So, Leanne, I believe is supposed to be a younger version of one of Katie Bell's friends from the Half-Blood Prince. I have no idea why she's in this set, but I think they're just running out of characters.
That's crazy lol. Hey, I'm all for the variety. It's better than getting the same characters over and over again and will always add some variety to the scene!
I love the new Troll & the fact that Lego is using the Avatar long arms & legs more often now which some other recent characters really could’ve used (Sauron from Barad Dur & Gru from the new Despicable Me 4 sets) & it’s nice that we are finally getting more ghosts but my favorite will always be the fully glow in the dark minifigure Lego did for Nearly Headless Nick. It’s just such a great idea to do a fully glow in the dark minifigure as I didn’t think Lego would ever do something like that.
Just looked and I'm actually shocked that's how they did Gru, hes got basically the same build as Eggman, why make him look like a secret third Wet Bandit?
Leanne was friend of Katie Bell's and McGonagall briefly says her name in Half-Blood Prince right after Katie's accident with rhe cursed necklace. I also love the new Igor Karkaroff, since that hairpiece came out in Friends I've wanted lego to reuse it in a different colour and Karkaroff is the perfect start to that!
It’s nice that the Snape is back with the “Snape legs”. The piece for his 2018 figure have been reused all over the palace, so it’s nice to see Snape himself using them again.
It's another great wave of sets. Lego really perfected this theme with so many great sets and minifigures. My favourite figure is Professor Vector. I just love collecting new and lesser known hogwarts staff. However I started to feel that lego is running out of ideas for sets. Hopefully they don't discontinue the theme like 2011
It is hard for them to get new sets if there isn't any source material to go off. That is why licensed sets are always at a slight disadvantage. I'm not an expert, but from what I've seen and heard about Lego Harry Potter, they redid a bunch of the sets and minifigures and improved quite a bit over time in quality, which must be great to have as a fan of the franchise.
Same here. It is simply another relaxed Cheesey video that delivers. Getting schooled a bit in themes I know nothing about, which is quite normal for me. Some of these themes are far better than I expected, even a lot of the discontinued ones.
As far as I can see, Padma/Parvati Patil is the new Siena skin color, isn't she? That makes her the first minifigure to have this skin color + hands in the color.
As always, great video ! In my opinion, Wizard and Witch are a great characters, as they allow children to imagine out of the boundaries that the movie sets.
Comparing them side to side, I can say Shelob looks a bit more realistic (if you discount the enormous size it is meant to be) but Aragog is indeed a bit more creepy. I think I prefer the more 'chunky' Shelob, but that might be just LOTR bias.
@@pinobluevogel6458 I agree that Shelob's proportions are more realistic but for some reason she doesn't bother me at all. Aragog though sets off my arachnophobia a lot. I think it's because she's skinnier and more "spindly" if that makes sense.
Gotta say that new troll looks very much more like a troll. The other one took a bit too much Ozempic. Coincidently, I also like this troll the most out of all the minifigures. It reminds me of the LOTR Cave troll, which is basically the same color, has a different head and is quite a bit larger. It is becoming a trend for me to say this about almost every theme, but I'm not very much into Harry Potter. :) Still, the theme has some excellent fantasy creatures and I truly love the design on the big owl from the Hogwarts Icons set. Also a great theme for sand colored parts, I'm currently building a modern style appartment, where 50% of the Tan parts are from Harry Potter buildings that were in 2nd hand collections I got. So thank you Harry, for making building in Tan a bit cheaper.
The new potions bubbling potions pieces are cool The minifigures are awesome The standard wizard minifigure is actually great, reminds me of Newt Scamander The arm printing really adds a lot
I love the Durmstrang guys. One looks like the perfect northern lord in full fur and ready for a hunt, the other one ... not sure what to make of it, but I like it. The professors have great arm and torso prints. I might have to start collecting Harry Potter soon enough ...
@@CheeseyStudios I already got the thestrals and the griffindoor banner (to use in my lion knights castle) last year - liked the experience - hate the full price and non yellow minifigs :) - got the banner at around 50% off. I will most likely get the ship this year and maaaybe the hogwarts combination sets ... not sure I will have slots for them though .,.. between barad'dur , snow white's cottage and 2 or so medieval villages...
Love the professors and trolls included in this great hall, but probably holding out on that one for... a while. As nice as it is, that price tag is hefty, so I'll likely wait until it either drops a little or we get a fuller picture of the new Hogwarts system to sell me on it for good - I do prefer the new, more detailed modular approach to the last iteration's flat, blocky and flimsy one, but it is quite a bummer that you can hardly choose your preferred one, given how one will be partly off the market by the time the next one is revealed. Still looking forward to see what this series of Hogwarts sets has to offer - Here's to hoping the final product will look good enough for me to finally put Hogwarts set purchases to rest.
Oh man I love those new potion elements although I will say a bit specialised and kinda takes away from say the use of say Bellville jugs in mocs 🤪. That new buff gym troll is amazing and that victor krum aswell, overall excellent wave!
I don't like lego harry potter too much, I mean, I like the books, but I don't buy harry potter sets. But damn, this spider is something I need. It isn't an expensive set, but it looks great. I'll buy it more to my lego fantasy/DnD, but I really love how he is builded, almost like I imagined him while writing the books
@@CheeseyStudios I think the designing options for Harry Potter D2C sets are running short. We already have Castel, Diagon Alley, Train station and a few display sets.
The spider is fine to use with other fantasy based themes. It is great that Harry Potter is available en masse in ordinary stores, which means you can pick them up at a discount to have relatively cheap pieces on occasion.
I don’t get why Lego gives Harry Potter minifigures dual molded legs every opportunity they get but for Star Wars there’s no way you get them for less than 600 bucks
Do Starwars minifigures need them? A lot of the Star Wars figures have basic color schemes because of what they are supposed to resemble. Maybe it would fit a more specific character.

Some people definitely collect them, though not solely by buying sets that include them. Some minifigures come in quite expensive sets, so then you're better off buying them on the aftermarket. Often enough, it is the minifigures that bring a build to life. (If you build at minifigure scale)
Personally I'm really glad they didn't do that for Sauron - the proportions are just too weird. Love having a standard minifigure for such an iconic character
@@CheeseyStudios I get that... but I HAVE to see what it'd look like in comparison. Sauron is crazy tall compared to a human, I think he could pull it off. The printing would have to be top notch all through the limbs though. Maybe I will do a figbash in the future just to get an idea.
Daphne Greengrass, mentioned briefly during OWL’s, and sister of Astoria Greengrass, late wife to Draco Malfoy. They really are running out of ideas. I mean, she was mentioned one time. One time! Come on Lego, do better!
