Watched it in 1992 after homework. The story really captivated me. Recently rewatched it and realized, it aged like fine wine. Great story, great animation and an outstanding soundtrack. Only the end bothered me. Sara shouldnt have forgiven her tormentors and rather donate the money to Peter and Beckys parents.
As much as I like current mainstream animes like AoT or MHA, nothing can beat vintage anime classics like Princess Sarah, Heidi, and Tales of Little Women.
I did not know there were anime adaptations of these classic books! I just found this one by accident exploring someone's channel who posts piano covers for various songs.
