My dear Emma. When I am down and out I watch or re-watch your videos. This one is just beautiful. The flower pot....who would of thought of that but you!! Love your videos!!
Another Incredible Clever Video with lovely music! Such wonderful ideas. I was taught how to make "rag rugs" using your Coaster method as a child. No Scrap Left Behind!
❤❤❤❤❤❤ the coaster ….. that’s going to be my next project ! I was in a fabric shop recently and asked the owner what she did with all her long strips, and she had a big bin behind the counter… She offered me a big plastic bag of them which I enthusiastically took so all your ideas will help me use them up… I had plaited some of them together and made a ball of plaited ribbon to use on gifts❤
I loved all of your ideas for using scraps. I really needed a calming and relaxing video today so your video really was a life saver!! I think I will go back and watch several of your previous ones that I have already watched before - they always bring me joy. So thank you so much for “saving the day”!! Hugs and blessings to you each day………………….
My grandma taught me how to crochet potholders and coasters! I still have a few of them left that she made. It’s been 20 years since she passed. This remind me to make them for my kids when they move out. Start a family tradition she started.
I simply LOVE everything in this Emma. Especially love the fabric yarn coaster. A beautiful tutorial put together with lots of ideas and inspiration ~ thank you again for another lovely video lovely lady xx
Very cute little projects. Thanks for the idea. I would sew my strips of fabric together instead of knitting them for the yarn. I would keep on crocheting around to make a rug instead of coasters. I’m going to give it a try at least. Ha! Thanks for a cute video.
Oh lovely Emma, this video was so gorgeous. I was absolutely mesmerized!! You are utterly adorable and so talented. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful ideas. Take care sweetheart. Rachel xxxxx
Emma, Thankyou for sharing your inspirational talent 😊 your videos are an absolute pleasure to watch, they aren't just great tutorials, they are so calming and relaxing. All your ideas are lovely and you are too. xxx💖
Such fabulous ideas! Thank you for sharing! 😊❤ I love your boxes in the background. I'm currently organizing my sewing room and will be making some storage boxes like them. 😉
I love your ideas! I am currently making several of your patterns as a sewing kit for epp. Needle Book is done, I am working on the basket to hold it all. Scissors case, sewing case and pincushion to go yet. I don't have Liberty here in the US. You can order it but the price is prohibitive for me. I am getting much the same look as yours by useing what we call calico here. Those are tiny all over flower prints. To the gals in NC, I am an Army brat, both parents served WWII. My husband is a career veteran. Thank you ladies for your service. I am in WA state.
I love Calico fabrics! They are so sweet. I love anything with tiny florals. I totally understand about the cost of liberty, I didn’t have any until a few years ago. I buy the smallest pieces I can and I often buy scrap packs which can be more cost effective. I even had lovely friends who gave me their scraps which was so kind. Thanks so much for watching
This was helpful and gives me ideas for the long scraps ( instead of throwing away- not me!). i enjoyed the Piano Music, too! I never learned crochet but I’ll figure another way- Thank you Emma, for your help!
@@emmajonesvintagesewingbox You are humble and talented, and I am pretty sure that you don't realize how wonderful it is for us to watch you quietly working, making everything look so easy. I wish you were my neighbor but I am in NC USA. Thank you for all you do.
@@anitajackson8622 I wish we were neighbours too! I’d love to have sewing friends living nearby. I’m so happy to connect with you here and share the joy of sewing, thank you for such lovely words 🤗
Hi Emma , it's Lynn here on my Hubby's phone , mines playing up 😏, Woo what lovely things you make 🤗, your videos are so relaxing I was dropping off there 😆😂😂😂, nearly forgot to like and comment 😆😂😂, I don't tend to get too many scraps , but when I do I do a , what I call , crazy patchwork , you know like all over the place 😊, I'm just doing one now , out of Kaffe Fassett fabric , then I'll cover a note book with it 😊, after all the well known fabrics are so expensive we can't waste them can we ?, and the note books do look lovely if I say so myself 😂😂🤣, Take care x
This is a lovely project. I used fabric yarn to knit a tote. I tied the strips together and used the knots as part of the design. I didn’t fold the fabric in half. The frayed edges also added to the finished product.
Thank you Brenda! And thank you for the lovely videos you make on your channel! I love your sunflower quilt, I wish I had time to make it too but I’ve watched lots of the videos, very inspiring
I also love 💕 everything you have shown us. Great 😊 ideas and everything so beautifully made. Love all your work. I always look forward to seeing your videos
What lovely ideas for these long scraps. I love the idea of wrapping the hoops and your little flower basket is just beautiful. Thank you for all these wonderful ideas. As always I love watching everything Emma. 🪡🧵x
Honestly, that really means so much. Every time I make a video I feel nervous in case people don’t like it, so thank you so much for the positive words and encouragement. Have a great week
Thanks so much Grace. I hope you can get some Liberty one day, but in the meantime you can do all of this with any fabric too. Thanks for watching and have a great week
I loved this idea! ❤ I just found your channel and I’ve enjoyed watching all your videos. You have a very calming, tranquil voice that relaxes me as I’m stitching along with you. I am nearly finished with my first EPP quilt top and I can’t wait to have it finished. ❤
These ideas are wonderful!! Like a numpty I covered the wrong circle of my embroidery hoop hahahaahaa it came off fine though and started again! Don't know where my brain is lately. Thank you for your lovely videos. I've been finding it hard to sleep for a while and I watch your videos to inspire me for the next day. They really calm and focus me ❤❤ thank you xxx
Some lovely ideas, especially the crocheted coaster. In the summer you can also use them to tie in your plants, fabric strips are ideal for this as they soft but strong so don’t damage the plants.
When you have little chunks of fabric from working the strips, get a pint or even half pint glass jar, toss the chunks in and when it's full you can quilt a decorative cover for the lid and you have a nice pin cushion
I know we're not seeing it in this video but I would be over-the-moon grateful of you could share where you got your super cute school house sewing box. It is absolutely adorable!!
