While I thought the majority of the soundtrack to Mega Man X6 was mediocre, I loved THE FUCK out of this BGM. Great Genesis/MD-style remix! Enigma Hyena (an Internet handle that would make a FANTASTIC Maverick name, in my humble opinion) more or less said what I wanted to say. This remix is pure audio cocaine, because I can't get enough of it.
I really can't stress how near and dear to me Renegade's older remixes are! High school (after freshman year) was already a blast for me, but these remixes felt like part of the soundtrack of my teenage years!
...How did I only just now notice this? :o I must have been doing that thing where one reads a word or name too quickly and mentally supplies a previously known word/name that looks similar. Now I feel like a major dweeb.
@@DTX0217 No worries mate, there's always someone worse than you. I used to think it was an _"Ankly_ osaurus", like its ankles were important or something.
love this. actually an improvement over the original. the tunes sound a lot more prominant and memorable. in the original it just sounded like blank ambient background
Unlike most, I thought there were two fs in Blizzard Wolfang. Most people think there are 2 gs. I always associated wolf + fang, instead of the common name Wolfgang. I don't remember much from this boss besides burning him to a crisp, apologies.
Great Job, when I can I usually see your works. I wonder if you thought to use in one of your guitar samples, a one specific for the unreleased game Time Trax for Genesis. (Sorry for my bad English).
This track benefits intensely from the Genesis sound, making it better than the original by leaps and bounds. Then again, I may be biased as I have a burning hatred of late 90's mid 00's synth brass, and you having replaced them with that better, dare I say poignant soundfont has done my both my ears and my opinion of this track in general a great service!
This track greatly benefits from the Mega Drive sound, personally I never really paid much attention to the original but I could happily listen to this version instead over and over. The different pitch compared to the original works really well too. Great job as usual Ren! Do you have a personal favourite from X6?
TheLegendOfRenegade Just listening to all of those makes me feel like a kid again. Blizzard Wolfgang's theme in Genesis style gives off a somewhat retro 80s/90s feel in the music for some reason. Well, in my ears anyway
+TheLegendofRenegade I know its been a year, but could u do Rainy Turtloid's theme? Its a personal favorite of mine from X6 and it would sound great with the sound of genesis
Blizzard Wolfgang.
One of the best composers of all time.
HE DESTROYED THE CITY
AND COMPOSED PHAT BEATS
I'm pretty sure he neve forgave himself what he did.
But in the end of his life he was Activision Antonio.
Awesome, sounds like a Ice Cap Act 3 hahaha.
my fffffffffavorite
Brrrrrrruuuh, this is s-so c-chill! Like a-a-an 80s j-j-j-jam!
D-d-d-damn it's c-cold.
One of my favorites from X6. Nicely done!
This song gives me the chills

Renegade’s remixes go so damn hard, and I love them for it.
As you probably already know, his actual name is Blizzard Wolfang

I thought it was Blizzard Wolfgang so you're not alone

Hostius Hostilius 😂 Same!
@@DTX0217 Looks like we've both returned from 5 years ago 😄
Love it!

This theme reminds me of a lone wanderer drifting in the snowy country at sunset, reflecting on his life
I was wondering how you'd top the Battle Mania remix. Sweet reverb.
'remembers ice blocks and suddenly can't remember the taste of food nor the sound of water nor the touch of grass'

***** I always thought that the first part of his name was Blizzack. Must have been me confusing bosses with someone from the Zero series.
It's my favorite ice theme!
How would it looks if used sparkster rocket adventure 2 stage 5 instruments?

This is awesome, just wondering though if you'll be doing the music from Megaman X Command Mission?
The start sounds like something you hear in a Church.

Commander Yammark, Blaze Heatnix, Infinity Mijinion, Sigma 2nd

Dee15gon Those chords are so 80s, I love 'em.
*****
That's why I love so much of the PS1 X soundtracks to begin with. 80s chords galore.

Laid-Back Pole Zone Act 1
Where's ground scaravich, blaze heatnix, shield Sheldon, and rainy turtloid?
Almost sounds like Shining Force
Sounds like etrian odyssey.
blizzard cavern zone
blizzard glacier zone
Recommended for Canada and USA
May I make a Super Nintendo remix of this theme to support you?
This one sounds sad to me.
You spelled Bilzzard Wolfgang wrong
+Swift_Heracross You actually misspelled Blizzard Wolfang...
Masterbri you dont know the joke
Swift_Heracross wat
this is terrible compared to the original
+sayewonn wisseh Why?
Eh, it doesn't translate as well into the sega genesis soundfont... I like this anyway.
