- Prayagraj is famous for Kumbh mela, that happens every 12 years. Millions of people come to Allahabad for dip in holy water.
We travelled to Allahabad for a day, started our journey by taking a dip in holy waters, there after explored street food of Allahabad.
Imp. information for travellers: It took us about 3 and a half hour to travel distance of 120 km on taxi between Varanasi to Allahabad.
Though you can do up and down from Varanasi to Allahabad on the same day but it will be better if you do a night halt there and come back on next day.

I am from Chennai. I visited Allahabad in 2002. It is good place. I saw people were simple warm and cooperative. It is a holy place and i.enjoyed peaceful life. Thank god now the name had been renamed as Program. Love to see the city once again Nov. God must help to eradicate Covid.,19

Bahuch achchha laga ye video dekh kar, sab jana pahchana sa lag raha tha, triveni ke darshan, lete huye hanuman ji ka darshan, churmura, netram ki kachuri, alfred park. How sweet, i like this video very much, sir yaha ki aur achchhi baat hai yaha pe bachche competition ki preparation karne ke liye bhi aate hain, shiksha ka bahut bada hub hai prayagraj, yaha kitne student graamin kshetra se aakar taiyari karte hain aur officer ban ke jate hai. Prayagraj and Varanasi should not be seen only under the lenses of spirituality These two placed were prominent in terms if education and prosperity, Industries and employment generation until Mayawati and Mulayam came into power during the early 1990. This was the time when all the 4 major cities of Uttar Pradesh namely Kanpur, Lucknow, Allahabad and Varanasi saw a decline for the first time in history. Had these places been looked after properly then these places would have been like Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune. Both Mulayam and Mayawati do not belong to awadh so they never intended to work for the people of awadh. They gave more importance to places in the west Uttar Pradesh like Noida, Ghaziabaad, Meerut and Agra. Except for Agra, the other places dont even deserve the kind of financial, economical industrial and infrastructural development that they got . People of Awadh( East Uttar Pradesh) need to realize the injustice that was done to them and stop supporting Mulayam and Mayawati. I hope to see Kanpur and Lucknow being among the top 10 financial cities of India. Allahabad (Prayagraj ) and Varanasi should be developed as IT hubs and business districts. If this does not happen soon then people of East UP should demand to be separated as a different state of Awadh.
