Just learning about Islam & hoping as the first step to take my shahada and one day wear the hijab which I can’t wait to do, have already bought one as I was so excited to see what I will look like with it and I feel like the idea of publicly showing my devotion to god is so beautiful! Even now that I know the meaning behind it I am starting to dress a bit more modestly. Also Thankyou for the videos because as someone who doesn’t know any Muslims these are so motivational and helpful to me in my journey!💖

I come from a Christian family who mirrored your Muslim family very much in the way that my brother and I were given the opportunity to explore our faith on our own terms. Because of this, I feel a deeper, and much more personal connection to my faith and God than if I had been raised to a life of rules and pre-determined beliefs. So glad that you had the space and freedom to come into your faith in a way that was organic and supportive. I’ve loved your videos and feel your children are blessed to have you and Will as guides and role models of how to find their own faith.

You are a beautiful, confident woman. Your confidence adds to your beauty. I am a Catholic woman, and I am not perfect. The fact that I go to mass is saying I am not perfect and I need God's guidance. I came upon your videos by chance and subscribed to learn about your faith and traditions. I believe you can't judge anyone unless you've walked in their shoes. I don't judge, I educate myself about what I don't know, and find, more often than not, we have more in common than what you see at first glance.

Not imitating anyone or dedicating so much time to keep up with fashion and beauty . There was a time in my life, where I got so into that I started feeling like I was turning into Michael. And truth is all I had done was dye my hair and get my brows done. But I did it for the wrong reasons: to feel like I was good enough by being like everybody else. Now I am about to dye my hair soon for me! :D And people are surprised at how confident I am. And it's real. Just me being me and feeling myself because of it. :D

I am Christian too. I recommend you read Romans 14. That chapter is about two groups of Christians, one group believes they should not eat meat, and the other group believes it is ok to eat meat. The apostle Paul says they should follow what they believe, and should not judge each other or try to convince the others to do like them. This principle applies to covering your hair. If you believe you should cover your hair, do it. And don’t be intimidated by people who criticize your clothes or veil! You honor the Lord when you follow your conscience and what you understand. Don’t worry about pleasing people.

So my sister sent me this video of yours because I’m starting my hijab journey again! I said again because when we first moved to states I used to wear it because my parents told me I had to wear it and I was only 12 at the time. As I gre up and by the time I started college I stopped wearing it. Past few years I have been on this “journey” I guess you can say of discovering myself and my connection to my deem and have been pulled towards wearing hijab and past few weeks I have started wearing it when I go out. By no means I’m perfect still struggling but I’m trying! So it’s reassuring to see your story! Thank you for sharing it! Any hijabs in particular you recommend?

Thank you so much for this video. I'm not Muslim, but I am Maori (native new Zealander), and while we don't have any specific clothing restrictions or anything, we do have something similar in the symbolic sense. The way you felt about beginning to wear the hijab, nervous, afraid of being judged etc, I feel that way now about getting a moko kauae, which is a traditional tattoo on the women's chin. I'm so scared of being judged and having people say I'm not brown enough or that I'm not even Maori, I'm afraid of other Maori saying I haven't earned it or don't deserve to wear it because of this or that (particularly because I can't speak our language yet -thanks colonisation), and on the other hand I'm afraid of giving up my white privilege and all the things that could come with that, particularly if I get pulled over or have to interact with the police. I'm honestly terrified. but I really really really want it and I want that symbolic thing that announces "I AM MAORI AND I AM HERE" everywhere I go and I don't want to feel ashamed or afraid of that.
I think I'll try the baby steps method like you suggested, by wearing black lipstick and drawing a moko kauae on with eyeliner and wearing that for the day sometimes and see how I feel

Im 16 and I started wearing hijab last year in quarantine. My whole family was wearing hijab but at that time I wasn’t really felling like it was the time and thank god my family didn’t force me to do so. So like u I was getting asked a lot of questions in school bevor the whole pandemic thing and I really started to question myself and started watching TH-cam videos and doing research and asking my mom about all the questions I’ve never thought of bevor. And then I had this felling of wanting to wear it. Because I didn’t want to regret it. You never know what happens in life and If you want to do something don’t wait for it 👌🏻🤩🤩❤️

Hi saleh family ! I am from Iran 🇮🇷 .
Unfortunately In our country girls are forced to have hijab and they have no freedom to chose their outfit cause our police would arrest them if they don't wear scarf or as long as they wear short Mantua or pants
I think it makes bad impression of Islam for other persons like Christians or.....
Hijab is beautiful and not bad at all as long as it's not forced !
We , muslims really need Some influencers like you to show Islam is not da'esh or whatever....
I'm really glad to see you trying to change people bad impression of Islam

I just stumbled across your channel this morning. This topic interests me so much because of you and others like you brave enough to wear it. As a Christian, most Christians today don't even know that our faith calls women to cover their head too. It took me about 2 years to finally be confident enough to cover after realizing the truth in what the Bible says and feeling the conviction to do so. Since i have, the blessing in this obedience has been overwhelming and my relationship through Christ has been deeply strengthened. It definitely takes a certain amount of bravery to cover in front of those who don't, no matter the religion. We are called to be set apart from the world. We shouldn't look like the world.

    Mashallah
    This helped me very much
    Jazakiallah Khairan
May Allah keep you and your family steadfast on deen,
I am 14 years old, recently in the lockdown, I just started taking Islam seriously and started practicing it, Alhamdulillah
I want to wear hijab but my parents don't agree
I live in India, i live in Hindu society only three muslim families are there (including mine) and no one here wears a hijab
I want to wear it, but my parents say what people are going to say
I had a very big discussion on this topic atleast a 3/4 hours and but still they didn't allowed me
Now I had made a plan that I would wear loose clothes, as I live in India, kurtas are the most modest clothes that I have, so I wear them, and now I am searching solutions for all the problems they tell me that I will have to face after wearing it
And Alhamdulillah I have got many solutions but not told them cause I wanna tell them only when I am fully prepared to answer them
Inshaallah i will get others too
And I have started giving dawah to my non muslim and muslim friends (i am the only one who has taken the religion seriously)
And inshaallah after I get the solutions I will give my family too
Because I have tried before but they had tried to take my phone (because it is the only source from which I learn about deen)
I don't want to go astray
As you said I am taking small baby steps from last month
Insha'allah I will soon wear it and hope that I inspire other muslim to wear hijab and to take deen seriously

I know this is an old video. And I’m not sure if you’ll see this- but thank you.
I had a similar journey with a kippah/yarmulke. I’m Jewish and a lot of Jewish people don’t wear it unless they’re Orthodox.
But I decided one day that I wanted to be recognized as a Jew. It wasn’t anything to be ashamed about.
So thank you for putting into words the same thought process. Though Islam is different than Judaism, I see many parallels. And though the head coverings are different and have different meanings, they are signs of our faith and devotion. So thank you ♥️

I just recently came across the Salehs, and I love them! I would say ditto on everything about the Islam/Muslim lifestyle and hijab 🙏. I am a Malaysian Muslim Malay, and I only started wearing hijab when I was 42! Before that I did have some pressure from my in-laws as the ladies all wore hijab. With The Almighty's grace and blessing I came to wear hijab on my own inclination and love, and it all happened very smoothly and joyfully for me. I was 42, my eldest son was 12 then, now I am 53, and my eldest son will be 23 in November, my 2nd son turned 18 in April and my 3rd and youngest son will be 17 in August, Alhamdulillah, InsyaaAllah. It's true that there is no compulsion to wear hijab, my sister and sister-in-law don't wear hijab, but they do wear on certain occasions for respect of those occasions. I still wear jeggings 😆, but with long and loose tops, and I now enjoy wearing long and loose kaftans that I design and make myself, like in my current profile photo 🥰. I too am more in touch with Islam and myself, and enjoying every moment of guiding my 3 sons along the path of Islam, and The Almighty has blessed me with true happiness, syukur Alhamdulillah 🥰. Thank you dear Salehs, for sincerely and genuinely sharing with us your life and experiences, as well as info and knowledge about Islam, you are a beautiful family, happy and joyful, and I pray The Almighty continues to bless you all with great love and abundance, aamiin ❤️🌹

I'm a revert who went from ordinary clothes to nicab (meaning I cover everything including my face) in maybe one (?) or a few months. It was the best decision ever, I love dressing modesty and I feel great like this. Honestly I don't want anyone (besides my husband) to even see my eyes, alhamdullilah for sunglasses making that possible. Inshallah my family will respect my decision in the future, they have a heart time even with "just" the hijab itself and loose fitted clothing... Anyway, it's Allah SWT's opinion that matters in the end and not theirs, and to some extent, our own ❤️

I am converted now for 10 years to islam. And are but I am only a "good" muslima in winter. I can't in summer. It's to hot. I wear my hijab in the beginning, but I can't in summer. In summer I can't stand to much cloths. I die of heat. And plus I am in my menopause so I have heath flairs and then I have to rip of my cloths... can't stand them... lol.
I try though... in winter... lol
I love it though I think it is so beautiful...
I never thought of what other people think of me. But these summers... nope...
Sometimes when I pray I have to stop because I am soaking wet.
I wear my scarf like on the picture. My husband say that it is something between allah swt and myself. Nobody have to judge me are tell me what I have to do. I see also young people wearing hijab but wearing small pants so you see there butcheaks wiggling... I always smile when I see that. I have also problems with people that wear hijab and wearing tons of makeup. That's not right either. I think... anyhow. I respect people that wearing hijab. But for me... in summer I can't. In winter in am always covered... and my husband doesn't mind. It's my decision to make, not his. He is proud with everything I do. When I wearing a short dress in summer or wearing all covered up... he is proud that I am a muslima and live the islam way. Which is for me living a good way. Taking care of people in need, always being kind and friendly... etc. Showing a good example. Congratulations on wearing the hijab... and I think of being a born muslima it's easier then being converted. But hey, perhaps when I am 80 I wear one... insha allah...
