Thanks for thus but at 3:05 into the video I can not remove that part it's like it's stuck. I have the white dc08 so I'm wondering if there's a difference between the two models?
@@green-crocs-fixes1520 thank you. I managed to remove it, all parts are washed and will give it 24 hours to dry. Already bought new filters so will let you know how I get on. Thanks again.
@Yeoblade it worked fantastic. I swear it had more suction than when it was new. And I'll be cleaning it again soon. This video saved me from buying a new vacuum.
I did all this after my dyson animal dc08 made a funny sound. Almost knocking rumbling sound. Then came a rubber burning smell. No suction. So i followed instructions. Put the plug in it cave a small humm and no totally dead. Could it be the power supply switch that burnt out?
Thanks for making this video, I have an old dyson like that and it’s given me the opportunity to get it working again, very useful information
Thank you Karen,

Hi!. 3:18 what is the hexagonal screw driver size to dismount the handle?
Hi Path finder,
it's called a Star Torx Screwdriver. Size T15 I think.
@@green-crocs-fixes1520 thank you! Good news. Yesterday I saw that size in my metal shop!

Thanks Mirie
the funnel at the bottom of the Cyclone unit should just pull away as you see.
Regards.
