The main theory as to why Loona won’t work with monotree again is that BBC want to disconnect from Jaden Jeong (creative director) as much as possible. When Jaden left, their music was no longer produced by monotree and there has been no explanation as to why they won’t work with Loona again if they seem to be on decent grounds with BBC. Also it is important to note that even if monotree begins producing their music again, it may not be the same. As creative director, Jaden Jeong was in charge of what the “Loona sound” would be like. With him gone, it may not be the same. Now I’m not really defending him or anything bc I know he is a controversial topic among orbits. Also with the new comeback “Flip That”, it seems to be an attempt at the “Loona sound” so maybe Loona doesn’t need Jaden or even monotree to go back to their pre debut music. TL;DR Main producer (monotree) changed and creative director (Jaden Jeong) left. Even if monotree come back, it may not be the same as there won’t be the guidance of the creative director. Flip That seems to be a good step in the right direction tho to go back making songs like they did in this era.
