A lot is missing here, but at some point, Nicholas and Sangria get into a fight, which causes her to lose her voice somehow. After some time, she begs Nicholas for her voice back. Nicholas agrees, and this leads to her final performance, in which the god (or her) burnt down the opera house, leaving nothing but a goat shaped shadow in the changing room.

She wears a black Victorian jacket with puffed sleeves, a dark red jabot, A black chiffon collar, a black vest, incredibly torn (or just short) coattails, a pair of burnt gray pants, and tall black stiletto boots (for some reason??) Sangria also has a lot of symbolism! Since somebody already commented on her original lore, I wanted to talk about her costumes! Basilissa: Her S-Tier has a lot of parallels, she is the queen of the Byzantine Empire, with Keigan as her right-hand woman, who is of a higher status compared to others but under Sangria. Margaretha and Yidhra also are servants/devoted to her. The avars' descedants (Kevin and Vivtor) came to her resting place, stealing her gold and treasure. She was reborn alongside Keigan and William (who acted as the rebel against her with Eli. This essence parallels many things, such as her theme of "rebirth", and reclaiming her place, orignally her stage, here, her throne. Her being close to a lady in red named (Keigan) Nicholas (Keogh) is likely another clever parallel to Mrs. Nicholas! Consindering we now know her father being wealthy, it's possible this was another parallel with people stealing her gold. The rebels or greedy people likely parallel her father, those that might use her or not be on the same side as her. This essence's theme might also be due to Pan, as his murals were also found in the ir;l Byzantine Empire, and there are theories the Goat God is based on Pan. I will also mention VBTS as it's description compares magnificient stage to an icy cage. All these icy elements seem to show her theme of warmth and fire. In a way, she is trapped in an icy cage, devoid of warmth, no proper relationships or love to keep her going, her mother is dead, her father abuses her, and she was not allowed to become friends of the audience, this life is by extension, cold and cruel. Yes, Nicholas is the woman in red, and her name has already been mentioned in the Deductions. Nicholas likely either killed her father or the ritual did. Sangria also has a lot of symbolism!
Since somebody already commented on her original lore, I wanted to talk about her costumes!
Basilissa: Her S-Tier has a lot of parallels, she is the queen of the Byzantine Empire, with Keigan as her right-hand woman, who is of a higher status compared to others but under Sangria. Margaretha and Yidhra also are servants/devoted to her. The avars' descedants (Kevin and Vivtor) came to her resting place, stealing her gold and treasure. She was reborn alongside Keigan and William (who acted as the rebel against her with Eli.
This essence parallels many things, such as her theme of "rebirth", and reclaiming her place, orignally her stage, here, her throne. Her being close to a lady in red named (Keigan) Nicholas (Keogh) is likely another clever parallel to Mrs. Nicholas! Consindering we now know her father being wealthy, it's possible this was another parallel with people stealing her gold. The rebels or greedy people likely parallel her father, those that might use her or not be on the same side as her. This essence's theme might also be due to Pan, as his murals were also found in the ir;l Byzantine Empire, and there are theories the Goat God is based on Pan.
VBTS: Her A-tier gives her a small role of somebody in the sidelines, starting the prologue and letting the story continue. While may seem random, this costume seems like a representation of Sangria AND Nicholas!
Sangria is a female opera singer, who, much like Judith in the story, faced imprisonment and cruelty from a trusted male figure (her father and in the a tier bluebeard). The themes of birds and cages fit her so well as she is themed after jailbirds and was "freed". This "freedom" was obtained thanks to Nicholas' words, there is no rebirth without pain. Similarly, VBTS reads the prologue lines that hint at the fate of the story, so, just like Nicholas, she is red woman who changes the course of the story with a few simple words that change the protagonist (Sangria/Jiudith)
Lorelei: A key figure in the Mdinight Carnival story, Lorelei is a famous soprano who mysteriously stopped singing after an accident that lead to the destructuion of the stage. People believed it was caused by her. They also believed the reason she stopped for performing for so long is due to losing her voice or being arrogant, but those are mere rumours. She was an important singer of the Caarnival, and performed amazingly, though was worried if the stage wasn't perfect, otherwise she would've completely not performed. After the performance, she stopped performing once more, this time because she won't continue until she helps a friend.
This time, Lorelei represents various key elements of her fate and story, being the loss of her voice, ""accident"", having a close friend, being somewhat a perfectionist, etc. She also seemed to have owned a small black kitty in the story, but not sure if that matters haha.
PAWN-h2: Essence B-Tiers aren't super detailed without events, but based on the context, she is one of the many chess pieces fighting in Checkmate's (Galatea S-Tier) chess board. Her description: "Before you stop, have you forgotten that there is no salvation behind you, only a cliff to doom?" could refer to her father abusing her, if she stops performing, her life won't get better, and she likely would've faced more severe issues. Her fear of dissapointing her father is evident , especially in her Petrified Voice accsessory.
This costume generally may reflect her struggles and having to keep performing, otherwise she would be doomed.
Symphony of Nature AND Petrified Voice: Not much to say since she only has her description to give her lore, but the description saying "Sing for the world, sing for art, sing for the frozen stage." always intrigued me due to her fire theme, why make it frozen themed?
Which is why i want to talk about the Accsessory as well, according to the Anniversary livestream, it's a bell used to notify actors when it's their time on stage, and it being frozen is connected to her tragic past.
I will also mention VBTS as it's description compares magnificient stage to an icy cage.
All these icy elements seem to show her theme of warmth and fire. In a way, she is trapped in an icy cage, devoid of warmth, no proper relationships or love to keep her going, her mother is dead, her father abuses her, and she was not allowed to become friends of the audience, this life is by extension, cold and cruel. Her becoming friends with Nicholas, even if she likely had ulterior motives and is described as a bad person in her design notes. This coldness can be attributed to the cold treatment she received, so by being "reborn" she thawed the stage, and freed herself from the abuse and her life.
