I think the best solder wick I have used is the one that Alex from Northridge Fix sells, he doesn't reveal the brand but I think it might be chemtronics.
Are you saying you're going to be selling new cart connectors soon? have a few gamegears that badly need a new cart slot. Every time I try to find a parts board to harvest a slot from I end up with a console that just needs a recap so it just makes more sense to recap that thing instead of harvesting the cart slot off of it.
When do you expect your new cartridge connectors will be available? I have a really fickle one in one of my GGs. Have you ever repaired a cart connector? Is it doable?
Yes repaired many. Mainly using diamond file to clean and tweezers to bend out. New connector is a while away. Requires PCBs and a mould making so months. But it's coming
You mentioned deep cleaning in an ultrasonic cleaner, do you have any recommendations what solution to use? Mine doesn't recommend flammable liquids even though it's not heated, so I'm not sure if distilled water would suffice or something else
Crest Ultrasonic Cleaner with 103 ml Branson EC per every gallon of distilled water, then dump in a 99% alcohol bath and then dry off near a dehumidifier.
I love you videos; nice clear and precise on your process
Thanks

Sure am. It will be a smart cart too with debug features to detect working console and good game

Would love to know if retrosticks will work with this board. I got an SYF board and the components ready to roll.
Yep it will work. Just might need to secure it to board. I'll do video on it
@@RetroSix that would be great. Ill be starting the build soon. I’ll hold off on the install of the stick.
What I would like to know is are you going to make a replacement screen for the atari lynx?
Can do yes. Just need to decide which screen I do next
I will keep my fingers crossed that you decide to do the atari lynx next 👍😉
just an idea I'm going to throw in, I am sure you already thought about, Luke. Sega Nomad!
I might....
can you connect a lcd screen with ali express china board to that game gear board???
Sure
Are you gonna install your thumbstick on the new board??
Yeah I can do
@@RetroSix cause we have no idea if it can even install on this board
Yep they can be installed on this board no problem. Might just need securing down to board if pads are in different positions is all
@@RetroSix yeah, I really wanna see how that's done cause I ordered this board and don't wanna lose my thumbstick
Would love to know your temp on that fr-301

@@RetroSix thanks
Hello!!! Anybody knows where I can buy ceramic condensators for my game gear??? Thx!!!

I took it off with braid and hot air, u need more practice
It can be taken off 50 different ways. No practice needed just a choice of method
Wish I could find a nicely priced single Asic 🥲 but this is definitely the route I'ma go!
