You should definitely try Teemo AP mid. Got Granmasters this season only with it. The "W" potential to dodge mage skills and the "E" potential to deep ward enemy jungle, gank bot/top, remove wards is INSANE. The "R" shroom only help you push the lane to get windows to do that and allows you to unfreeze lanes safely (remember that throwing shrooms doesn't stop your invisibility).
