    Hello, I'm the Dumbledore/Voldemort tattoo guy. Thanks for the reaction! I take what you've said to heart and will keep you updated on the progress. Keep up the awesome videos and I do have 1 question. We're thinking of adding little hints of colors (in characters eyes) did you have to do anything special for the red in yours or just pound it in a few times?

    • @EphemeralRemy
      @EphemeralRemy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nothing special, and no need for more than one pass. Second passes will increase brightness but it shows clearly on one

    I have not tried that yet, but WOW my fingers do that on the first joint after the knuckle xD had my hand done twice, and both times it went nuts.. like after a week or so, then it's fully gone, and I can suddenly bend my fingers again.. it feels very odd.. so I guess its the same for the elbow xD

  • @joeb6645

    I have some thick tribal on my elbows. Lots of black...done 3 times and they ridiculously swell every time

    Remy, can you please explain this thing about mixing white and black inks for better contrasts and appearance of final look of tattoo? Is it about tattooing dark spots/shades with black on black, or you were talking about mixing colours on needle/in a cap?
    Also, are there any videos of you or someone else explaining the concept of white on black, tattoos on blackout? Approximately in the gap of 1 year of me in tattoo exploring, being in theme, I came up to a concept of "whitewash", until ater 1 more year I accidentaly found your chanel (around month ago) and understood that it already exists certainly developed form. Does it work with magnums, or better using shaders? Certain inks? And how it depends on quantity of sessions?

    • @EphemeralRemy
      @EphemeralRemy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I explain it and how it works every single week on my vlogs actually, and what I mean by black is exactly what I said, darken the background details and lighten the foreground. Simply doing white on its own is not enough, using a different black( panthera over top of dynamic) creates a tone of difference which is how you do black on black, then add white for a second tone of difference, and leave some of the old back for another tone, that gets you three distinct tones, and if you want you can add silver in as a fourth tone, which is what we’ve done with my suit.

      @@EphemeralRemy thank you, then I'm going to explore your videos since the very beginning 🙂 May I ask you questions somewhere after all researches, in instagram maybe?

      @@EphemeralRemy also, have you tried adding drops of chromatic colours in white caps, adding little amount of hue like that? Does it work and affect somehow? That was one of interesting things when I came up to idea of creating something more than ornamental designs on black, things to experiment on

    • @EphemeralRemy
      @EphemeralRemy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure, but in my TH-cam vlogs from the last few years I think I’ve just about covered everything as I’ve learned it, and the last six months I’ve really peen putting it together rapidly

      My artist has used several different tones of silver to color and add to the white to create different textures yes

    Swelbow... I hated it, first time I had to put a pillow under it for a few days. Couldnt deal with anything touching it, healed like shit and knew right away a second round was needed. Next round was better, just bending the arm instead of stretching (if that makes sense) the skin did wonders. My artist doesnt do heavy blackwork often, so can confirm that artists sometimes need to try shit and for next time he knows this lol.

    • @EphemeralRemy
      @EphemeralRemy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep there’s not many opportunities to “learn” these things, and almost impossible to get right the first time, so to some degree you end up being the guinea pig haha

  • @jaydee6440

    Elbows = Hellbows...... Had both of mine done twice, needed two passes to get it in, that was 15 years ago, still as good today, I hate it when folks have sleeves but leave the elbows clean, almost as offensive as not tattooing the nipple on a full torso piece!

    My wrist has a small solid black bear and it swelled up gnarly big, it looked like a golf ball was under my skin. My foot has been the worst for me so far, finger was pretty bad, sternum wasn’t bad and I have about 11 passes on my sternum to get the red and green to stay.

    • @EphemeralRemy
      @EphemeralRemy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sternum is pretty easy for me honestly, of the bunch you mentioned I’d say finger tattoos weren’t bad, but finger blackouts are pretty top tier for pain
