  • The CutMyTimber owner and founder, Stefan Schneider, explains in this example how various steel and timber parts of a high-end custom home can be manufactured using the latest CAD/CAM and CNC technologies. All parts have been modeled up using 3D Fabrication Information Modeling (FIM) software. The parts have been digitally transferred to multiple robotic cutting machines. No shop drawings have been created to complete this multimillion dollar custom home. Tremendous cost, time and material savings is achieved using these integrated design and manufacturing processes.

    It's like this house was born with deformities and then got cancer ... although admittedly good for demonstration of many types of joinery.
