Thank you so much Michelle. The only thing I knew I was going to use for sure was the sketch and the pattern paper when I started the video.
Of course I love everything about this layout! And I am so enjoying all the little peeks into your CDT girls trip together! How great to brainstorm as a group when everything SU was so new! I'm very impressed with how you have all embraced the new product line, although I'm not at all surprised, because you ladies are the epitome of enterprising and adaptable. The best tip I took away was the embossing on the foil embellishments! I've often struggled because I want to use gold or silver paper, but you can't stamp the image on the foil paper first so the detail is lost. Embossing bring back just the right touch of detail! Thank you Janice !!
Thank you so much Jude for your kind words. We had an amazing time together and so fun to be all in the same place at the same time. First time for me meeting everyone, it was so exciting! I'm so glad you enjoyed the tip on embossing die cuts. Sometimes die cuts need a little extra life and this works well, as does ink blending.

Thanks Marsha. I placed the leaves to lift the layout a bit and give it some sparkle/shine - but they could definitely be left off or done in a different colour if you wanted to recreate this design.
I love the finish of these pages even though I am not a brown person, so never use it , actually I ended up giving a lot of my sheets to a friend; however, I love brown to highlight pink as it sets both colours off to perfection, so as soon as you introduced the pink, then I was sold!! It is the same with grey paper, it enhances pink as well - yes I am a pink person & yet blue suits me! So you guessed it! My mother dressed me in blue until as an adult I could choose the colours I wore & although I love purples & lilac, it is the bright shades of pink that look best on me.
Thank you so much Louise. I was hesitant to introduce brown because of all the brown in the photos - but the pink seemed to make everything so much brighter and I do love that pattern paper. I was dressed in red pretty much my whole childhood!

Where can I purchase the black mats you use in your videos
Debbie, the black mats are Versamats from Close To My Heart. Unfortunately they are no longer available to purchase as the business has closed. I'm really hoping Stampin' Up offer something like this in the future as they are so good to work on.
