That’s the best thing about staying at POP Century, you can easily *pop* over via skyliner to the Riviera to eat! Also, I’m thinking that pasta you liked was possibly freshly made upstairs at Topolino’s. 😋 Great video! Thanks!
The main reason for strict security is due to limited parking at the Riviera. We own DVC at the Riviera and finding a parking space can be very difficult when we are staying there. It's to the point where we won't drive anywhere else on property at night, since we may not have a parking space when we get back to the resort. The secondary problem would be the people trying to game the skyliner transportation by parking there if they could. Thanks for the new menu review - the chicken tenders look like the clear winner!
Im laughing out loud at you pulling your glasses down and looking at us!!!😂😂😂 over a dollar a noodle!! Yeah we could make over a hundred and eleven noodles for that price!
Veloute sauce (pr. Va=loo=tay). Means velvety and is a stock thickened with a roux and cream. Can differ in flavour depending on which stock used and is a fantastic sauce if well seasoned and they should have given you more, though French people don't usually drown their food in sauce.
Thank you for the great review! We will def try Bar Riva when we're back in June. Always looking for some new cocktails to try! The charcuterie board looked awesome for the price. Was that "blue looking" cheese brie? I like all cheeses, even blue cheese, gorganzola and, especially brie, which is actually a pretty mild cheese. You would have liked it. I'm glad you did Rose & Crown last video. I love the fish & chips outside and had never been inside. After your review I don't feel like I'm missing anything lol. When we were there last month. I found that security will let you in if you have a mobile order pickup. Just show the the app with your order. Unless they've gotten more strict in the past month. The only problem I have with your videos is I always want more. So great job!
OMG the last time we visited Disney had a reservation for dinner after a day in EPCOT. My daughter-in-law and I took the skyliner to the resort and my son drove our car from EPCOT to the resort. Had he not we wouldn’t been able to get back to our hotel., the sky-liner would have been closed. Security would not allow my son to park the car until the actual time of the reservation
We are staying here for our Christmas trip this year and I’m so glad you did this! The way you said -skippable- with such confidence was hilarious. Great review!
My wife and I have gone the route of making a dining reservation and just not showing up. I look at the $20 no show fee as simply paying for premium parking. BTW I am a new follower of your channel and have binged several episodes...great quality content with no filters on your opinions🙏🏻
Will need to check this out when we go. I think the people who park for free to go to the parks have ruined just popping into the resorts for people who actually want to see the resorts
I think you're smart enough to know why security has to be strict about parking at the Riviera. Even passholders who have their parking already taken care of would be very tempted to park there.and have a leisurely Skyliner ride over to Epcot, or even HS. Especially considering the advantages of using thr INTL gateway.
I understand, but there has to be a way to identify people who are actually parking there to dine at places that don't accept reservations. Universal hotels do this, you get your parking validated or you pay.
And if anyone wants to go can't park in the parks in order to take transportation, you can always go to Disney Springs and take their buses anywhere you want as well. Riviera and the Magic Kingdom resort area specifically are the strictest on this policy. Fort Wilderness is literally like a Fort during the holidays since those times are popular for decorations and a lot of people want to get into the resort in order to check it out. Overflow parking is full and that's with not allowing anyone else in.
Having to go to Disney Springs is a major inconvenience. I would rather go eat at my local Chilis than spend all that time to spend a ton of money to eat & grab drinks somewhere. It is definitely an option though.
@@wrightdownmainstreet I understand. I only suggested it for anyone who was watching who doesn't have a pass, because if someone doesn't already have a pass, or ticket, they cannot park at Hollywood Studios and ride the Skyliner over as you suggested towards the end of the video without being charged for parking. So if someone else wants to make the effort, doesn't have a pass, Disney Springs is the easiest and cheapest to go if you don't have a dining reservation and want to wing it since they also happen to have all the buses for the resorts.
Theme park foodies rated Primo Piatta as the Best quick food service. Real.plates and silverware. Nothing good comes in a cardboard box at Disney. Go back and order the bolonaise on a plate. Also Italian sandwich is good and croque missouer. The price for what you got was really good for a restaurant at Disney. Thanks
I hear you with the security. Way too strict. Security guard would NOT let me pick up my cast member friend from work because I wasn’t “specific enough” with where I was going to pick him up. Apparently, the lobby or primo piatto where he was, for how small this resort is, wasn’t good enough for him. Went to Caribbean beach and told security there the same thing and his only words were “make a u-turn.” so i had to pick him up from Hollywoods parking lot.. crazy lmao
A couple of ideas I would love to see you do. Order and review all the food at the weird, deserted Martha's Vineyard, and do vegan breakfast, lunch and dinner at each park! Really love watching your channel! Thanks for what you do!
Cookies, burger, pasta and chicken tenders . . . at a food service bar at the Riviera Resort? This place couldn't sell items a little closer to the hotel's so-called theming?
The look of frustration over the noodle count and dropping the sunglasses 😂
It was a very unfortunate revelation 😂
Over a dollar per noodle? I'm right there with you, Kristin. I'm glad the flavor 😋 was there.
Crazy hahaa thats some expensive pasta even for Disney
13:07 😂😂😂 this should have been the thumb nail
I knew it was going to be that!!! Agree 💯 lol
Riviera QS is top notch. Those lemon ricotta pancakes are outstanding as is Topolino’s breakfast. Now I need to hit Bar Riva for the tenders !
Let's go this week!
Riviera is our home resort. Love it here! Hope they don’t get rid of the lemon blueberry pancakes! Those are my favorite.

I love those cookies, I’d go back just for those.
Absolutely love Bar Riva ❤ Always top notch drinks and food 😊
Agreed 😊
Well at the Saratoga springs resort - non guests walk over and fill our pool chairs.
You can park at Disney Springs for free and catch one of the buses to the hotel from there.
I really need to win the lottery so I can go to all these places 🤣 love your videos as always Kristen! Sending you love vibes ❤
Thanks so much!! Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

According to the waitress it was a very mild blue cheese similar to gorgonzola. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the tip on mobile orders & security!
Glad I found this review!
Great review! Can’t wait to try the charcuterie. We love Bar Riva and make a stop there every visit.
tThank you Kristen for this review. I really needed to see what they were offering.
Glad I could help!
Great review
What a beautiful video!!! Thank you! Wishing you a wonderful weekend! ❤❤️🙏

Lol good point about the boneless chicken 🍗

Morning Kristen- can’t wait to see Riviera Resort this summer! Hope to see you in August- Lynze from NJ 💯
Thanks for watching Lynze! Riviera is a beautiful resort, you're going to love it.
@@wrightdownmainstreet heading there for Topolino’s breakfast for the 1st time and very excited! 🎉
When’s your next trip to Disneyland to try their billion new food items? I’m going there in a month and I’m already freaking out about what to eat!

We will be there in November and I see that there will be so many new items to try!!!!
Kristen you need a whole pitcher of water since your sitting outside.
That’s why I like to stay there very quiet best bar and quick service
Not to mention Skyliner access!!
Will need to check this out when we go. I think the people who park for free to go to the parks have ruined just popping into the resorts for people who actually want to see the resorts
Love that resort!
Hi! Thanks for the video. Can you use the pool if you have a dinner reservation? TYSM 🎉
No, the pool is for resort guests only
@@wrightdownmainstreet thank you!!
Weird. I had no issues going to Wilderness Lodge or Animal Kingdom lodge on my last visit. They let me right in with no issues.

Why the heck did bar riva remove the wings from the menu????

Pretty sure they spelt “Volute” wrong. Its Veloute. One of the 5 main mother sauces in french cooking
Where’s the dessert??
Idk about that drink. It literally looks like a Bloody Mary and that would throw me off every sip
They made a typo with that sauce.. its velouté..
A couple people have mentioned this. Spell check must have failed them this time around 😅

ohh that would be fun!
Honestly I’m upset about the chicken wings being gone. If you know then you know. Those were the best things to eat on the entire property.
Hands down the best wings. So pissed they removed from the menu.
They need to find a way to give you a to go pasta NOT in a cardboard box and NOT child size I would have completely complained lol
