The car is a daily driver, but it is not a stock 72. It has a 1977 transaxle, 1986 Turbo brakes and a 1995 3.6l engine that's rated at 272 crank horsepower. The suspension has a bunch of improvements engineered by Tyson Schmidt of Hergesheimer motorsports.
Thanks! Willow Springs is the oldest continuously-operating track in the United States. It's been around since 1953, I think. It ought to be a national treasure, but it does not get much attention lavished on it by the owners. It's got some bumps. Still, it's my favorite track -- it's very fast.
Great Job!! Love your Porsche, great grip, sound and sweet set up! It is so tough getting a nice clean lap at track days. So many variables can ruin a good start and good time. So Congrats on finally beating your best lap time! be safe and enjoy that sweet ride for many more laps ;^)
He should have his hands at 9 & 3 on the wheel and not move them around. He also back shifts that motor a few times. If he ever spins the car he'll learn that hands on wheel position is important.
@wassuprobleemjoh Do you have any idea what you're talking about? (That'd be a massive "no"). You don't drive on track. You have no idea what kind of cars hold what kind of lap records on the worlds' tracks. But that doesn't keep you from calling people stupid that you don't even know. Are you from one of those insignificant, jealous countries, where their favorite pastime is bashing the worlds' most pre-eminent nation? (That'd be a massive "yes") You got nothin on us.
IT's one of my most favourite tracks. Fast, technical and great fun! I try to go there as often as I can, and I love the people there.
Very nice car.. very nice garage/set up you have. Super video of it all !!!

Thanks for this upload. I wanted to see what the track looks like before it comes to GT5. I wish I could drive it for real, though.
