Durability is debatable tho, only old school Karate fighters trained literally every part of their body by enduring full contact techniques without gloves and bandages. I can assure you that a match between a boxer and a Karate fighter is actually mysterious about it's result because I fought both of them and practiced them for a couple of years and bit more. And like many people say, this is only a general battle point with a cool edit, the actual fight is still amazing and both of their fighters around the world should respect and love each style ❤💪

People love saying that "its not the art, its the fighter" . Sure thing, but that's like saying that its not the car, its the driver. Driver while being very important, cannot do much if his car is subbar. Some systems like TKD, Capoeira, Shaolin commercial wushu, and Shotokan Karate, to name a few, are really incomplete. They cannot match more reality based combat arts like Muay thai, boxing, kickboxing, and BJJ.

I am a boxer, and in a cross matchup 1. At beginner level boxing is better 2. At expert level karate will win I have tried sparring getting kicked is a bad experience but there were times I just hit my opponent with combos and boom
Obviamente esto lo hizo un fanático del box. Yo llevo 1 año practicando boxeo y llevo 30 sparrings. También 1 semana de karate Kyokushin. Y sinceramente no podría decantarme por ningún estilo. Pues con los golpes de mano el boxeo gana por mucho al karate, usan transferencia de peso perfecta y técnicas que el karate realmente no usa, sin embargo el boxeador no sabrá bloquear una low kick a la primera, quizá a la segunda/tercera haga un contragolpe, pero el daño ya estaría hecho. Yo los veo parejos, y si combinas ambos estilos es mucho mejor. Y por otro lado, no es el arma, sino el soldado que la carga. Depende de quién sea la persona que aplique aquel estilo de combate
Eso depende mucho del peleador, si hablas de alguien que no conoce el karate obviamente le será difícil, si el boxeador sabe que su oponente será un peleador de karate mantendrá la distancia hasta el momento adecuado

Pues en box existen tipos con guardia ortodoxa, o que solo usan un tipo de guardia tipo zurda o diesta y no cambian nunca de guardia, sin embargo en karate suelen hacerte cambiar de guardia constantemente. Yo cuando entre a karate me fue algo extraño esto, pues era Boxeador diestro tipo esgrima, actualmente ya me acostumbré y puedo dar muy buenas low kicks gracias al cambio de guardias. En preparación física cualquiera de los 2 puede ganar, ya sea si el boxeador tiene la preparación física de Mike Tyson o ya sea si el Karateca tiene la preparación de Masutatsu Oyama. Y respecto a lo de mantener distancia, depende muchísimo del estilo de karate al que se enfrente. El kyo usa codos, rodillas y se decanta por golpes a muy corta distancia tanto como para larga distancia, a corta distancia también podrían reventarlo a low kicks si retroceden un poco y al poder pegarle a la cara darle un golpe directo a la mandíbula, pues el boxeador no sabría muy bien como reaccionar a una patada. El boxeador de seguro iría perdiendo al principio y luego inventaria una estrategia al analizar a su oponente, y así estaría más parejo. Nomás creo que el karate (si es kyo o kenpo) ganaba este top (Karate do no gana este top), pero igual eso no quiere decir nada, depende muy bien de quién lo practique

Bro gave combinations and fight IQ to boxing. The main reason why it's the most recommended self-defense is because it's relatively simple. Versatility is what breeds bigger room in combinations and neccesitates bigger battle iq. Not even mentioning that the most obvious sign of bias one can give off in those types of edits is creating a separate category overall and giving a point for that.
They're both very good but I think karate is overall more better because they train you in self defense and not just for points. And it's been around longer. But really it depends on the fighter.

y'all need a reality check. Boxing is the foundation of any real combat sport. If your on the street and your fighting someone who can dodge hits and throw REAL punches with their body behind it your gonna wake up on the ground with a ruined face. Karate kicks are nice if someone doesn't have the common sense to grab your kick or knock you over or can really fight. Most karate is dangerous to the user for actual fighting purposes..If you can get black belt’s without bleeding a bunch or getting bruises your probably not doing a combat sport.
Boxing has good footwork and their head movements and punches are also really fast. I have been learning both and I feel like boxing would’ve more effective for me to use and it also made me more physically stronger and faster. Even though karate has technique, it’s not stronger than the other parts about boxing like its power and endurance which can beat technique.

I’ve trained in Karate and seen/heard of a number of my friends sparring with boxers. If they are in point Karate (most Karate these days), they try and keep the distance with sidekicks and not let the boxer into range, but the boxer eventually gets close and usually wins. The Karate fighters always get the first strike, but aren’t used to continuing after the point which leads them to getting smashed afterwards. That being said, if the Karate fighter has done some full contact before (doing Kyokushin Karate or cross training in Muay Thai, Lethwei, Combat Sambo, etc.) then all bets are off

People love saying that "its not the art, its the fighter" . Sure thing, but that's like saying that its not the car, its the driver. Driver while being very important, cannot do much if his car is subbar. Some systems like TKD, Capoeira, Shaolin commercial wushu, and Shotokan Karate, to name a few, are really incomplete. They cannot match more reality based combat arts like Muay thai, boxing, kickboxing, and BJJ.

Obviamente esto lo hizo un fanático del box. Yo llevo 1 año practicando boxeo y llevo 30 sparrings. También 1 semana de karate Kyokushin. Y sinceramente no podría decantarme por ningún estilo. Pues con los golpes de mano el boxeo gana por mucho al karate, usan transferencia de peso perfecta y técnicas que el karate realmente no usa, sin embargo el boxeador no sabrá bloquear una low kick a la primera, quizá a la segunda/tercera haga un contragolpe, pero el daño ya estaría hecho. Yo los veo parejos, y si combinas ambos estilos es mucho mejor. Y por otro lado, no es el arma, sino el soldado que la carga. Depende de quién sea la persona que aplique aquel estilo de combate
Eso depende mucho del peleador, si hablas de alguien que no conoce el karate obviamente le será difícil, si el boxeador sabe que su oponente será un peleador de karate mantendrá la distancia hasta el momento adecuado

Pues en box existen tipos con guardia ortodoxa, o que solo usan un tipo de guardia tipo zurda o diesta y no cambian nunca de guardia, sin embargo en karate suelen hacerte cambiar de guardia constantemente. Yo cuando entre a karate me fue algo extraño esto, pues era Boxeador diestro tipo esgrima, actualmente ya me acostumbré y puedo dar muy buenas low kicks gracias al cambio de guardias. En preparación física cualquiera de los 2 puede ganar, ya sea si el boxeador tiene la preparación física de Mike Tyson o ya sea si el Karateca tiene la preparación de Masutatsu Oyama. Y respecto a lo de mantener distancia, depende muchísimo del estilo de karate al que se enfrente. El kyo usa codos, rodillas y se decanta por golpes a muy corta distancia tanto como para larga distancia, a corta distancia también podrían reventarlo a low kicks si retroceden un poco y al poder pegarle a la cara darle un golpe directo a la mandíbula, pues el boxeador no sabría muy bien como reaccionar a una patada. El boxeador de seguro iría perdiendo al principio y luego inventaria una estrategia al analizar a su oponente, y así estaría más parejo. Nomás creo que el karate (si es kyo o kenpo) ganaba este top (Karate do no gana este top), pero igual eso no quiere decir nada, depende muy bien de quién lo practique

Bro gave combinations and fight IQ to boxing. The main reason why it's the most recommended self-defense is because it's relatively simple. Versatility is what breeds bigger room in combinations and neccesitates bigger battle iq.

y'all need a reality check. Boxing is the foundation of any real combat sport. If your on the street and your fighting someone who can dodge hits and throw REAL punches with their body behind it your gonna wake up on the ground with a ruined face. Karate kicks are nice if someone doesn't have the common sense to grab your kick or knock you over or can really fight. Most karate is dangerous to the user for actual fighting purposes..If you can get black belt’s without bleeding a bunch or getting bruises your probably not doing a combat sport.
Boxing has good footwork and their head movements and punches are also really fast. I have been learning both and I feel like boxing would’ve more effective for me to use and it also made me more physically stronger and faster. Even though karate has technique, it’s not stronger than the other parts about boxing like its power and endurance which can beat technique.

I’ve trained in Karate and seen/heard of a number of my friends sparring with boxers. If they are in point Karate (most Karate these days), they try and keep the distance with sidekicks and not let the boxer into range, but the boxer eventually gets close and usually wins. The Karate fighters always get the first strike, but aren’t used to continuing after the point which leads them to getting smashed afterwards. That being said, if the Karate fighter has done some full contact before (doing Kyokushin Karate or cross training in Muay Thai, Lethwei, Combat Sambo, etc.) then all bets are off
