No one else is mentioning it so I will. The voice acting is extremely good. Most games nowadays sound a bit cringe when they're trying to be serious but this feels epic and dramatic. The writing is also great!

Not to mention you’d never get room acoustics right if you’re sitting like half a meter from the screen (and sound plays a MAJOR role when it comes to scale).
Apparently they had to cancel the PlayStation State of Play because they thought it would help Microsoft in their bid to acquire Activision. This would doubtless have been one of the tent polls of the State of Play, but since that was cancelled, they didn't want to make us wait till the next big trade show, so they just put it out there for us.

I just want a one off FF world and experience it out the bat start to finish no different media lore connection like your digesting different kinds of food in a buffet line., i don't want it to get milk dry. They want you to get excited for the next content of that franchise inside the franchise. First Soldier is about to shut down after a year online so goodbye to that connected lore go poof and never gonna experience for yourself to fully immerse in the story because you didn't watch the anime, movie, played the mobile games or read the manga. Not everything needs to be Kingdom Hearts. This is the modern Tencent Squenix model sadly.

Yep, the English voices are the original and the Japanese is the dub in this one as confirmed by the developers. Koji Fox is one hell of an English localization lead. His work on FFXIV is also just as good, if not better than the Japanese. Even the Japanese community feels a bit envious at times when they hear it. Guy's legendary.
@@Steak818 Yeah, the story is basically that the script was written in Japanese, but then it was translated to English, then the English version of the script was used as the "primary" that all of the others would be dubbed from -- and they even rewrote the Japanese script to better follow the English version since it's more suited to the story's culture. So yeah, English is the MAIN, the rest are technically dubs, well worth playing in EN!

I've never played final fantasy other than FFXIV, and good gods, watching those Eikons gives a chill down my spine remembering all the epic adventures I've been through in XIV, thanks Yoshi-P and Soken!

Honestly hearing about the gameplay mechanics like the hunting side quests, and seeing the heavily Ivalice-inspired story and setting, I almost feel like this is secretly the spiritual successor to FF12.

Astonishing trailer. I can't wait to put my hand on this game, everything is perfect. The conflict over limited ressources, Eikons serving as weapons of ultimate destruction, pain, sorrow, suffering in a dying world, with an amazing soundtrack, man, I'm already in love with this title. At this point, the gameplay is secondary for me. If the story is good, everything else doesn't matter much....but I'm sure CBUIII are making a new masterpiece. On another note, every things that are good for some may be bad for others. To the guy who kept repeating the same comment over and over in this section, you made my day. I don't know what horror S-E did to you to have this behavior but I wouldn't be in your shoes, must be really tough to troll this hard.
Still holding onto some hope that this will be good. Yes, not traditional-FF like combat, but I'm here for the story, characters, music, and hopefully a combat system/gameplay worth more than just one playthrough.
The story is made by FF XIV writer , Soken is doing the music , and combat is made by the guy that did DMC V , Dragons Dogma and Marvel vs Capcom 2 combat , although combat will be different from other FF games the guy have made games highly praised by its combat . Also Yoshi P and the whole FF XIV team are working on this as well.
I kinda wish the trailers hadn't spoiled Josh and Clive's dad dying so grisly . It would have been a cool twist . But if they're willing to reveal those I suppose there are more crazy twists on the way.
FFT is mature too and thats what the likes of Matsuno wanted to tell, a mature story for FF. Also FF14 has its dark parts but its more on words and the way it is presented its more in line with a normal FF. Some staff from FFT and ofc FF14 is involved so its exiting to see what they can do.
I would say FF always had that, the Ivalice games especially so, but FF14 has storylines that deal with sexual slavery and slavery in general, war and subjugation, meaning of life and existence itself, genocide, tons of other mature themes. FF14 is very good and you can play solo for most of it, check it out!

The nailed the feels and tone that 15 was originally going for when it was still VS13. This is going to be epic in every sense of the word.
It has been a long, long time since I've been this excited for a new game, it's like there's a giddy schoolboy at Christmas waking up from a long slumber. I try not to buy into hype but this is striking all the right notes for me.

Honestly hearing about the gameplay mechanics like the hunting side quests, and seeing the heavily Ivalice-inspired story and setting, I almost feel like this is secretly the spiritual successor to FF12.

Astonishing trailer. I can't wait to put my hand on this game, everything is perfect. The conflict over limited ressources, Eikons serving as weapons of ultimate destruction, pain, sorrow, suffering in a dying world, with an amazing soundtrack, man, I'm already in love with this title. At this point, the gameplay is secondary for me. If the story is good, everything else doesn't matter much....but I'm sure CBUIII are making a new masterpiece.
On another note, every things that are good for some may be bad for others. To the guy who kept repeating the same comment over and over in this section, you made my day. I don't know what horror S-E did to you to have this behavior but I wouldn't be in your shoes, must be really tough to troll this hard.

Still holding onto some hope that this will be good. Yes, not traditional-FF like combat, but I'm here for the story, characters, music, and hopefully a combat system/gameplay worth more than just one playthrough.
This is hack and slash mixed with some spell magic. So it’s good don’t worry.
The story is made by FF XIV writer , Soken is doing the music , and combat is made by the guy that did DMC V , Dragons Dogma and Marvel vs Capcom 2 combat , although combat will be different from other FF games the guy have made games highly praised by its combat . Also Yoshi P and the whole FF XIV team are working on this as well.
I kinda wish the trailers hadn't spoiled Josh and Clive's dad dying so grisly

. But if they're willing to reveal those I suppose there are more crazy twists on the way.

not the first time it had mature tones, but now it is clearly darker tones ; less fantasy. Sadly
FFT is mature too and thats what the likes of Matsuno wanted to tell, a mature story for FF. Also FF14 has its dark parts but its more on words and the way it is presented its more in line with a normal FF. Some staff from FFT and ofc FF14 is involved so its exiting to see what they can do.
I would say FF always had that, the Ivalice games especially so, but FF14 has storylines that deal with sexual slavery and slavery in general, war and subjugation, meaning of life and existence itself, genocide, tons of other mature themes. FF14 is very good and you can play solo for most of it, check it out!
For real! I wish Nomura would just create his own franchise and stopped butchering FF.
