I had a very strange experience at Pitt Lake a summer ago. I took my friend David who had never been there before with me. We hiked from the parking lot to the viewing tower at the end of the lake. After enjoying the view from the tower; we decided to head back. I told David to go ahead; that I would catch up. I needed to "water the plants" He began to walk up the trail and I turned my back to do my thing. When I finished I turned around to head up the trail when I saw David about 75 feet ahead of me step off the trail and walk in towards the lake. He had this devilish grin on his face that I had seen before. I wondered what he was up to and I thought he is trying to hid on me. I started up the trail towards him and I kept my eyes on him the entire time. I thought I will see if I can sneak past him and hide on him instead. I got to where he stepped off the trail without him seeing me, and I began to run. I ran for maybe 90 seconds and came around a bend in the trail and David was standing there calm as could be waiting for me. I was shocked. There was no way David could get to where I saw him to where he is now. Just no way. I asked him, but already knew the answer if had stepped off the trail to which he replied he had not. I wonder what it was? I believe it was trying to lure me to follow it. I probably would have, had I not thought he was trying to hide on me. This was definitely a paranormal experience. Anyone else experience anything like this at the lake before??
