat of a potato who only plays USN BBs, and especially Vermont, I have noticed that firstly the dispersion seems to have gotten extremely poor recently, worse than it used to be (even after dead eye was removed, I would say). Also, it seems to me that the aiming system in this game is absolutely broken (more so than usual), with shells landing high and low (anywhere but where I'm aiming), more often than not. Have you noticed anything similar? I know you had some trouble with Vermont, and am curious to know if this is a general issue // if WG is aware of it.
you are on spot with shells landing too low or too high constantly even against fucking stationary targets of all. I think it is done to somewhat make good players underperform - because for bad ones it doesnt matter as they can't aim at all in first place. Good players still gonna perform better but life for baddies is less of misery as not every broadside (and they give it a lot) ends up being dev strike. I recently decided to aim above water line just to get pens if not citadels (better than splashing water with shells landing short).
It's somewhat incredible and rather depressing that WG can't get gunnery right in a naval combat game. But yeah there are plenty of shooting issues, just look at the first shot of any double gun DD shooting their guns, it always splashes KILOMETERS short.
If you go into co-op there's Ai fights where full point blank salvos register no damage. The rendering of shells is just eye candy , the game calculates on RNG damage hit / miss as soon as you click, the splashes and damage on ships is just scenery, the Ai algorithm though, I think some of the co-op coding has leaked into the live server build for PVP , I watched a full health München fight a Kirov , blast 4 broadside s into the Kirov which had 4k health, the Kirov lost no health from its health pool and went onto to gun down the München, they were 4km apart, the München wasn't happy . There are real problems in the damage algorithms they are not addressing.
totally agree, arms race was the most fun i've had in a long ass time playing the game, you either pushed for the buffs or got rolled, made border humping not a worth while strat

I have 200k coal. And i dont know what ship i should buy. Should i buy moskva or marceu? I play japan gun boat DDs and for cruisers i play des moines. Any other suggestion ?
Both are great options. The only reason I would choose the Marceau is because Petro is basically a stronger Moskva and its a free ship. Marceau on the other hand, is a bit more of a unique ship to play. I like spending my coal on ships that feel unique. That's just my 2 cents.
yeah you are right ...he let 2 fires burn full time . Truthfully this is somewhat mistake - he could damage con and worst case if he gets smashed again he got Kuznetsov to extinguish everything for 30 sec. And by end of it his damage con is up again. I see no merit of letting 2 fires burn to full time on cruiser while im being shoot nose in by 1 HE spammer with long reload like Yoshino. If he hold damage con to go dark thats another story but he couldnt because Yoshino was too close and if Yoshino goes behind island he goes dark anyway.
With both of them HE spamming me and potential torps coming my way I was saving it for more potential dots. I also wanted to procc Kuznetsov ASAP to sabotage their dispersion, while having dcp ready for follow-up fires after the captain. In hindsight it might not have been the best move, but I was banking on being able to survive better with kuznetsov helping me.

She's still a good ship. Big problem with her is that now you need to be MUCH better with positioning than you used to, because now your armour is meaningless to the 2021 BB roster. Everything since Republique has been one big pile of shit on Hindy after the next.

Last thing this game needs is Petro with Hindenburg DPM, improved HE pen. Hindenburg is still absurdally good if allowed to shoot or smoked up.

Fires and floods aren't the biggest killer for Hindenburgs. It's the way the 430+mm guns interact with her turtleback. Guarantees that you almost never get an overpen. Everything is a full pen or cit. Best way to play Hindy these days is side-skirting an island while lobbing HE at enemy ships. Push once most of the enemy BBs are dead and break out the AP on anyone who shows broadside at 12km or less.
@@RPGTKingpin yeah I wasn't even considering legendary upgrade (lets be honest most of them are worthless and for research bureau so ... yeah never would use anyway) - Hindenburg fares super poor against 430mm + that is true. But it still dish off insane damage itself. Despite super heal I would give edge to Hindenburg in fight against Goliath because of sheer DPM - and Goliaths often take range mod so even more so. But Goliath got 40mm deck and better concealment so it still kinda is better pick atm against 457mm BB meta. It is still decent ship 8.8sec reload with reload mod 12 guns with 50mm HE pen and insane AP alpha - just make sure you ain't sitting in open water in front of big guns - or at least not many. Still prefer it over Zao that got standard HE pen abysmal 13.7 reload, poor gun angles - and gets overmatched by same guns while it does have little HP pool.

The situation was a single moskva battling an Azuma and a Napoli all by himself for several minutes until support arrived and they were outnumbering the enemy heavily, there was no reason for the full HP Jean Bart to go behind that island. If he was at 1/4 HP, maybe to heal up would make sense but like that, absolutely not. If you have ships like a moskva in your team, always try to protect it if possible, it will help out with DPS in the late game but that requires it to live through early and mid-game first. to note: - Moskva is fast but turns like a battleship, arguably even worse than most t10 battleships in the game! - Moskva has good frontal armor but eats citadels most of the time if it shows a tiny bit too much angle to the sides. - Moskva is the cruiser with the worst concealment in the game as far as I can tell. - This combination means it's very easy to overextend in it, and very hard to angle properly, and also hard to disengage once you are into the fight. Because you just stay lit up for ages, getting into crossfires is the biggest nightmare in this ship in particular. That's the tradeoff for good DPM and utility.
I see that legendary Mod for Moskva only gives you 1 meter better disperson from 155 to 154... that doesn't seem like much at 19km. Is this somehow better than the stat seems?

Even in randoms moskva has HE and best accuracy and range in the game what else do you want you just need to play correctly that's it and even in petro broadside is punished hard I have both the ships and I am not joking. In petro you are like slava which heavily depends on noobs mistake to show broadsides and only AP dependence which sucks sometimes.

I do agree that Moskva has excellent HE and vg Ap but it is almost as visible from space as a GK and sitting at flank next to an island will get you smashed by the CVS and new torp monster stealth dds. BTW, I've got to ranked Gold 2 in a Moskva. I love the Moskva but theirs a reason the Petro is banned.

You won't see broadsides that easily and bots really do well in close quaters if they have torps - if not ... well then obviously they don't.
Bots? These players are worse than bots. When they got carried, their stats look better. But when they have to take the job by themselves, they show their true nature.

I just bought the Moskva yesterday. I'm glad to hear it. =) Only a couple games in her. She's fun, but I have to learn to use her better.

Moskva didn't need to replaced with Petro. It stands as a very good T10 cruiser and should have stayed in the tech tree as is.

Moskva was replaced with Nevsky which was needed. Made no sense going from Donskoi to Moskva.

Jean Bart went to collect the buff. It may not be a best decision, but without that buff you would be probably dead

@@droidmotorola3884 yeah during snowflake speedfarming I realised in one game (where bots killed all my teammates and I had to make last stand) that bots are way superior to your average WoWs playerbase. You won't see broadsides that easily and bots really do well in close quaters if they have torps - if not ... well then obviously they don't.

Bots? These players are worse than bots. When they got carried, their stats look better. But when they have to take the job by themselves, they show their true nature.
It was my second T 10 after the Hindenburg, i feel its not as strong as it use to be and the Hindy is better than it was but that's just me.

@@dzello oh shitello telling more people how thier oppinions are trash once again. Well so are yours. Moskva does have 30 sec radar instead of 15 sec and substantially better dpm. Against DDs and nose in targets its not even contest. Petro gotstupid armor, but stupid armor doesn't win games - merely gives you more time to change outcome. Moskva is still tanky as fk but provides substantially more utility and firepower.
Shittello try not showing petro broadside and you will find it to be ... not that impressive at all. But Moskva can wear you down. As DD you can literally ignore Petro , but try to sit in Moskva up to 39sec 12km radar with 8sec ish reload. Best you can do is insult people then log in few more google accounts to upvote yourself ... pathetic.
You don't get it because you can't position yourself so the only ship you can play is idiot proof petro that can stand in middle of nowhere and still be okay. Positioning is required for ships with skill cap above petro like Moskva. That is why you spill your filth again.
