5:30 Technically increase here is not 22% but ~6%. Of course number goes up by 22%, but a single level up for a skill amounts to pretty much nothing since relatively to the base value level up increases it by a tiny fraction of that. Of course when you stack multiple upgrades together this becomes quite significant. You just explained it like a single upgrade is something huge. It would be huge if increase would be actual 22% percent. As in 365% -> 445%. Now, this is huge. However, the difference between level 1 and level 6 skill amounts to ~30% extra power. This is a serious bonus and something you definitely want to have, but by no means this is huge. Gear and its levels is by far more important at any point in the game especially considering it's significantly easier to stack these levels up multiple times.

Worth noting, atk% only applies to base attack, it DOES NOT apply to flat artifact attack (like the feather). This means to be optimal, you should generally get attack% to around 100% extra, then start getting crit. If you have extra crit damage, the trade off goes lower so less attack%, more crit rate. 1 point of crit rate is worth 1.5 points of attack% to accessories (easy to see with 2 piece soujourn and 2 piece berserk set bonuses at 18 and 12 respectively). That ratio is the same for stat lines. I haven't figured out when it's best to up crit damage because I haven't gotten a good crit damage primary statline 4* yet.
@@Meonium I mean, the math is simple to do. You don't have to think anything. Each point of attack% increase is roughly 2/3rds total damage increase, because it doesn't work on feather. Each point of crit at base crit damage is 1/2 total damage increase. Crit is also 1.5x more "expensive" You get a bigger boost per point of attack% up to 70% then crit is better per point, but again you can't get crit for the same value so it actually moves to 100% attack% before it's worth switching to crit.
@@Meonium Up to around 100% extra attack%, then crit rate is better. If you have crit damage up, crit rate becomes superior even sooner. If you don't have the weapon and set bonus for attack, you want 3 attack% accessories.
Another thing which is super important which is why ppl will tell you to focus on 1 or 2 characters: constellations. To give you an example, Frischl's first constellation essentially gives her 2 attacks per hit + electro dmg. Think about that. Takes her from a bow user to essentially a magic user, dealing constant electro and doubles her attack! And shes 4*! Most 5* dont even have such good constellation, and thats just her 1st! Meaning all you need is 1 dupe of Frischl. The game's pity will be revamped next patch so really keep that in mind. I see a lot of people sleeping on their characters because they not upgrading artifacts, they not doing talents, not focusing on dupes. Listen, you dont want to focus on a team of Qiqi, Diluc, Venti and Keqing unless you got MONEY $$$ to get those dupes for the constellation. So keep that in mind
When u got problem with some shrine, like u are close to beating it but always fail, go make some food, it really help, 4* food for attack and defense is easy to craft, and gave u 300 attack, 12 % crit and def, that's actually a lot, and if u have razor go craft the claymore with 240% splash damage, I hit like 1.6k + 2.4k of splash which is like instant death for enemy in the world
Learning about artifacts and their importance was so useful. I learned that from your previous video where you said to just get +ATK and +ATK% stats. Such simple thing but it somehow flew over my brain. Thanks for all these tips! Subscribed!
i have a set idk if its actually good but, while you're farming for your dps, its best that you put martial artist on ur dps and sub dps (this is my opinion alright)
don't know if you played Summoners War, but artifacts are VERY similar to runes. End game, the best stats will be atk/crit dmg/atk with crit rate on all substats
My biggest issue is I slowly get 4* artifacts and when I do they seem to be poorly stat'ed. Like HP of DEF or Element. They don't fit into my main characters (Xiangling, Fischl, traveler/Anemo, Barbara). There's a few 3* artifacts that have some okay ATK but really don't feel like spending to + them. And then you have that one set that gives 18% atk bonus for 2pc set so sometimes I'll just throw that on since it feels equivalent to the 3* gear with a few +'s. I'm trying to make it a bit further so I can more effectively farm good 4* gear. I'm at AR 26 and 3 characters between lvl 40-50.
Noticed this a couple of hours before you brought it up in your lv 35 stream. Needless to say AR 25-30 was a fkn chore, now after grinding out my talents I'm tearing through stuff like knife through butter lol
So I've ascended my main character once, his atk is above 100 and enhanced my weapon to level 20 and its base damage is 119. But im only dealing damage between 50 and 70. What do I do?
100 is pretty low even for level 20 so try upgrading a little bit of damage. You also will get to a point very fast where if you don’t combine elemental abilities you won’t do jack shit.
You're not wrong tbh D I just found out I do more dps with higher crit chance as MC with the ps4 exclusive sword specifically on mc you get 66 bonus atk including the swords base stats so I just felt it would be better to have some crit cause my autos are still low asf with just normal atk BUT you're right it's just the sword provides me a wider area
It's kind of funny, but I put the Black Sword on my main character and because of that I've been building her for attack/crit rate already (the Black Sword procs when you score a crit hit). I'm currently AR 27 and have a Crit Rate of 47%. Crit damage is only 50%, but I'm still working with whatever purples I can get in random drops, so...
you posted this only a few minutes ago and already have one dislike... i swear some people get on just to dislike videos and leave lol. pretty useful this video was
This is why I am glad I played the cbt got too experience all of this and not make certain mistakes during open beta. Atm at 1.9k atk on my Kequing and I'm just ripping mobs apart with Xianling overload reaction and super conduct from ice enemies.
My Beidou is level 30 doing about 150 - 200 per slash. When the enemy is burned and she does her counter, it's 1000+ damage. I guess I'm doing something right I hope lol
Would the talents really impact your dps that much? Like in the example you show at 5:30 with Jean, it's not a 22% increase in damage - it's really about a 5.6% increase, and only in skill damage for that one ability. I know it's not nothing and you should do it, but let's be honest, if someone is currently doing 100 damage, working on this is not the way to fix that problem as 105.6 damage is not going to cut it. In my experience, increasing artifacts to 16 has the most impact on dps. Weapon would be next. Everything else after that is just very small optimizations that, when taken together, add up to a lot but aren't that meaningful in of themselves. Enemies aren't typically 1-shotted unless they are much lower level than you are, and so whether something takes 17 attacks or 18 attacks to kill it is a fairly unnoteworthy optimization and isn't likely to make a difference unless it makes you squeak by a time trial by 1 second, and that's less than 1% of the entire content where that even matters. People get hung up over the small stuff.
the problem is we have no place to test new chars. yesterday, another prayer bringed me three new haracter, but i don't know if they good because i cannot play them against mobs in a third level world without upgrade :c
So here's a question, what's a better attack build? over all attack percentage or elemental? or maybe both, having a two piece with a three part build? Your cup has a Physical DMG bonus, so im wondering if that paired with more of that or the over all ATK %.
Just a quick reminder: the scaling from 365% to 387% is a total damage increase of around ~6% on that particular skill, not 22% as he said. Since 365 is 100%, the jump to 387 is "just" 6%. Doesnt change the fact, that increasing your talent levels grants you nice amounts of extra damage. Cheers and thanks for the videos!

When u got problem with some shrine, like u are close to beating it but always fail, go make some food, it really help, 4* food for attack and defense is easy to craft, and gave u 300 attack, 12 % crit and def, that's actually a lot, and if u have razor go craft the claymore with 240% splash damage, I hit like 1.6k + 2.4k of splash which is like instant death for enemy in the world
The talent and constellation part rlly helped me a lot🙏💪! I didn't even know about that and I've been play for 5 days now... TY a lot!!!!!!🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Whatsup guys it's your boy Demone! from E7 to Genshin~ great stuff!!
Im still AR10 cuz of freeze and lag, but i'll save these tips for later
thank you Demone Kim
Novabow John Mivule same but I’m AR 16
I have no problem when playing on my phone and pc. But then again I have a note 10 plus and a good pc that can handle it so I guess its your device.
It really helped me out, but can you make a overview or review of battle pass weapons I was not really sure if it's worth it or not
He constantly praises it. I'm pretty sure he says it's the best value, followed by the welkin moon
@@amyyost7022 probably because the rest is shit value
Learning about artifacts and their importance was so useful. I learned that from your previous video where you said to just get +ATK and +ATK% stats. Such simple thing but it somehow flew over my brain. Thanks for all these tips! Subscribed!
i have a set idk if its actually good but,
while you're farming for your dps, its best that you put martial artist on ur dps and sub dps (this is my opinion alright)
don't know if you played Summoners War, but artifacts are VERY similar to runes. End game, the best stats will be atk/crit dmg/atk with crit rate on all substats
yo kimmy I've watched how to gear your first team and it drastically increased my damange. i can now 1 hit monstes omfg
HTANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Those dungeons for the talent books do open at 25 demone. Ur correct about ar25 being ascension 2, world rank 2.
Thanks, especially when you mentioned that talents are upgradable.
So I've ascended my main character once, his atk is above 100 and enhanced my weapon to level 20 and its base damage is 119. But im only dealing damage between 50 and 70. What do I do?
DarkSword04 upgrade artifacts
100 is pretty low even for level 20 so try upgrading a little bit of damage. You also will get to a point very fast where if you don’t combine elemental abilities you won’t do jack shit.
Ok say I have a 5 star weapon but I have a 4 star that refined twice should I focus on my f star or not
Depends on what it gives but most likely 5 star is better
That's a lot of good information, thanks dude
Awesome video! thanks for making it
im new in genshin impact and your video helps me a lot! thank you! :)
I appreciate the content D!
love your content, has anyone ever told you that you look like bernard from westworld? xd
I like how I came here because Xiangling was doing like 40 damage but she has about 600 attack at AR27 not knowing if that was normal or not
You're not wrong tbh D I just found out I do more dps with higher crit chance as MC with the ps4 exclusive sword specifically on mc you get 66 bonus atk including the swords base stats so I just felt it would be better to have some crit cause my autos are still low asf with just normal atk BUT you're right it's just the sword provides me a wider area
It's kind of funny, but I put the Black Sword on my main character and because of that I've been building her for attack/crit rate already (the Black Sword procs when you score a crit hit). I'm currently AR 27 and have a Crit Rate of 47%. Crit damage is only 50%, but I'm still working with whatever purples I can get in random drops, so...
you posted this only a few minutes ago and already have one dislike... i swear some people get on just to dislike videos and leave lol. pretty useful this video was
I have a Keqing.
Can you tell me how to improve DAM?
If u have the flute sword it’s very effective
@@Stevenson_408 Is flute sword that good?
Stevenson Neou is it good
@@masterrahool4774 super good
@@digimontamer6954 OP with keqing.
This is why I am glad I played the cbt got too experience all of this and not make certain mistakes during open beta.
Atm at 1.9k atk on my Kequing and I'm just ripping mobs apart with Xianling overload reaction and super conduct from ice enemies.
“Interested in what I have to tell you?”
YES
“Good!”
I'm geared for future content. Jean has electro res set and Ningguang has is build and fires like a german tank!
My Beidou is level 30 doing about 150 - 200 per slash. When the enemy is burned and she does her counter, it's 1000+ damage.
I guess I'm doing something right I hope lol
This man is out here giving power to the ppl literally lol every video i watch i learn at least 3 things i wasnt paying attention to before
What’s the difference between Physical Damage and Normal Attack Damage?
How do you get legendary gladiator artifacts?
Thanks! I didn’t even know we can level up our talents
This mans channel growing crazy fast
nice, glad I have been constantly collecting books, just hit ar25, time to check these talents out
thx bro this video really helped alot
100k sub!!!!! Congratulations D
OMG, I srsly didnt know u could upgrade talents
Super Helpful video. Thanks
Where do you get the 5* gladiator artifacts?
the problem is we have no place to test new chars.
yesterday, another prayer bringed me three new haracter, but i don't know if they good because i cannot play them against mobs in a third level world without upgrade :c
I have Fischl, Mona, XiangLing, Chongyun and MC. What is the best team line up? And who will I make as my DPS?
Definitely needed this hit world lvl 3 and felt some lack
So here's a question, what's a better attack build? over all attack percentage or elemental? or maybe both, having a two piece with a three part build? Your cup has a Physical DMG bonus, so im wondering if that paired with more of that or the over all ATK %.
Very helpful! Thanks
Nice tips, good video. Thanks!! Subbed !
I'm kinda dumb okay so
What's the difference btw physical atk and atk dmg? I kinda get it but kinda don't get it.
Cheers and thanks for the videos!
thanks for the video. I now already know this, but reminders are important
What is the difference between an artifact with a set number of ATK and an artifact with a percentage ATK?
