I will always say this, King Orange is not an evil character, has he acted horribly and deserve to be punished? Yes. Did he do that to try to hurt other sticks figures? No. Then why did he do all this? To get Gold (his son) back. He is a villain character, I won’t argue against that, but he had motive beyond “because why not?”. I personally don’t like it when TDL and King Orange are seen being friends, in all honesty I think that King Orange would despise TDL, after all he did destroy and kill many stick figures because “why not?”. And in the end he did feel remorse for his actions, and he eventually let go of trying to get Gold back, which is the first step to a redemption arc. He was “evil” in the beginning but turned out to be a much more interesting character as we learned more about him.
