Thank you. I understand you. I will install it on the atomos EL zone. What kind of lamps do you use for the key light source and for the backlight? Are these Asters?
Considering that you want to shoot a moody scene with low light and will need to overexpose the image, how do you handle the EL Zone? Is there a way to use the Cine EI indices to shift the exposure, ensuring that when lowering it in post, everything looks good and noise-free?
Whether moody or bright, I think it’s super helpful since you can plug in which camera and log profile you are shooting on to make sure you get proper exposure. It’s especially helpful with the skin tones. You can always combine Cine EI and EL zone if you want, but I think just using EL zone is more than enough.
Thanks for watching!! Let me know if you have any questions!🤙🏼
Is there any setup file for it? Is there any software we have to install it on monitor from computer? Or it is already inside of monitor?
Sigma fp camera had that built in so you can use any monitor 🙌👍🏻
Why would you use this version of false color on the log footage and not with lut already?
This can only be used with log footage but you can turn the LUT back on the monitor when done looking at EL Zone
Great video man! Just picked up an Indie 5.
Can you do a full review of your SmallHD setup? Preferences and settings you like.
Thanks so much! I can for sure. Although I keep it pretty simple with only using focus peaking, a LUT, and EL Zone 🤙🏼

If you had an 18% gray card in the frame, is the idea that it should fall in that gray zone of the el scale for correct exposure?
Right in the middle, yes!

Should be good to go right out of the box. The only thing you’ll have to do is update the firmware, but that’s easy.
