It's honestly really sad, Zhang Qiling and Xie Yuchen will have to watch Wu Xie and Xie Yuchen grow old and die (and that's the best case scenario....) while they stay as they are. Xie Yuchen will probably be ok after a while, but for Zhang Qiling it's established that Wu Xie is his only connection to the world. the only thing (besides his skills) he remembers when he loses all his memories. Losing Wu Xie will be losing EVERYTHING.
