I am sorry but that Danny guy is atrocious. He always makes comments to hedge against the obvious. Is Cannon slow walking the case; absolutely. Should RUMP be prosecuted; absolutey. There is no ambiguity Danny boy. The case is pretty straight forward. Cannon could easily do her job and still get the case started well after the election. She has willfully and deliberately tried to waylay the case in any way she can short of an actual ruling. She is playing a game of cat and mouse with the prosecution. Federal judges can only be removed through impeachment by the House of Representatives and conviction in the Senate. Federal Judges and justices serve no fixed term. They serve until their death, retirement, or conviction by the Senate. Therefore impeachment would require bipartisanship which is unlikely to happen because of the ReTrumpliCon cult presence in Congress that already exists.

Prima facie, there's a reasonable conflict of interest if someone must preside over the criminal trial of the person who gave she/he an enormous career/status improvement: a lifetime appointment as judge. Plus this is the judge that already has been struck down twice by the 11th Court of Appeals, on this very same matters, with a scathing decision stating that she abused her discretion. All the abuses, of course, to the absolute benefit of Trump: the 'Special Master' ruse & the barefaced pretention that she could stop an ongoing DOJ investigation involving national security. No less.
All that screams pro-Trump partiality. Loud, barefaced pro-Trump partiality. And all that, without considering what she has done in *this* case (e.g. her deceitful-ridiculous 'jury instructions' proposal). Those things are not conspiracies.

There are two issues here with Cannon. One is that she has the unenviable distinction of being the first judge ever to handle a case of this precedent and enormity, so no one can say that another judge might have handled this case any better, as far as the huge volume of documents she has to deal with and the endless evidential hearings and motions. The other issue is that Cannon has bent over backwards for Dump, accommodating him at almost every level with his delay requests, despite being chastised by the Circuit Court of Appeals. It doesn't win her much sympathy.

Regarding Allen Weisselberg never taking the stand: the defense could have called him. The prosecution couldn't have kept him out, but then the defense would have had another witness as bad as Robert Costello, or worse. Weisselberg is sitting in prison for perjury. Prosecutors would have torn him apart.

The criticism of Cannon is not only over speed, that is a complete mischaracterization. If Cevallos hasn't been following the case, he should not be on screen talking about it. For a start, she, for no legal reason, intervened in the investigation leading up to this case. That is unprecedented and brazen. She appointed a special master in bad faith, demonstrating bias and naked partisanship. Her failure to recuse herself from the trial is, therefore, utterly outrageous and creates the appearance of impropriety. The FACT of impropriety has been shown, beyond reasonable doubt, by her subsequent conduct Failing to make even basic decisions for months, then making terrible ones, things a first year law student would get right, she has then taken months to walk them back - that's not incompetence, carefulness or "slowness", it is deliberate, malicious delay.
