    Spring is in full swing! Which also means the lawn season is up and running full speed ahead as well. For this video, Paul will show you how to another one of the N-Ext products you will get one you buy the Bio-Stimulant pack, 0-0-2 MicroGreene™ Fertilizer. He will also touch on how it can be used for plants, shrubs, and ornamentals.
    0-0-2 MicroGreene™ Fertilizer is engineered for two purposes: 1) Micronutrient product to add to a lawn & landscape fertility program when micronutrient deficiencies are present or soil remediation is required; 2) Complete product for turfgrass application during fertilizer ordinance “blackout” periods where local regulations prohibit the application of Nitrogen and Phosphorous fertilizers. 0-0-2 is formulated for soil fertility and plant health. The 0-0-2 MicroGreene™ product will stimulate roots and the soil activity necessary to significantly deepen the topsoil layer under the lawn, which will have a profound impact on plant health, soil fertility and water holding capacity.

    Are the recommendations below correct in a pump sprayer (assuming 7:1) dilution rate?
    1) Air 8 - water in
    1/4 - 1/2 inch
    2) Humic 12 - water in
    1/4 - 1/2 inch
    3) RGS - water in
    1/4 - 1/2 inch
    4) MicroGreen - does not need to be watered in if used by itself

I'm about a month in on my heavy overseed, already put down my second dose of fert with the 9-0-1 green start, and curious if a dose of microgreene would be good for the new grass.

    Has anyone else had trouble using micro green with the hose end sprayer? I can’t get any product to emit but it worked fine with all of the other products air-8, rgs, d-thatch and humic 12.

    • @NExtDIYLawn
      @NExtDIYLawn  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Scott! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment/question! That is a great question. MicroGreene is a product that has a lot of goodies(particulate) in it. If you don't shake it well for those particulates to go into solution, that can give you some headache. The other thing you should make sure to do is pull the screen completely off the hose of that sprayer. It will restrict the flow. If those particulates do not go into solution, even after shaking, and you did not pull that screen off, it will clog it for sure. Please let us know if you have anymore questions. We are always happy to help.

      Scootdawg I use all these Bio Products in a backpack battery sprayer, much easier than dragging a hose over the entire yard. Never had a problem. Maybe a really small yard I can seen using a hose in sprayer

    • @NExtDIYLawn
      @NExtDIYLawn  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! I have considered that. With the hose end sprayer, I can get more down in less time because of the ratio, water to product. More water is better. If you use a back pack sprayer, we recommend watering the product in for about 10 to 15 minutes. You can typically get a good water to product ration from the hose end sprayer. - Castleberry

    • @juliocs5483
      @juliocs5483 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With hose end you usually are applying more water but honestly you can't go wrong spraying the NEXT products ...I do it because you cover large area faster and I don't water in after using a hose end sprayer.

    Hey Paul first and foremost thanks for all your content it has been very helpful! was wondering if you know by chance how many gallons of water per minute would be enough to not have to "water in these products" when using a walk behind sprayer or ride on spayer? with larger size properties and no irrigation, watering in the application isn't practical..especially when mother nature is not providing...I was just not wanting to waste time and money on these products with a 1 gpm walk behind sprayer with a 20 to 1 dilution rate if its really not going to be beneficial unless i do additional watering after these applications. dragging a hose around a 1.5 acre property with a ortho hose end sprayer isnt practical either..any information would be greatly appreciated! thanks

      @@NExtDIYLawn I used one last week with my first ever app of your stuff, and then I thought I was stupid for not just using the markers on the sprayer. However, it is easier to pour into the cup rather than the smaller hole in the sprayer. It would be nice if your bottles had smaller holes at the top, perhaps with a bit of a spout. This stuff pours fast and furious.

    I'm going to use the Micro Green with hose end sprayer Chameleon. Lawn is 5,000sq feet. Label says to use 10oz per 1000 sq feet with 7:1 dilution of water. So in my sprayer, I should do 50oz of product with 350oz of water. Is that correct?
    Or 7oz of product and 1 oz water? so 7.14oz water?
    I didn't see you add the water into your sprayer, maybe I missed that part? Or only add water when using pump sprayer (which i'm not doing).
    Trying to figure out if it uses the 20:1 dilution. 20oz per 1oz of product?The instructions on the sprayer say it's 1 gallon of water per chemical. Do you think it's referring to per chemical as in oz? Also you stated you were doing 3oz but set your dial to 2oz in the video?

    • @NExtDIYLawn
      @NExtDIYLawn  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Ortho and Chameleon can only do 32 oz at a time. That's all it has room for in the cup. The 7:1 dilution means 7 oz of water for every 1 oz of product. Also with these hose end sprayers, they put out enough water that you dont really have to worry about the dilution rate. That being said, it never hurts to water in the application. More water is better for our products. The dial setting does not equate to how many ounces are in the cup. It just means the higher the setting the faster it will empty the cup. For example, in the Ortho Dial n Spray, a setting of 3 oz will pump out 6 oz over 1,000 square feet in about a minute. Make sense? Hope that helps. - Castleberry

    I’m new to this. Do I pour in 3oz of Microgreene into the Ortho hose end and then pour in 7 oz of water to dilute the concentrate to cover 1,000 sq ft? Or, do I pour in 3oz of full concentrate without diluting and cover 1,000 sq ft? Or, does either option work? Thx.

    • @NExtDIYLawn
      @NExtDIYLawn  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      either works, but the mah is 3 ounces of concentrate per thousand.

    Castleberry! Killer stuff bro! I'm gonna use the MicroGreene in conjunction with GreeneEfFect this year...JTLK's "double dark" app. I'm keen to see the pop I get.
    Up in Maine, I'm not starting for another 2 weeks. Soil temps won't get to 50 until the start of May.

    In the tree and shrub apps...it doesn’t make a bit of sense to measure by 1000 sq ft. Same as the labels.....need a guidance on per square inch or something that actually relates to trees not lawn. I did a flora green and micro last year on my Rees as a foliar app and it put A white haze all over my leaves and then they looked burnt. Followed that per “1000” and obviously it was a disaster
