I really think her dance line is unmatched. Her versatility is through the roof and her execution every single time is needless to say incredible. I don't know how else to describe it. All due respect to other main dancers out there but I've never seen other idols delve into so many different genres and categories of dancing and kill it like her. A+ in my book.

Agreed. Seventeen is one of the top, if not THE top group when it comes to performance and choreography. Their intricacy, technique, synchronisation, blocking etc are all top notch. Their dance practice for Fallin’ Flower might be something you want to check out. However, it doesn’t really show it from an aerial view. For aerial view, I think their TMA 2020 performance of Fallin’ Flower or even their MV, might be able to showcase it better. When it comes to dancing chungha is more than a perfectionist. And never underestimate her voice cause she can do ballads and have a soft voice and also a strong voice at the same time. Her visuals and facials are no joke as well. She is an all well rounded artist a rare gem. Love her

I think a really underrated detail is that in the outro when the backup dancers do the death drop/slide move and Chung Ha’s walking forward, each wave of backup dancers stands up on-beat in a very clean sequence. 21:29

My favorite thing about her in this video is the combination of her precision and control. You pointed out all the crazy shapes in the choreo, and it’s amazing how literally every time you paused, the picture she made was perfect. And her textures are so controlled, soft but strong, and even the little details of her finger and hand shapes as she traced her face are just *chefs kiss* I feel like if I tried to do this choreo, it’d just look like I was marking it 😂
I would love to see a reaction to Lucifer by SHINee. This dance practice made dance practices even a thing in Korea. Also Criminal, move and Idea by Taemin(from SHINee and SuperM). He, jimin from bts and Kai from Exo are mostly seen as the best dancers in kpop
You should definitely check out Rían. She is the one who did the choreography to this. She’s done a couple of choreos for Chungha. Rían also worked with another Choreographer who helped with the voguing!
The choreographers took the inspiration for the beginning part of the choreo from a dress, hence the dancers are on the floor surrounding Chungha with their hands on her waist. Very creative and beautiful I think. I know this from watching one of the choreographer's vlog about the making of the routine (Dancer Rian is her channel's name if you want to check it out!)

Thank you for your reaction. Really appreciate how you viewed it thrice, with the rehearsal and performance analysis. If I may recommend a group, I think Seventeen might be one you would be interested in. They are most likely the top group in Kpop in terms of synchronisation and musicality. The members themselves participate heavily in the production of their music (at *least* 90% of their discography have a member of theirs as the main producer), and in the production of their choreography (either by themselves or with other choreographers). I would recommend Getting Closer for one that is more “dance-crew like”, HIT for a cardio workout, Fallin Flower for imagery, Crazy in Love for simplicity and Snap Shoot for musical theatre vibes. However, any of their works are gold in my opinion.
Female idol wise, Dreamcatcher, GFriend, Loona and Itzy have a ton of neat and well executed choreos to offer if you're interested on checking more from the ladies side of KPop.

We need some Seventeen reactions. They are THE go to group for choreos and performances. The recently released choreography video for "24H" could be a good one to start with. "Don't Wanna Cry", "Getting Closer", "Thanks", "Home" are others, but they have a lot of amazing choreos. "Fallin Flower" is one that has a lot of amazing formations for aerial views, but the dance practice doesn't show up by searching, for some reason. You have to go directly to their japanese youtube channel and scroll down a bit
This breakdown really had me appreciating the backup dancers like I knew Chungha always works with the best but damn... Also, I Like That by SISTAR would be a cool video to breakdown I think!

Thank you for your reaction. Really appreciate how you viewed it thrice, with the rehearsal and performance analysis. If I may recommend a group, I think Seventeen might be one you would be interested in. They are most likely the top group in Kpop in terms of synchronisation and musicality.
The members themselves participate heavily in the production of their music (at *least* 90% of their discography have a member of theirs as the main producer), and in the production of their choreography (either by themselves or with other choreographers). I would recommend Getting Closer for one that is more “dance-crew like”, HIT for a cardio workout, Fallin Flower for imagery, Crazy in Love for simplicity and Snap Shoot for musical theatre vibes. However, any of their works are gold in my opinion.

Female idol wise, Dreamcatcher, GFriend, Loona and Itzy have a ton of neat and well executed choreos to offer if you're interested on checking more from the ladies side of KPop.

We need some Seventeen reactions. They are THE go to group for choreos and performances. The recently released choreography video for "24H" could be a good one to start with. "Don't Wanna Cry", "Getting Closer", "Thanks", "Home" are others, but they have a lot of amazing choreos. "Fallin Flower" is one that has a lot of amazing formations for aerial views, but the dance practice doesn't show up by searching, for some reason. You have to go directly to their japanese youtube channel and scroll down a bit

If you wanna see a really good dance, you should check out Loona’s butterfly. It’s one of the best girl group choreography. The dance is GORGEOUS and the synchronization is ON POINT!

the analysis was so great. going frame by frame reveals so many tiny details i'd previously overlooked.
when we're looking at a performance as tight as this, part 2 is more of an opportunity to appreciate each piece of the puzzle rather than looking from a directors pov on how to tighten the performance up for the stage (although i have a lot of fun watching that pov too!!)
