I love the big ole monster red bug or purple candy Texas rigged or switch to a red shad color on a large jig head and swim it like a chatterbait down here in Florida.

Randy, this scenario happened to me just yesterday in Georgia. Caught my best bag ever fishing this bait in standing timber on a 1/4 oz weight. Also, I have an old Helix 5 fish finder that I forgot to charge the battery for so I went out fishing with zero electronics and had my best day. Amazing what you pick up on when you have nothing else to look at but what you are fishing.

Works well in stumps & timber when winds get high enough to make partially submerged limbs/longs slip in water.
We've been using big worms at night in the summer for years. I will definitely try this.
When was the last time you caught Big Bass, define big bass.
You guys have to stop assuming everyone has a bass boat when making these videos. And even if I did, you can't get out on the water and waste hours looking for stuff like standing timber and all of these different lake features just to start fishing. I understand some of the thinking behind live scoping, efficiency and maximization of time. Who wants to get out on the water and waste half the day looking for features where fish may or may not be located before they even throw a line in the water. I can understand the need to get rid of the scoping during tourneys, but if ice for limited time before I get off work or some family event. I don't have time to be looking for standing timber. Some of this stuff doesn't make sense for a bank angler.
If that's what u believe, then u don't actually enjoy the challenge of fishing...U are just interested in the catching part....most of the satisfaction of fishing is finding the bass & using techniques to catch them...Not relying on FFS to be responsible for 99% of the catching
@@andybales7318 I enjoy it but my time is limited! It has nothing to do with being challenged. If I want to be challenged I'll go to work everyday and be challenged by people like you who think they are right about everything!
@@noswad75thx for confirming I'm correct, u aren't interested in the actual sport of fishing..👍 no worries, that's the same thinking of the scopers...go reel fish in & play zero part in actually catching them
