"This song is about the danger that the open, pluralistic and democratic society is in. From outside and inside authoritarian forces try to appeal to the low instincts in people to wield their power over them.
It once looked like it could be becoming a better world after cold war had ended. Societies seemed to make progress to be more open, more tolerant towards minorities and diversity, and democracy and freedom seemed to be coming for more people. Still capitalism and its greed and injustice remained a big question we needed to address, and still too many people were living without freedom and in poverty.
But instead of improving it seems we are actually heading for worse now instead of making more progress.
And we need to stand up against it. Because our freedom is no longer guaranteed.
Authoritarian/totalitarian ideology, religious fundamentalism, anti-science, anti-facts, greed, fascism, racism, sexism, homophobia - you will never be our god!
This is to all people in the world - you all deserve to live in freedom, to live how you want to live, to say what you want to say, in respect of the freedom of others."

@@665demondog Yeah, I know. But the musical foundation is still symphonic metal. The thing is that my favorite band from that genre by a wide margin is Epica and they also mesh symphonic with death metal, which I vastly prefer in general, so if Xandria would go a bit in that direction, I certainly wouldn't mind. And as much as I miss Dianne van Giersbergen, with Ambre as vocalist, they could actually go for this.

Ambre and Ralf the voices intertwine and blend in such a superb way (which I hope they duet together again) Ambre what to say, you are beautiful and exceptional (I loved your part in Growl). In this song I heard a fusion of the xandarian sound, both of it and of Primal Fear (Wonderful). Thanks Xandria for this amazing new single, I can't wait for the new album to come out. (And as our dear Ralf METAL IS FOREVER would say).🤟🤟🤟

@@user-be2wr4hq2g Lisa was very unique and she defined the Xandriasound yes but this is still very good aswell. I am very optimistic about the future releases from this lineup.
Don't give up on it, it takes a while to get used to a new vocalist when you have listened to Xandria with Lisa for soo long, but then it starts to feel right in a while and then you actually think this is just the right vocalist. I like the new Delain vocalist aswell.

I've been listening to Xandria for many years now and I have to admit I miss Lisa Middelhauve, but I have faith that the band will bring a lot of good stuff and I will always be able to hear good music from her.

When I already thought they will never be able to beat the 2012 album, but this sounds even better. The new singer is amazing, crazy range from growling to opera high. But wow, the melodic and rythmic parts here are also amazing.

conoci xandria por casualidad en carteles de propaganda cuando vinieron a argentina con dianne y me dio curiosidad , en su momento fue la unica banda que me transmitio la misma euforia que me dio nightwish con tarja en su momento y por que no posterior mente y no lo digo solo por las vocalistas que pasaron por xandria ,todas tuvieron lo suyo pero en gran parte el exito es por toda la banda y lo que transmiten , muy bueno 👍👏💪

Been on a female fronted band binge for quite a while now because of how the ladies of metal are absolutely slaying it. This was a recommended yt song and ive never heard this band before.
