Canada and Norway have one thing in common we both have royal heads of state. This video is all pomp and ceremony very simular to the way we celebrate Canada Day every July 1st. Norway is indeed a beautiful country.

This brings back many memories of my one and only Grunnlovsdagen experience in 1987. Wish I could return to experience it again someday soon. Happy 17th of May to all my Norwegian friends.

Similar to Canada Day on Parliament Hill in the national capital of Ottawa. Oslo looks a lot like Ottawa with numerous old and new buildings and hills in the background. Ottawa is located in central Canada about 2,000 miles from the Atlantic and about 3,000 miles from the Pacific, in the Commomwealth of Upper Canada the Province of Ontario along the Ottawa River which borders the Commonwealth of Lower Canada the Province of Quebec. Ja Vi Elsker Dette Landet, Yes We Love This Land of Norway.

Ottawa is only about half the size of Oslo, there's about 1 million people whom reside in Ottawa. Now Toronto which is the Commonwealth Capitol of the Province of Ontario is more than three times the population of Oslo, about 6.7 million people live in the GTA the Greater Toronto Area. I think that's about the population of the entire nation of Norway, and we have it all in one city. Canada is about 40 million people and Canada will be independent for 150 years July 01st 2017.
