One Challenger 2 operating near Basra survived being hit by 70 RPGs in another incident. In August 2006 south east of al-Amarah, southern Iraq, an RPG-29 capable of firing a tandem-charge penetrated the frontal lower underbelly armour of a Challenger 2 commanded by Captain Thomas Williams of The Queens's Royal Hussars.

Depends where you are hit. In real life 1 RPG = you're done when the following happens:
-Your rear end is hit so the transmission and/or engine get destroyed.
-The gap between the turret and hull is hit, destroying the turret ring and dislodging the turret.
-The tracks are hit and suffer catastrophic damage.
-The side of the hull of the tank is hit twice on the same exact spot (ERA has to be detonated and then a second warhead hits thin side armor). RPG 29 is a tandem warhead, so only one is needed to penetrate the side.
-There are other area that would put a tank out of action. "You're done" is different in each case. In an M1A2, "You're done" usually = your tank is out of action, but the crew is alive.
You're not even close to done when the following happens:
-RPG hits the turret cheeks. No penetration, and the armor can withstand a couple more hits before failing. Hitting the exact same spot might result in a penetrating hit, with the odds of each successive hit penetrating increasing as more of the ceramic plates shatter and NERA elements being broken off and used up. No RPG operator will be able to hit the same exact spot, however, and so, surviving "70 RPG hits" is something that is realistic.
-RPG hits the side of the turret at an angle greater than 30 degrees from normal. The M1A2 has composite armor in the front and sides of the turret, although the sides are much less armored than the front. The sides still offer respectable protection against RPGs, and only an RPG 29 can reliably penetrate the side of the turret.
In most cases, an M1A2 is gonna engage targets from a range at which it can, but the enemy can not. Iraqi T72s, even when dug in, could not deal with the American M1s because of the difference in engagement range. The Iraqi T72s were of a lower quality than what you would see the Russians fielding at the time as they were either early variants (T72A) or they were a lower quality iraqi productions of the T72A. It was common for the M1s to fire at Iraqi T72s before the Iraqis could even effectively see the tanks. M1s fired modern APFSDS rounds at the time, which had no difficulty penetrating the low tech Iraqi produced armor, or the basic and outdated T72A armor.
If an M1 were to ever go in an urban environment, it would never go in unsupported. Americans play to the strengths of their units, and each unit could effectively cover another's weakness. Mechanized infantry would follow the M1 around to provide protection against enemy infantry while the M1 would deal with armoured threats. Air support reduces any ground fortifications to rubble.
1 RPG in most cases = you're not done. It's more likely for the RPG operator to miss. If they hit, it's much more likely for them to hit armor. If they dont hit armored parts, it's very likely whatever they did hit absorbed the hit, and got destroyed in the process, but the crew survived. If it did hit and penetrate into the crew compartment, it would usually wound, not kill, one or two crew members. If it did kill, it would only kill one or two crew members. The way the crew is seated, it is impossible for it to kill all with a single hit. Getting to the "if it hit, it'd kill" requires some insanely low outcomes to be achieved.
Lastly, the back of the turret is a spot that disables the tank but doesnt kill the crew. If you've seen videos of Iraqi M1s shooting flames 10 feet into the air, that's ammo cooking off. The ammo is shooting its flames up and out as there is a blow out panel above the ammo. There is a blast door between the ammo and the crew that protects them from ammo cooking off and cremating them inside the tank. The ammo has thin panels above it that would shoot up and out when the ammo cooks off to redirect the flames to the outside. The crew survive this sort of thing without a scratch, except maybe to their egos.

Depends where you are hit. Challenger 2 doesnt have much armor on the lower front plate (around 70mm of steel). An RPG 29 has more than ten times the penetration power needed to go through that. The upper front plate can provide more than 1000mm of protection against an RPG. the hit was just below where the two plates meet (as far as I know) so there wasn't much upper plate armor behind where the RPG hit the tank.
They really should add some of these things to GTA Online so we have something realistic and not flying bikes that can't be destroyed that also never miss

As always, great mods. But I'm having a problem with all of the tanks and APC/IFVs, whenever the vehicle touches any other object the tired to resets to the 0 degree position (straight forward) and it will not stop. Any ideas

It's an M4a3e8 or "easy eight" the Firely has a totally different hull shape and turret.
FRESH GAMER the Sherman firefly has the standard M4 turret (from the M4A1) with a 17 pounder gun, which was the largest gun the brits could,fit in the tank

so your wanting the pre T.ank U.rban S.urvival K.it (TUSK) M1A2 (this model should be the M1A2 TUSK SEP V2, the V3 comes out in 2017) but either way the game is in an urban area after all so makes sense for the TUSK package also the army is currently upgrading to the TUSK package as a whole (no clue what the marines intend to do with the old M1A1s)

Why the VT4? The VT4 is not an popular tank. The t72 or t14 would be cooler, maybe even the Challenger 2.
