This actually doesn't look bad in HFR
It’s because the movements are mostly straight forward and simple. It makes it easier for the AI to interpolate correctly so it feels like it was shot in HFR originally and looks good.
no because all CGI looks fAR better in HFR. Only humans look weird.
That's because this is well done, real HFR movies are very good but they fail in important elements such as their color grading (they look more like a demo than a movie) and that doesn't happen in this case, directors should really take note of these projects when we make movies in glorious HFR.

The music & artwork is what made this movie so good. Too bad Disney didn't push it to its success. Some kid movie made more movie at the time so they didn't bother to work on part 2. But imo the movie was too underrated with so much potential. 10/10 from me 🔥

@@zergslayer69 I honestly doubt it. They've already messed up multiple movies and are beginning to create the stories more carefully I believe. I only see 2 ways for them to mess this movie up:
1. Soundtrack not similar to daft punk's
2. Prioritizing propaganda
That the thing it was a descent story. Very simple a story about a father and son reuniting. It seems like stories has to be super Christ Nolan inception tenet complex for people to enjoy it. This a film I will watch with my kids it’s a good simple little film that definitely immerses you for a hour and half.
I watched Tron during release at a "RealD 3D" theater in 2010, but it was too dark to get totally immersed in. This would have made such a better impression.

Avatar's mistake was alternating 48fps scenes with 24fps, making it look strange, the best thing they would have done is leave everything at 48fps or simply shoot at 60fps as in this case.

ZOMG. At first I didn't care for the 60 FPS (I'm a traditionalist for 24 FPS), but thinking about it more, it feels really appropriate for Tron. This would likely be the only film I would approve of 60 FPS conversion.

Open matte is incorrect. It’s just not cropped to 2.35:1 and it’s obvious because of the loose framing.
Hello there. Most people can find the version labeled as Open Matte. Viewers ask why the difference in aspect ratio and this is the most accurate simple definition. If you want to go technical: "Virtually every scene in TRON Legacy was shot with the Sony F35 CineAlta digital cinema camera. This camera has a native 1.78:1 (16×9) aspect ratio and captures footage in the 1080p high-definition video format (1920×1080 pixels). The 2.39:1 aspect ratio of the TRON Legacy theatrical presentation (2.35:1 on the Blu-ray) was accomplished by matting out the top and bottom portions of the recorded image with black bars to create a letterboxed projection. Unlike The Dark Knight, which also had a changing aspect ratio because of the different camera systems used, no IMAX film cameras were used to shoot TRON Legacy." ------- Thanks for watching!

Usually I'm not a fan of upscaling programs and all (becuase it usually doesn't work that well) but I can say we entered the era where it finally is getting better! The framerates still seem a little odd at some points. Sometimes it stutters and sometimes it still looks like 24fps. But the HDR. WOW.

I was so impressed with this film and the visuals i liked it shame it just didn't do well and no 4k and in steelbook just blu ray. Now where going to get a new tron film called tron ares but i just dont think its going to be as good. What made tron legacy good for me it had the original actor jeff bridges without him i just dont think its going to work also the actors that has been cast i don't know who they are apart from jared leto who thinks he looks cool looking like jesus and i don't what him looking like that for a futuristic visual film. Don't get me wrong i do want another big budget tron film but i want it done better and visually stunning and bring back Daft Punk for the new sound track otherwise don't bother making another film

This looks better than any movie I've ever watched in theatres, especially the buttery smoothness and crispness of 60fps. Show this to any buffoon who says 60 fps movies look "bad" or look "weird". It's because of them that we're still stuck with pathetic 24 fps garbage while these production studios make millions off of continuing to film and produce movies at the same framerate since the 1920s.
