Sir, can you please explain how cngrid raster was created? It is not mentioned in the previous module, "Introduction to Hydrologic Modeling using HEC-HMS (1/9)."
Sir please i use this video as a tutorial and i kept getting error when i try to load the terrain data (cedar_dem.tif). after creating the terrain data, it doesn't show on the watershed explorer and when i click on coordinate system under GIS, the coordinate system drop down is empty. what could be the error please?
Sir, I have follow this video thoroughly, but for some unknown reason the DEM dose not showing in the basin model window. Can you please tell me how I can solve the problem??
Good day, Sir/Maám! I am a college student taking BS Geodetic Engineering in the Philippines. I am currently taking my thesis load. Can I ask what site or open source can I get the data (for my chosen study area) that I need to be able to perform the hydrologic modeling? Your generous reply is highly appreciated. Thank you!
@@sydneyplatt4506 I use the project tool (toolboxes - Data management Tools - Projections and transformations) in arcGis Pro or Arc map. Please use a projected geographic coordinate system I.e WGS 84 33S or NAD 83 4N.

Make sure you set the coordinate system in the basin file. it it still does not show up, save your project, close it and open again.
@@hydrologyvideos8253 please how do i set the coordinates. i am not seeing any where to. i close and open my projects again, it didnt work
@@jokelawal3965 This is my question also. please tell me
Very good tutorial indeed. Engineer, what is the link for the tutorials for the preparatory work for DEM file that you import in HEC-HMS
web.ics.purdue.edu/~vmerwade/education/lab2.pdf
Hi, could you do a video on how to create the files needed? That would be amazing and helpful! thanks
I have the same question, how to create files from specific river?

at 8:20 in the video, I explain what to do if the DEM does not show up. Also you can save your project, close an open again to see if it shows up.

Hello sir, how can I create DEM Model for Hec-hms? Because it is not mentioned in previous video.
there are global DEMs available that you can use for your area of interest. or you can create one if you have survey topography data
Sir, can you please explain how cngrid raster was created
Please sir i have the 4.10 version of hec hms,can you tel me if it is possible to calculate the curve number on it?

Hi Sir, why the "terrain data button" in my hec-hms not active? It seems like I cant click on it.
I am having the same issue did you find the answer?
Sir, the download link for the data isnt opening with the link in PDF. How can I get the data alternatively? Thanks
use the address without the final file name. you should then able to get the file from the link.

Sir, Can you tell me if hec-hms works only with sentinel tif file as terrain data please ? I use a srtm tif file but it doesn’t appear
It should work with any DEM in TIFF format. Make sure the data are projected.
