I can understand your struggles and the pressure you've been through as an artist in college since I am also a college art student trying to work on a manga/comic for my Finals. Still, I know that you will do anything to work hard to accomplish your dreams as an artist.
Oh man good luck on your finals as well , honestly I don't think 3d modeling is as bad as have to draw so many frames, I find that my wrist hurts a lot more with assignments where I need to draw a lot, I feel like with a comic/manga ur juggling so many hats outside of the drawing, like design of the panels, writing etc
@@Carritube It's like every artist said, creating your best works in art whether it is 3D, painting, illustrations, or manga is never easy to begin with. It takes lots of time and patience to complete it as long as you are passionate and dedicated to making your art real.
I like your attention to details on your work desk and the core value of making it a beautiful environment to work in like a tricked out studio or backyard. I used a butcher block countertop to make an oversized station to have space for my watercolor paintings, miniature photoshoots, lights, monitor, keyboards and mice. Got to make your space as beautiful as possible and you definitely inspire.

Oh nooo I'm sorry to hear that, I can't expand much on Maya's animation features since we haven't learned that in school yet, honestly for me learning new software from the norm you're used too will feel challenging, so I don't blame you for getting frustrated 😞 I'm the opposite since I started to learn Maya first, I found blender a lot more complex, I did a vlog trying it out couple months ago if you wanna hear my first impressions
Yeah it's a good starting point, if you meet the qualifications for Maya Indie and can afford it, I suggest learning that as well , since most studios pipelines are in Maya. I've only tried to learn Blender once, I don't have enough experience to point of the main differences, but my professor encourages me to learn Maya if there's no hurdles since that's what the industry expects
It depends honestly that more of a personal preference, I prefer Maya since I'm in school for it, there's better resources for me in person if I get stuck, since most of the industry uses it compared to blender, I feel like I'm future proofing myself but learning the industry standard tool, I hope this makes sense, I'm still very much a beginner so I can't give a technical break down between the two 3D softwares

I used Maya in school as well. It was very convenient and I ended up enjoying 3D Modeling as a beginner.

I think it's kind of odd how in most 3D cartoons the backgrounds are super realistic but the characters are 'cartoony.'
Yeah I can see that, for me it's probably mean the show didn't have a good art director
Unfortunately as a blender user. Maya autodesk has traumatized me, i dont know HOW people use the controls for animating in such a complicated way. 😭
