    In this video, I tear down a defunct Robosapien V2, talk about why/how it broke (hint: MAJOR manufacturing defect), and go over the anatomy of the robot looking at the different parts that made it tick.
    Stay tuned for part 2, where I go into more detail on the parts and inner workings of the Robosapien V2 robot...

    Thanks for making this video! i’m actually a collector of these types of toys and never got a chance to see the inside of the head nor the mechanism for the fingers, funny story when i first got one it started smoking and shorting out, i would love to see what you did with the parts, maybe a part 2?

    • @CircuitCrush
      @CircuitCrush  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It probably shorted because the insulation on the wiring cracks off after a few years. Maybe I will do a part 2 ;-)

    For sure I was curious about how these things worked. Seems a lot of these are more flashy outside than in. It's like a really updated Omnibot

    I would still fix him he is worth alot and is worth working on you will need new plastic for it and it should be easy to rewire

    Back in the day these were made, micro controllers were really expensive, companies would just use a diy in house microcontroller covered with black gunk. Today, you can find real micro controllers in lots of toys. If they made these today, they would have been way better designed.

    Hello, do you know if there is a way to change the type of batteries you use in your feet? since it takes 10 batteries type D

    • @CircuitCrush
      @CircuitCrush  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the weight of the batteries gives it stability and also D batteries are better for higher current demand applications than C or AA batteries

      You should try to fix it, may be a fun hack or project. I'd start by looking at the insulation on the wires LOL

    I still have mine and I want to do some troubleshooting before I open it up to figure out why it is not working. I would like to connect it to a DC adaptor so that I don't need to worry about the batteries, do you guys have any idea how to determine how many amps/volts this thing would need to switch on?

    • @CircuitCrush
      @CircuitCrush  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just take a look at the batteries it would take and you can get a good idea. Probably faulty insulation like mine lol

    bro what should i do when i star it stuck half way from waking up it was full of dust i didnt clean the circuit board in the inside is this beacause for the dst in inside if so then what should i clean it with the circuit board i meant

    • @CircuitCrush
      @CircuitCrush  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but you can blow the dust off with canned air or perhaps yours has the same issue mine did and it shorted. This is really a cheap, China made toy, so I'm not surprised the insulation on the wires would fall off.

    1st and 2nd gens have that wiring issue and the 3rd gen white or the pearl whites dont yellow but the really early models will get really brittle due to the plastic they used, still a fun robot but not made the best
