Marty Watkins, When I was 9-10 yrs old my Grandpa Billy gave me a shoebox FILLED with artifacts. He plowed fields walking behind horses. I made the mistake of keeping them in a shed we had. They came up missing after showing them to neighbor kids.
Congrats on your trip and success! Now your in My area! I grew up and lived for 50 years in Dallas County, just to the south of Chilton. 95 % of the points I have found are quartz. They do lack some of the intricate details of the points where you live, but fun to watch yall hunt my old stompin' grounds!
Thanks. It was a great trip in a beautiful location. We were thrilled with our finds and plan at least one trip back this summer but maybe more. Stay tuned!
I never realized just how beautiful, quartz arrowheads were! Seeing one held up against the sky, must look like it did so long ago, when its creator was admiring his handiwork.
Now those are the type of arrowheads I understand. I had the pleasure of finding dozens of exactly that type (quartz and even ugly little jokers exactly like Kenneth found) on my late grandparent's land in Northeastern Georgia years ago. My grandpa even found a beautiful quartz geode at one time. Don't know what happened to it after he died.
This is probably going to be my favorite video of Y'all's. Awesome job tear'n it up in a big sea of gravel. Even Kenneth got him a taste and in the tougher spot to look. I never understand why people even give a thumbs down, I watch a wide range of videos on here and if I don't like em I just move on. That flake knife Randy found is probably really old, Paleo... Great hunting Fellas
Thanks Mike. We sure thought about you a lot while we were out there. I damn near went cross eyed looking at gravel. We can't wait to get back up there but it'll be a while because of the distance. I'm like you never give a thumbs down if I don't like it I just move on like you said. To each his own though. I really wish they would leave some constructive criticism though lol. Randy has been kicking himself for not digging around more where he found the square knife. Part of the break seems to be very fresh. We figured it to be very old too. Thanks again for your input Mike and good luck to you up there in the big MO.
We didn't really realize we were that close until the end of the first day. We would have invited you to hunt with us but we were invited ourselves. GL&HH my friend.
Those are some beautiful artifacts and just imagine how many are in the second layer of rocks. Every hard rain that raises the creek level turns up new ones to be found. Keep up the adventures.
Thanks Mark! We have talked about that. There is no telling how many artifacts are scattered down inside those rock bars. In some spots they are as deep as 4'. The lady that owns the property looks regularly and has found a lot of great stuff!
I have been watching your videos for a while on google search and just learned how to do this. I feel like I know you guys and would like to contact yall if you would email me how. thanks Tim
Sweet finds, killer vid as usual Spike!! I’m with Mike, if I don’t like a vid, I’ve never given a thumbs down. Just got into Ohio near Flint Ridge for the big knap-in after 11 hours drivin. Gonna be one killer day tomorrow, can’t wait!!!
Thank you sir. Yeah I never understood that thumbs down thing anyway. Yall have fun at the knap-in and tell everyone that Heartbreaker Relics said hello.
If any of your friends of followers know of a place around lucas co. Toledo Ohio erea I could really use the help...I know of places miles away but looking for something closer to toledo...
@@HeartbreakerRelics ok...thank you...I'm still researching, but there is not alot of maps or information dating back to the pre lucas co./Toledo incorporation...you know what I mean...maybe one day we can talk on the phone where I can better explain it...lol...tale my friend....
Hi Spike and Randy, Recently found my first points, need help with identifying. They don’t look like the guidebooks pictures. Do you have an email address I can write to and confirm what tradition they could be? Diamondhead, Ms
The quality of the video is outstanding. It's such a joy watching y'all find the artifacts. Music production is also great. Question though,, why are they called bird points? Thanks so much and keep 'em coming!!
Thanks for the great comment. We appreciate the compliment. They are mistakenly call bird points because of their size. At one time people assumed they were used to hunt birds and small game so the term stuck. Today we know they are true arrow points.
MAN OH MAN!!!!! Simply awesome guys!!!! That’s one heck of a haul for creek walking/hunting right there!!! I’m sitting here thinking to myself how I would go so cross eyed looking in all those rocks!! Lol!! Y’all had your arrowhead spotting goggles on cause y’all sure found some good ones brother!!! Huge congrats on some great hunts and first time smokers!!!! You boys killed it!!!
Thanks Mike. I gotta tell you, I was never more surprised in my life than when I found the first one. I was thinking "there is no way I'm going to see one in all these rocks", then BAM! There has got to be points on the rock bars in yall's creek. That is why I was so keen for yall to see this video. Thanks again and good luck and happy hunting buddy.

Remember you are looking for artifacts that are thousands of years old. Put yourself back in that time period. Where would you want to live?
Great vid excellent cinematography and explantation of the lay of the land.. sweet quartz all around
Thanks. We had a blast doing this one but then we do on all of them. GL&HH

I don't rightly know how to respond to this comment. I'm not use to dealing with so much arrogance.

Thanks. As always we appreciate the honest input. This was a fun hunt but then again they all are. Thanks again.
