Yes indeed, we Gentiles are better served turning humbly to learn from the Messianic Jews and gain better understanding of the context of the Scriptures. As Paul wrote, it's to the Jews that "... were committed the oracles of God" (Rom 3:2). We owe them a debt of gratitude.

    • @dfkuz
      @dfkuz ปีที่แล้ว

It’s actually just the opposite and there are no Jews in God’s eyes today because they were permanently let go at the end of Acts and everyone born after that has been a Gentile no matter what they might choose to call themselves!

@@marteionthenet8234 In a way we DO owe the first century (real) Jews a debt of gratitude because if Israel HAD accepted their Messiah, it’s extremely likely that you and I would never have been born - or saved by the grace of the mystery in Ephesians!

I mean no disrespect and as Bible scholars I know that this channel is simply seeking truth, but probably 99% of Jews today are descended from Gentiles who converted to Judaism in the area of modern-day Ukraine, so when the Bible says the word, “Jew,” do you think that it includes Gentile converts over a thousand years later?

If anyone read The Bible carefully, page by page, for all of their Christian lives on earth, with prayer in Jesus Name for understanding, God will also give them amazing insights. We all have the mind of Christ. How many Christians read their own Bibles prayerfully, faithfully, and thoroughly, believing in God for interpretation and inspiration?
God is no respecter of persons. In the body of Christ we all have the mind of Christ.
The problem with most Christians, who WERE gentiles, but are now of the body of Christ, is that they don't allow The Holy Spirit to be their teacher. They rely on preachers and Bible studies, and get snippets of The Bible, but not the whole.
Too many are confined within their denominational, or Church teachings, without fairly examining them to see if they all line up with The Word of God. We have accepted false doctrines, which blur understanding.
It's time for all Christians to read The Bible for themselves, letting God teach them. It's time to break away from false presuppositions and hear what The Spirit has to say, through God's own Word, for ourselves.
Lay down man's interpretations and traditions. Believe for God's Spirit and Truth. If we all do this, we will all come forth believing the exact same things, unified, as is God's desire.
We are to test all things by God's Word, like those of Berea did. We are all to know God's Holy Word thoroughly. Others can supplement, but God wants to be our personal teacher. We are each responsible to know God's Word thoroughly for ourselves.
We can listen to theJews who have been transformed into The Body of Christ, but don't fall into the trap of relying on them for special revelation in particular, like they are the priestly cast among us. We are all priests and kings.
The Jews who are Christians have an advantage, they seem to carefully study God's Word for what it says, without heavy prior indoctrination. Because they do this they find truth from His Holy Word, unfiltered through false lights of subtle deceptions, which have crept into so much of God's Church over the centuries. They are new, and tend to look at The New Testament with new eyes, relying on God's Word and His Spirit for interpretation.
Rely on God, and He will give to you hidden manna.
We are one body with many members. We are all united into one spirit. We are to learn from each other, grow by one another, and most importantly, love one another, but we all must first have that vital connection with God and His Word for ourselves. We are the branches, and He, Jesus is the vine. His Word must abide in us personally and vitally, as sap from our branch, who is Jesus.
      Acts 27:10-11
10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
      1 Corinthians 2:16
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
      1 Corinthians 12:13
13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
      John 15:4-7
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Example; Lord you are my Rock and my Salvation by Refuge and Hiding Place a very present Help in trouble. You are my Strength (Read Psalm 27: 1 and Psalm 46: 1). @@achildofthelight4725 Yes thank you for giving a verse I can break down for you. II samuel 7:14 tells of the Temple(spiritual) and house of David (spiritual) in which men of Israel will inhabit to worship and also be royal priesthood in Heaven to pray to God with (our bodies are not worth anything at the moment; we will need the new bodies that Christ is preparing)
7:25Now, O LORD God, confirm forever the word [of the covenant] that You have spoken in regard to Your servant and his house (royal dynasty); and do just as You have spoken.'27For You, O LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, have revealed this to Your servant when You said, ‘ *I will build a house for you* .’ Therefore Your servant has found the courage to offer this prayer to You" . But you cannot enter heaven without a spiritual body, correct?
Sons of Israel will be chastised by rods. Just like Christ foreshadowed, Jews were scattered and punished. After the Temple fall by (Titus) Tiberius the Jew.
It was for killing the Son, Christ; that the temple was destroyed and now sits an Islamic abomination. And for the Son, (that suffered) we find in:
13 " *He* [is the one who] shall build a house for My *Name* and My Presence, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever"
The throne mentions both Christs throne and Israel's throne. (7:11)
There are also the spiritual bodies given in Christ Name (John 14:2). (7:6 ) also refers to His tent, His dwelling place. For God to have a earthly dwelling place, He needs a physical body, Christ is that body. Christ was not mentioned in this verse (II sam 7:14) specifically, it was about the men that will also be called sons. And yes Gentiles will be called sons of God as well (Gal 3:28). Christ was me filmed in 7:13 was mentioned as the One who would fulfill the prophecy.
Verse 14. - I will be his (spiritual Israel's) Father, and he shall be my son. Between father and son there is not only love, but oneness. Whatsoever the father hath, that belongs also to the son by natural right. But this sonship is magnified in the Psalms beyond the measure of Solomon or any natural limits. The Son there is "the Firstborn," which Solomon was not, "higher than the kings of the earth" (Psalm 89:27); and he must have "the nations for his inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for his possession" (Psalm 2:8). Psalms like the second and seventy-second belong, not to Solomon personally, but to him as the type of the 'prince of Peace' (Christ); and they help to show us what is the true meaning and fulfilment of the words here. The rod of men; that is, such punishment as men fitly receive for their faults. David's natural posterity was to be exempt neither from human depravity, nor from punishment, nor from the changes and chances of mortal life. With them, as with men generally, there would be a tangled skein, of virtue and sin, of folly and wisdom, of terrible fall and penitent recovery. But there was to be no blotting out of David's lineage. Great earthly houses, in the long course of events, one after another become extinct, and even the tabernacle of David was to fall (Amos 9:11), but not forever. God would "raise up its ruins' in Christ, and "build it as in the days of old." So in Isaiah 9:1 there is the same thought of the complete down-hewing of David's earthly lineage, yet only to rise again to nobler life and vigour, in the 'Branch', Root, or Sucker (of David), that was to spring from the fallen trunk.

Just this morning, I asked my husband, “Where/how did John come up with “In the Beginning was the Word?!” Then YOUR podcast came up and you say ‘John was part of a discussion that was going on for hundreds of years!!!!”
Simple apostles from the lowly city of Bethsaida!!!
How knowledgeable was the average Jewish person of that time?! Did John get some of this discussion through the 3 years with Jesus?!
    Thank you! Thank you!

Who is the God of the forefathers of Peter and the Apostles? Acts 5: 29 In answer Peter and the other apostles said: “We must obey God as ruler rather than men. 30 THE GOD OF OUR FOREFATHERS RAISED UP Jesus, whom you killed, hanging him on a stake. 31 God exalted this one as Chief Agent and Savior to HIS RIGHT HAND, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. Who is Jah?

“Jah” is a gentile name for “Yah” as in “YAHWEH” the name God gave to Moses, Jesus name is “YESHUA” which means savior in Hebrew, there are scriptures clearly stating God is the only savior- Elohim, El Shaddai, are also names of God which describe His attributes

The Father and I are ONE!!!! Everything that the Father IS, JESUS IS TOO.
You are not telling us anything new by cherry picking verses in the Bible.
We know when Jesus took on humanity in His incarnation, He didnt become Athiest, He still believed in God, His Father. So the Father is the God to the Son just as the Son is the God to the Father. Have you not read the Father calling the Son as "my God"?
Dont tell us something we already know as though you have finally discovered it proving Jesus is not God of OT. No you didnt prove anything. Jesus is God.

This level of teaching should be basic teaching for believers all over. Modern 'Christian' teachers aren't required to be fluent in Hebrew and Greek, and we also have the problem with people who say the Tanach is the law when we are the grace time. Legalism is when man's teaching is to the fore, not in Scripture. Thank you for the message today.

"16 For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. 17 And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were GRAFTED in among them, and with them became a partaker of the ROOT and fatness of the olive tree, 18 do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the ROOT supports you."

I have recently been reading about the Septuagint vs. Masoretic text- Could you do a series on this? It seems really significant in the determination of the accuracy of the New Testament, and how it gets explained away due to changes at different times in history. When I go online to read, it gets REALLY confusing, due to posts by Catholics vs. protestants, vs. what rabbinical scholars say, vs what is supposedly written in the Dead Sea Scrolls. I am just looking for some SOLID truth, based on historical timelines, what version is the earliest version, and what changes were made when. What you are doing is AMAZING!

The Bible also says that Jesus before he went back into heaven that for 40 days and nights he was with the apostles explaining everything about himself plainly which would have gave them the knowledge to put the truth in print. They would not have had to guess any meaning of the scriptures. Glory be to the God and Father of our Lord Christ Jesus.

Thank you to One for Israel and Dr. Seth Postell for introducing the concept of “the old testament using the old testament’’ it is interesting indeed.
Dr. Postell explained that scholars described Isaiah 40-55 as Isaiah’s new exodus . The future redemption of Israel is described in light of the 1st exodus story (Exodus 12,13,14). Dr. Postell brought in the example of Isaiah 52:10-12 , where God will lay bare His Holy Arm in the sight of the nations .All the nations will see the salvation of God when He redeems Israel.
According to the presentation , Isaiah 53 is about the Servant of the Lord, described as the new Moses , who brings his people out of captivity. The conversation of this redemption in Isaiah 53 continues to John’s description of Jesus’s crucifixion in John 19.Both of them are alluding to Exodus 12 , thereby it seems that John is the end of Isaiah's conversation.
In my humble opinion, Isaiah 53 should be read in light of the future redemption being described in Isaiah 40-55 and 52:10-15 (which precedes Isaiah 53). To interpret Isaiah 53 as pointing to Jesus’s crucifixion may not be accurate . Israel was still under Roman occupation long after the death of Jesus. The Temple was destroyed in AD 70, which ushered in the exile of the Jewish people . This is a far cry from what is prophesized in Isaiah 54:11-17.
Does Isaiah and John have the same exact vision of what Israel’s future salvation would look like? Or is Isaiah and John engaging in different conversations altogether?
Thank you once again . Please produce follow up videos on this theme in the future.

    • @warnerchandler9826
      @warnerchandler9826 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes, Is. 53 is referring to Jesus the Messiah (Christ in the New Testament) and his suffering and crucifixion on our behalf. Is. 54-55 apply to all of us in Christ, whether Jew or Gentile.
But that redemption in him is by faith. A remnant of Israel believed in Jesus and were saved, but most (especially the elders) did not, so physical Israel and the temple were destroyed.
