Ferguson is so wonderfully hillbilly and I use this term with the greatest love I have to give. I was fortunately to have been in a band with Steve and NRBQ's original drummer Tom Staley that was, unfortunately, too short lived. But both were bastions of American contemporary music history. This wonderful hillbilly was completely sophisticated ripping off Kenny Burrell licks like hot bacon in the pan. Astounding Blues player. Astounding and uninque to all the world now and forever. R.I.P., Steve Ferguson. You were a revelation to this ol' boy like no other.
