The cushy vibe lip stains, are exactly what they are called. They are lip stains, not really a liquid lip. They are very common in South Korea. They are more for staining your lips, and I usually put them just in the center of my lips. I don't think they are intended to work like a liquid lip, so I just wanted to put that out there!
To tell you the truth, there are many videos/pictures of the blended outwards lip, but it's not as popular as many people believe, it used to be, but it's lost popularity, they're more into normal, completely filled lips.
PSA: the reason why some lip products are not SUPER pigmented is because pigment is not very important to koreans because they opt for more light natural looks and buildable coverage and color in makeup products. there r even some lip products that are meant to be light in coverage such as peripera ink “airy” which means very light coverage. just wanted to put that out there in case anyone thought these products were bad or not good quality bc it wasnt pigmented enough but about the lip sticks i do see where u are coming from in the sense that the price point is a bit high for the quality
Yess and I believe the title on the lip products are "Lip stain"?? which means it's supposed to "stain" the lip with pigment, not to give a full coverage as lipsticks do. I'm not sure if these lip stains she tried on are like any typical Kbeauty lip stains (since she's not doing any check-ins) but it's supposed to leave the pigment of colour on your lips even after the product she put on the lips have been transferred, making it look like it's your natural lip colour. That's why they are not transfer proof.
Tati!!!! The lip products are used for a GRADIENT on the lip, where you place the product on the center and blur it out. This is korean beauty trend, you should definitely watch some korean beauty youtubers like risabae or ssinnim who demonstrate this!
therealreporter gradient lips have kind of been dying out as a trend lately but Koreans just like stains. I think it’s because it ends up looking and feeling more natural than lipstick but can still give you really vibrant color. Lately Pony and Jella and other Korean beauty channels have been applying tents to the whole lip like Tati did. The big difference seems to be the preference for defused edges over sharp lines
If you put a gradient lip on today, most koreans will shudder lmao. That trend died out like 5 years ago. Nowadays, the trend is to apply the color all over the lips, while avoiding a harsh lipline. Essentially a more natural looking lip, usually matte.
the gradient lip is less of a trend, as it's always been around. it's still very common among high schoolers and girls who prefer a more innocent look, as tints will always be around and brands are always coming out with it. as for trends, velvet/matte lips are very popular right now, especially with warm, reddish toned eyes
I wanted to tell you all I tried Halo because my hair had been falling out because of medicine the doctor gave me. I stopped taking the medication but a lot of my hair had fallen out. I tried so many other vitamins claiming to grow hair and nails, none worked. So I tried Halo, it was amazing not only did it help my hair and nails but my skin looks amazing. Thanks Tati
If that ever happens again, maybe try not to focus on vitamins for hair and nails and try either multi vitamins or prenatal vitamins (since those give double the dosage of everything in multivitamins). Oftentimes when our hair starts to break or fall out, it can be traced back to a deficiency of some sort. Zinc deficiency etc. But I'm so glad that you found something that works for you!
BZ there's plenty of reasons for hair falling out. you can make a blood test to find out if you have a deficiency but when you don't there's literally no use in taking vitamins. in most cases it's just expensive pee
For me I was taking low doses of chemo because I have RA, this made my hair brittle and fall out. Because of this my dr. Knew the cause. I was taking prenatal before I took Halo, the Halo worked better.
hi tati! Mochi is an asian dessert, and thats where the shape comes from, and the lip tints are meant to wear as a slight tint on the inner lips! I would love to see you do a k beauty video applied with korean techniques! love you!
mochi is actually original a japanese food, usually eaten as a plain rice cake with soy sauce or soup. the dessert part came later :)) (not too relevant haha but a lot people dont know this)
I’m Korean but I’ve never heard about ‘Kaja’ so I searched about it. This brand was made by ‘MEMEBOX’ which is a quite well known cosmetic company in Korea. Memebox cooperated with Sephora and this brand ‘Kaja’ is a result of it. It isn’t the one like Missha but this was definitely made by a cosmetic brand of Korea. But I don’t know why they didn’t name the brand ‘I’m meme’ which really exists in Korea.
I think people would misunderstand the brand as meme instead of me-me. Thanks for this info, I never heard of Kaja and thought it was like others think that it not a korean brand
Memebox is an american company created by two koreans. The headquarters are in San Francisco and it has branches in Seoul, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan, so, even it is sold in Korea I would not say Memebox is a Korean company, if it really was a Korean company, it would not use 'bento' or 'mochi' to name its products.
Just thought I’d mention this. KAJA Beauty isn’t exactly a ‘K-Beauty’ brand. It’s a collaboration between Memebox and Sephora and is exclusively available in Sephora. I’m pretty sure this brand isn’t even available here in South Korea anyway, there’s no Sephora lol Dear Dahlia, on the other hand, is an actual K-beauty brand though I have yet to try it. Currently in a ‘no-buy’ period 😂 Would like to see more K-Beauty brands featured such as Etude House, Innisfree, 3CE, MISSHA, etc.
I love etude house and missha. Missha had a store in new York years ago, and we walked into one of their shops on a whim ( we were visiting New York). It felt so high end and clean.
Leigh Hartman The Face Shop also have their own makeup line, i love their mascara soo much!! It makes my tiny unnoticeable eyelashes pop! Lol u shud try it!
Cassy Redmond innisfree, etude house, peri pera, banila co, sulwhasoo, 3CE which in my country we have them in Sephora and plus their packaging are super cute!
I'd assume the lip products are stains, K beauty tends to favor a wash on the lips for dimension. Maybe blot the excess, you'll have the wash of color and a bit of dry down.
Hi tati (: I think those lipsticks are actually lip tints! They are meant to be used for gradient lips and should be applied in the inner parts of your lips. As they are meant for a very subtle, natural look, the pigment will be much more sheer than your typical liquid lip or lipsticks. (: if you want to try k beauty products from Sephora, I highly recommend reviewing 3CE, as they are from Korea and they do provide liquid lipsticks with high pigment. Many k beauty products are focused on subtle makeup, and long wearing makeup, so I would love you see you do a review on makeup brands from Korea and see how long they last, or try to create a natural look from them! Thank you ❤️
Out of all the comments telling tati that she did it wrong, yours is by far the most respectful and least attacky that I've seen! Thank you for spreading positivity♡
I don't think you're using those lip stains correctly. Usually Korean lip products that are stains are meant to be worn as a sheer wash. Maybe that's why there was a texture issue?
Dang...people are going SO hard in the comments about the “right and wrong” way to use makeup by K-beauty brands. Is it really all that serious, people? I get that Korea has its own trends. Tati is not disputing or disrespecting that. But, really, it’s only makeup. It washes off. It’s supposed to be fun. Anyone can wear it any way they want, which is what she’s doing. Honestly, it’s not that big a deal.
If something is made to be applied a certain way, you should use it correctly when doing a review so that you can be fair. It's like getting a powder foundation and using a beauty blender or getting a lipstick and reviewing it as a blush. You're not giving it justice. That is why people are complaining, especially because it's not the first time. We all believe she can do better because we support her but it's a little bit disappointing.
@@bluebrrybrain I feel you. It always irks me when she uses the bblender for a CUSHION foundation, the cushion is there for a reason, this is the whole point of it, to get that nice airbrushed natural cover
Yeah makeup is really fun but when you review or judge a product, you should judge it accordingy on how it's supposed to be used or applied. Lip tints wil not give you opaque coverage so you can't say it's subpar because it's not full coverage. I'm a K-everything fan myself and it's still nice and entertaining to see Tati play with some K-beauty. it was a good attempt and we still see her eagerness and excitement to try out new things, and that's what matters.
@@patrycjag.9769 she uses a blender to blend it in better. It's like how most people use their own brushes rather than the brushes that come with the product
I wish someone would make a video on what to do when you make boo boos while doing makeup like if your eyes water it if you get your mascara under you eye and you already did your face makeup if you start getting patches idk I would love to see a video like that
I would totally want to watch a TH-camr like Tati do a K- Beauty, but apply the makeup lightly and naturally. You know, give it a real shot for how it's meant to be applied. Not Western style makeup. I love Tati so much!!!! ❤❤❤❤
I'm in the same boat. Im going to have to wait until after May at the soonest( due to needing to save for other things first) :( But I'm sure itll be worth the wait and saving!
Ohhh I love how you varied this video with talking about what you did but not as you were doing it at that very moment....makes it easier to see what you are doing and you were able to zoom in doing so. Loved this new technique!
I was really excited for this new line! But honestly I just LOVE Etude House, the packaging gets me every time in terms of K-beauty...and the quality is amazing for the price! I've done videos with that and Missha if you're interested hehe ✨
Lip tint or stains (velvet feels too) are popular in Korea, they put a little and spread it for more natural and fresh look! 💕 same goes with their eyeshadows. They usually just use 2-4 eyeshadows, normally light brown, dark brown and shimmers.. they like doing simple and natural look ❤
I said it before when Tati reviewed the Joah brand, neither Joah or Kaja brands are K-beauty. They are american brands trying to take on the fame of Korean beauty products. Kaja is made by Memebox (an american company) and Sephora. Those brands are not being sold in South Korea, where I live.
@@shaindyheller706 Memebox is an american company created by two koreans. The headquarters are in San Francisco and not Joah or neither Kaja brands are being sold in South Korea.
First off I just want to say ; Tati your'e amazing and you are so hard working putting up videos like everyday and you are so honest and trustworthy! Okay so here is my point, the products come off as some sort of k beauty items but I'm not entirely sure why the makers have used the words "mochi" and "bento" as these are japanese words/food items. A mochi is a sticky rice cake you can get from japan and bento is like the bento box obviously haha thats why the product is stackable, because bento is a stacked lunch box. I'm just confused why they would get korean products mixed up with japan?? although they both do have very similar make up trends not gonna lie. I just had to put this out there and I'm also wondering if anyone thought the same??
@@AquaSun-11203 I personally feel like brands should maybe start to educate themselves more on what is the correct use of words for a specific line or product, especially for the use of words and ideas from non western cultures. I definitely do however appreciate that they are trying to keep up with trends from all around the world and its a great idea, but i just wish they would research and take more time into thinking about the labeling rather then slapping on a label just to keep up with trends and fashions. No shade to anyone though, I just think it would help people to understand because it is quite confusing :)
same!! If sephora wants to promote this line as K-beauty, they shouldve named their products in korean; 'ttoek' and 'dosirak' instead of 'mochi' and 'bento'.
I think just because a product is made in Korea doesn't mean that its Kbeauty. Even Kat Von D liner is made in Korea. I think Tati needs to review Kbeauty products that are actually well known in Korea like Etude House, Innisfree, Mamonde, etc. I have never even heard of those brands nor anyone who uses those products in Korea. I think judging Kbeauty by those American "Kbeauty" brands is unfair. Just my opinion :/
Diane Kim YES!!!! This is not Kbeauty it’s like calling The Creme Shop products K beauty their just bandwagoning because they know kbeauty is the way to go currently
Zercelian Zoe She’s been under fire for reviewing a supposed ‘K-beauty brand’ just recently. I think it was the JOHA Beauty brand? She emphasized earlier in the video that this is a K-beauty brand, which, to be honest, it really isn’t. This brand isn’t even available in South Korea lmao
Im pretty sure she decided to review new items available in Sephora (easily accessible to a good portion of her viewers).. She got something in PR that excited her, so she reviewed it. I sincerely appreciate her reviewing items i can go purchase..
you should get your hands on some E’Tude House, Holika Holika, VT Cosmetics, maybe Tony Moly I’ve heard that the E’Tude House primer is quite good. maybe the E’tude House liquid lipsticks with Red Velvet (a female k-pop group) and I know that VT is about to launch a whole line with BT21 (they’re characters created by BTS) but they already have a cushion with BTS
I think she should pass holika holika and tonymoly... not really the best k-brands out there 😁 although i guess tonymoly has been doing rebranding so maybe their stuff has gotten better.
@@anniestrinkets8431 The Etude House Sunprise SPF50 is my everyday face & neck sun protection. I usually prefer unscented things, because scents tend to give me rashes, but the lemon meringue (so, so yummy!) smelling scent in the SPF doesn't bother me one bit! It doesn't react poorly with any of my skincare, either. No balling or pilling, and dries down pretty quickly. Plus it's cheaper than most face SPF at the drugstore, and works so much better for me than all that I've tried. Love it so hard!
LittleMaliceManny I have that sunscreen being shipped to me right now. Have you tried the Biore Essence sunscreen? I love that one so much and I’m anxious to compare the two
interesting that "bento" means Japanese packaged meal and "mochi" is a type of Japanese desert. However "Authentically Korean" these beauty products may be, apparently the people who are coming up with the product names can't be bothered to get their east Asian countries straight. Discouraging. Tati's makeup and outfit look absolutely adorable, though!!!
I mean to be fair, the Japanese had a lot of influence on Korean culture and vice versa due to the past imperial efforts of the Japanese. They're also still relatively closely connected to this day. Especially because both countries gladly partake in cultural diffusion and enjoy sharing culture in a way that popularises it. What I'm trying to say is that it wouldn't be odd or out of place for either culture to use an example from the other for inspiration.
RIGHT!? It's such a slap in the face to represent Korea, and then include all things Japanese. Having lived in Korea for 2 years now, I also experience the same pride that Koreans feel toward their country.
+SmilesForMiles hm I wouldn't consider myself an expert on kbeauty and culture but I'm fairly familiar with it. I don't think they would do that. In this particular case, I think the Westerners behind the brand couldn't tell Korean and Japanese culture apart.
Yea Sephora and Memebox are probably just going for stereotypically asian and cute, more than korean. Altho mochi is just the japanese worde for rice cake and can be found in korea. Sometimes it gets called mochi, most of the time it gets called the korean name. Depends on where you are. Plus mochi just sounds better to me than "tteok" lol. If you read their description on Sephora it just says it's "packed with Korean innovation" whatever that means.
Tati I love you so much, I’m so sorry for all of those people that are treating you like crap. You do not deserve that at all whatsoever. You’re always such a honest person and that’s why i keep coming back. Please don’t ever change that and keep doing you. You’re amazing!!!!
Tati, I know you're probably not going to see this, but that's fine because I really just need to get this off my chest somehow. I have been subscribed to you for a long long time now and I've watched just about all of your videos. While I'm not usually huge on commenting, I have to applaud you for your professional way of handling the hate you have been receiving recently. Having watched you for soso long and having dicovered some of my favourite products thanks to you, I know that I can trust that you are 100% real in your videos. I just wanted to say that don't deserve any of this backlash and that your fans/followers love you because you're just as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside 💕
Tati I love you, but I wish that when you did k beauty reviews you judged them on how they’re supposed to be used/applied. Korean make is very different from American makeup specifically in application. American makeup application is often too heavy in comparison. Korean go for extremely natural looks. So pigment and formula should be judged accordingly not by American standards
Like yeah if we talk about lip stain let's talk about it as about lip stain there are quite enough lip products with high coverage in Korea too, like 3ce velvet lip tint, 3ce lacquer, pony effect liquid lipstick, mamonde lip crayons in matte, heimish, vdl, clio, even peripera and a lot more, just do your researches if you want smth specific and don't rate stain like it is supposed to be liquid lipstick
Okay so the lip stains are supposed lip stain/tints. In Korea they wear them as an ombré lip. You don’t see very many of them wear it full on like Tati did. You applie on the inner rim of the mouth then blend out to give it a pillowy look. So really the quality should be based on how well the product tints the lips and how long they last. And of course if they are comfortable. If you want a liquid lipstick that you just want to put full on on your lips then yeah just buy a normal liquid lipstick that isn’t a tinting or staining one.
Tati, could you pleaseeeee do a video of your favorite products because they are super long wearing only?? I have super long days between work and school and I don't just want long-wear foundation but highlight, blush, eyeshadow, etc. :)
I personally love mousse lip products! My favorite liquid lipstick of all time is the Armani Lip Maestro. They transfer like crazy but are comfortable and #504 is just too beautiful.
just sharing my favorite drugstore lip product, I love love love love the Maybelline superstay matte ink, it really stays there even if you pig out. the shade Lover has the longest wear ever! it's great and cheap! and doesn't dry down.
I swatched that Fenty Diamond Bomb yesterday at Sephora and it is pretty much pure glitter. It seemed more of a body highlighter than a face one--especially considering the big brush they suggested it be used with. It looked great on my hand but I can't see using that on the face.
Same with Trophy Wife for me, it's so gorgeous but it's so gold and it gets EVERYWHERE. In the right moment it would be good, but otherwise it's pretty extra. But I still love swatching stuff that like.
I love the cushy vibe lip stain. To me its a hybrid between a lip stick and lip stain which fades super nicely throughout the day. It’s my go to lip product of the moment! 😍
I think those lipsticks are perfect if you are going to style it like how Koreans do if you get what I’m saying. You are using the products like how westerners would apply their makeup, so idk what to think of the review. I think I’d be into the lipsticks.
I'm Korean and why I've never heard of Kaja beauty haha. Tati please try cushion foundation and lipsticks of dear dahlia. they are AWESOME!! Especially cushion foundation. it's full coverage
Dang, can you compare their lipsticks' formula to anything? I am kinda hesitating cuz I love almost all colors in the line, and I have their cushion and lip treatments and totally love it, buuut idk if official swatches are accurate and what formula feels like.
Tati, I just love that look on you, especially the lip colour, you're the prettiest lady in the world, but this look and lipstick takes it to another level of beauty.
that cushion foundation looks so cool! does anyone have any recommendations for a good one that is good for oily/acne prone skin? I'd love to review some and do a wear test. Thanks in advance to anyone's suggestions!
I think you might like the Pony Effect Cover Stay Cushion Foundation! I usually use the other one that's for dry skin (the everlasting Cushion), but the Cover Stay one is more matte and made for oily skin. I also have sensitive skin and the products I've tried from the Brand have never broken me out!
Ivory Cherry the misha one Tati is Using, is good on my skin and I’m oily, they have skin care in them so I think it helps. I love it on my skin, they are on amazon, they have a few on there for skin types! X
Amazing video, Tati please make video what are your most loved product for contouring and foundation from high end and also from drugstore makeup. After trying so many, I thing that it will be goooood.
Not only you never heard of this brand but also me and im a huge kbeauty fan. Never saw this in korea. I dont know how this brand found its way to sephora... BTW "its skin" have macaroon collection and their macaroon lip balm are beautiful and actually looks like real macarones. And you should pronounce the "ja" more harsh. Ita not kaja like in french accent lol. Try to say it like KADJA (without hearing the D) and it will sound more korean. It means "lets go" - 가자
Besides, i don't think that 'made in korea' makes it k-beauty. The brand is not korean. Kind of like Morphe. It's made in china but it's not ch-beauty...
It's a Korean inspired brand. All the products are very in line with k-beauty (even the colors and textures) and they are produced in Korea, but the company is based in the U.S., I believe.
It's a little odd, the names "bento" and "mochi" are both japanese, not korean, it seems like someone western named the products to make them sound generally asian instead of specifically korean...
Girl the mochi aren't supposed to look like macarons, they're supposed to look like *mochi*. Your K-beauty videos always have lots of valid criticism in the comments; please read some of it and do more research! I love the K-beuty trend and always think it flatters you soooo well, but you don't give the products fair representation when you aren't approaching them with a correct context! I trust you for accurate reviews; please make sure you are able to provide that accuracy with the full range of products you review!
I don't think it's honestly that serious. When you're selling to the American consumers they really should emphasis how to use the products because not ever consumer is going to watch TH-cam videos to apply a lipstick that's apparently a lip tint that you fade out. Like I wouldn't have known that if I didn't read comments on a TH-cam video which not many do. I think Tati represents how the "average American consumer" thinks. Obviously people like you know as you're probably into kbeauty? But I didn't know. So it's up to the brands to explain how each products should be used. I get what you mean but I think it's expecting a bit much since she's not initially told. Like I have no idea what a mochi is and it looks like a macaron to me too and she can't google a mochi If she doesn't know what a mochi is in the first place lol I hope that made sense.
Yeah, like the lipsticks for example. They are not supposed to be used like that in k-beauty, you usually just tap the center of your lips with it to make it the gradient color, not a full lip of product. I love Tati, but I think she could use a little more research when doing her makeup with k-beauty products.
Does it even matter tho? Like I want to know if the products are good and good quality. I think she did fine with her review y’all too much. Want her to Go and read history books about the history of a culture only to say if an eyeshadow is a good🤷🏼♀️
Tati, can you please review the BECCA x Hatice Berlin Girl Glow Highlighter? It's super popular in Germany. Hatice is a german youtuber. I would love to know your opinion. It's available right now on Cult Beauty
Asian girl they do not apply liquid lipstick all over the lips , they are applying just in the center of their lips and only a little product, creating that gredient effect , that's why they are so liquid !
I’m trying to pay attention but your sweater!!! Where did you get it!?!?! Macaroons........since “mochi” is in the name don’t you think it’s supposed to resemble an actual mochi. I’m not sure what it’s made of but isn’t a mochi a Japanese sweet treat?
もち is a Japanese treat made of glutinous rice and in the inside there is sweet red bean paste usually with a flavoring like matcha, taro etc Technically mochi is Japanese not Korean
I currently have the MISHA fusion currently. My review : it’s really good for days when your skin is great. It makes it better. But doesn’t have a thick coverage for days when we’re not feeling our skin. I’m a middle coverage type of girl
also tbh you should try the puffs that come with the cushions, it's sort of the point with using them. they have water puffs, air puffs etc and it sort of is what makes the cushion so amazing
These are so pretty!! And the FENTY highlight looks so good on you, Tati! As for the lips, I think that they’re usually used as a slight tint to the inner lip and not so much a full lip liquid lip. I’d love to see you try out that style of lip staining! ❤️❤️❤️
Tati! Please review the museum of ice cream x Sephora collection. I just picked up the face pallet set from down town universals Sephora, where I’m from we have the tiniest mall Sephora that is always late to the game and it’s still over an hour away from me :( so I got super excited, I wish I could have afforded the whole thing! The price point was a bit obnoxious, but the packaging was soooooooo cute. Haven’t used much only the highlighter, I haven’t even swatched I just haven’t had time to play with my new stuff yet. But I’d love to see the whole collection used!!
Those trio shadows from Kaja are stunning! That slight shift in the deeper colors really caught my eye and legit made me rewind the video just to see you swatch it again! You’ve got a winner there.
In my opinion, this isn't really considered "K-beauty." It may be based on K-beauty techniques and styles, and it may be made in Korea, but a lot of makeup is made in Korea these days, including a lot of high-end cushion foundations in department stores. Also, no one in Korea has ever heard of this brand- maybe it's just an American-based brand that is trying to target the K-beauty trend that's getting popular?? (Dear Dahlia IS used and known in Korea! haha)
emptyd3pth If it isn’t sold in Korea, is it really a Korean brand? Let’s be honest, I’ve never seen it until Sephora started promoting the brand and it’s only exclusively sold there so to be quite frank, no I don’t think that Kaja is a TRUE Korean brand. Also, I haven’t seen any South Korean beauty TH-camr review this brand and they might not since it’s not actually available elsewhere except in Sephora.
@@heycrystalwong Then that just turns into a discussion of semantics. What do you personally consider the definition of "kbeauty" to encompass? Memebox just recently came out with this line in collaboration with Sephora, and Memebox's CEO even did an interview talking about their formulations for the products. Personally, I think of the brand as a Kbeauty-American collaboration. To each their own, but I think calling it kbeauty also helps give credit to Memebox. They've made the leap into the American market and I think that's great for their company.
Ugh I HATE "K-beauty" products in Sephora. They are NOT representative of true K-beauty products. No one in Korea has either heard of them or really use them. And the ones that are sold in Korea, the prices are racked up to ridic prices that are normally like, drugstore prices in Korea.
Hi, I was wondering if you could go thru the different kinds of eyeliners and their best uses? In your run down if the best, you say we need liquid, pencil, gel.. Etc. Demonstrations to? 💜💜
One of my favorite lip products from K-beauty is the Matte CHic Lip Lacquer from Etude House! It dries quickly, is 99% (or some argue 100%) transfer proof, and it's lightweight on the lips too. It's a bit pricey but worth it!
so many people have tried to educate Tati on how kbeauty products are made to be used but at this point I'm wondering if she's just ignoring all the comments? We've all been trying to tell you that the lip products aren't meant to be used the western way. They're tints and aren't meant to give that full on colour look. We've also repeated tried to ask her to research the brands and the trends so she can review them in a fair manner but nope zilch. Please, Tati, I know you can do better.
Yeah I have seen this feedback multiple times.. too many to count.. on all of her K beauty videos. She doesn't read any of it or either brushes everything aside if her application techniques are anything to go by.
it must be hard hearing thousands of people's opinions everyday, I definitely couldn't do it. I can't blame her for not wanting to read the comments all the time. Must be discouraging.
The brand literally posts videos and photos on their Instagram of people using the lip stains like a liquid lip. If it’s an Americanized “k-beauty” brand (since it’s sold only in Sephora) people should be able to use it whatever way they feel like using it. They also reposted a photo of the glow highlighters next to macarons. These products are clearly made to be worn in whatever manner the customer wants to use them in.

I totally agree. K-beauty wise, those lip products are totally supposed to be put in the center and swiped out with a lip brush etc.
Not necesarily. Koreans use both full lips and gradients, and you can see that in the swatches of their products.
True full lip coverage but not thick gloopy
Nah. It’s a trend but those are also used for full lips
They look super pigmented though....? She said she didn't care for them because they were not matte. That's what I heard anyway...
LOVE ssinnim nad Risabae also are we forgetting GOD PONY???
the gradient lip is less of a trend, as it's always been around. it's still very common among high schoolers and girls who prefer a more innocent look, as tints will always be around and brands are always coming out with it. as for trends, velvet/matte lips are very popular right now, especially with warm, reddish toned eyes
Seems professional 😄😄
The lipstick might be used for a subtle light ombre lip cause in many Asian countries that is the look they mostly use with their make-up
I wanted to tell you all I tried Halo because my hair had been falling out because of medicine the doctor gave me.
I would love to see you do a k beauty video applied with korean techniques!
love you!
=)
I love how you are saying the same thing as many of the comments here but in a kind, positive way. Agreed.
OMG, yes! Tati, please do a Korean style look. Get some glass skin, ombre lip, etc.
mochi is actually original a japanese food, usually eaten as a plain rice cake with soy sauce or soup. the dessert part came later :)) (not too relevant haha but a lot people dont know this)
Sakura i love mochi! and i really confused where the macaroons came from and why it wouldn’t resemble mochi instead hahah but now i see it does :))
Oh that can be a reason why they changed the name!
@@lolololisa1517 omg thank you I was thinking it was pronounced like "internet memes" glad it isnt x3
Same i never heard of Kaja before, somehow im a Kbeauty products they are awesome
What are some good staple k beauty products popular in Korea? Superinterested! !
face shop definitely has makeup. They actually have cushion foundation, lip tints, and other stuff.
Yep. Those are just lip tints. She was using them wrong.
TATI PLEASE TRY ETUDE HOUSE PLAY COLOR EYES EYE SHADOW PALETTES THEYRE ALL GORGEOUS
those are not macarons, its in the shape of mochi, a Japanese dessert!
Now I'm hungry. I want mochi. Yes, I'm saying this with a sushi avatar 😀
Mochi is more often just round. Macarons are really popular in Japan, so it's quite likely just macaron-shaped.
LittleMaliceManny I know.. but the product is literally called mochi? 😂
@@shannonslk Yeah, that's just weird, then.
@@shannonslk Oh, is it because it's putty-like? It feels like mochi?
I don't think you're using those lip stains correctly. Usually Korean lip products that are stains are meant to be worn as a sheer wash. Maybe that's why there was a texture issue?
I see that french pin in your hair!! YAS!!!
Kayley Melissa I love youu💕❤️
Can you try actual K-Beauty brands like Etude House, 3CE, Holika Holika, and Peri pera
@@patrycjag.9769 Because that flimsy cushion is so amazing
@@patrycjag.9769 she uses a blender to blend it in better. It's like how most people use their own brushes rather than the brushes that come with the product
*Tati not knowing what mochi is for 15 minutes straight* 😂😂😂😂 jkjkjk love you Tati!!!!!
Lol! I love mochi! So squishy!
😂😂😂 NAILED IT
And she’s called it macaron...good thing we like Tati
She incorrectly says macaroon which is a coconut chewy cookie. Whole different thing.
Right? She lives in LA, mochi is everywhere!
I love how invested Tati is in it being Fall. 90 degrees in LA and dressed like this. Love you Tati, keep doing you.
well there's air conditioner soooo
Our dedicated to Autumn queen!
I like to watch Tina Yong for those types of looks.
Soooo, every single video, Tati seems to be getting prettier. How is that even possible when you're already gorgeous?
Halo and halo kiwi? That's my guess! It's starting to really make me want to get some lol
i want to buy the halo kiwi so bad but with shipping its so expensive
I'm in the same boat. Im going to have to wait until after May at the soonest( due to needing to save for other things first) :( But I'm sure itll be worth the wait and saving!
Halo and Kiwi are awesome...my skin is starting to glow since I started taking from the launch
I want to know too smh
Bento, Mochi...? those are japanese words. Now I'm confused.
Kbeauty steals a lot from japanese ideas tbh
oh bullshit tbh :/
Same.
japanese cuisine is superior lol

Loved this new technique!
I was really excited for this new line! But honestly I just LOVE Etude House, the packaging gets me every time in terms of K-beauty...and the quality is amazing for the price! I've done videos with that and Missha if you're interested hehe ✨
Julia Nell what k-beauty website do you shop at?
Totally agree
I buy all my k-makeup at yesstyle. They have a lot of korean and japanese brands
jolse is also a pretty good K-beauty site :)
Etude House is amazing! Some of the best lip products out there, I think.
Meme is korean.
@@shaindyheller706 Memebox is an american company created by two koreans. The headquarters are in San Francisco and not Joah or neither Kaja brands are being sold in South Korea.
I know right. kaja or joah may be a korean word but those products are definitely not sold in Korea. i doubt anyone knows about those brands
I just had to put this out there and I'm also wondering if anyone thought the same??
yep! Thought the same thing.
I blame it on our Western ignorance...but I'm tired of this excuse myself. I'm glad to read these comments so I can learn and grow 💕
Ashley Elizabeth exactly what I was thinking
same!! If sephora wants to promote this line as K-beauty, they shouldve named their products in korean; 'ttoek' and 'dosirak' instead of 'mochi' and 'bento'.
If y’all are interested in K-beauty and have a little melanin in your skin, I highly recommend Kennie JD ❤️❤️
YASS what's up homeskillet biscuit!!!!!
Yes!! I'm white but I love her so I watch all her videos 😂
I LOVE HER!!!
6:25 I love how excited tati gets with makeup, its so refreshing ❤
Hiii, they're mochis not macaroons (the highlighter from Kaja). Mochis are an Asian snack, food.
Mochi is also squishy, that's why they mimicked the highlighter.
That’s what I was thinking every time she said macaron. I was like... their mochi shaped.
Lindsey yea it was literally in the name
They are SOOOO yummy too 😀
And, it’s macaron. People always say macaroon and it drives me crazy.
This is not Kbeauty it’s like calling The Creme Shop products K beauty their just bandwagoning because they know kbeauty is the way to go currently
okay, i TOTALLY thought the same thing, but it turns out, that Kaja is actually by Memebox!! So they are kbeauty :)
But it’s owned by Memebox
Tati that eyeshadow combination looks really nice on you. Really opens up your eyes.
Who else loved Tati's cardigan?😍😍😍

I couldn't stop staring at it. I would love to know the brand. Well... maybe I need to know it's price first.. 😊
I love it.....anyone know the brand plz
Yes! I’ve been trying to figure it out too. I want
you should get your hands on some
E’Tude House, Holika Holika, VT Cosmetics, maybe Tony Moly
I’ve heard that the E’Tude House primer is quite good.
maybe the E’tude House liquid lipsticks with Red Velvet (a female k-pop group) and I know that VT is about to launch a whole line with BT21 (they’re characters created by BTS) but they already have a cushion with BTS
I think she should pass holika holika and tonymoly... not really the best k-brands out there 😁 although i guess tonymoly has been doing rebranding so maybe their stuff has gotten better.
I agree, I love E'tude primer
Kari K I’ve heard not great things for Tony Moly besides their lip tints but I like Holika Holika skin care items
I love that one so much and I’m anxious to compare the two
That red lip looks STUNNING ON U TATI!!!! YOUR SKIN AND MAKE UP IN GENERAL LOOKS BEAUTIFUL TODAY.
interesting that "bento" means Japanese packaged meal and "mochi" is a type of Japanese desert.
If you read their description on Sephora it just says it's "packed with Korean innovation" whatever that means.
highlight is POPPIN today yasss
Absolutely agree....
Having watched you for soso long and having dicovered some of my favourite products thanks to you, I know that I can trust that you are 100% real in your videos. I just wanted to say that don't deserve any of this backlash and that your fans/followers love you because you're just as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside 💕

Couldnt agree more! 🙌🏻💙
I agree!
Stasya Andrews the packaging literally said liquid lipstick.
@@lilcamozzi2 for real? Then it's manufacturers' mistake, srry, and I was kinda talking about last times, my bad
Stasya Andrews Tati literally typed out lip stain in the product title so it’s not a liquid lip.
Tati’s voice is so soothing, I always watch her videos before bed. Her channel and overall vibe is just so relaxing
Try the tarte Amazonian blushes theyre supposed to be very long wearing x

I swatched that Fenty Diamond Bomb yesterday at Sephora and it is pretty much pure glitter. It seemed more of a body highlighter than a face one--especially considering the big brush they suggested it be used with. It looked great on my hand but I can't see using that on the face.
Same with Trophy Wife for me, it's so gorgeous but it's so gold and it gets EVERYWHERE. In the right moment it would be good, but otherwise it's pretty extra. But I still love swatching stuff that like.

Dear Dahlia can be found at Chicor, kind of like Korea's version of Sephora :)
It's a little odd, the names "bento" and "mochi" are both japanese, not korean, it seems like someone western named the products to make them sound generally asian instead of specifically korean...
Memebox owns this company. I’m told memebox owns a kbeauty brand as well.
Every time Tati puts on a red lipstick I die. It looks so flattering on her! Plz use more red lipsticks uwuwuwuwu
Those bento box eyeshadows are something! And the packaging is cute.
@Ham Sammich Yeah I notice she never seems to do much research.
Want her to Go and read history books about the history of a culture only to say if an eyeshadow is a good🤷🏼♀️
It does matter because somewhere around 80% of the audience doesn't live in the USA.
Tati, can you please review the BECCA x Hatice Berlin Girl Glow Highlighter? It's super popular in Germany. Hatice is a german youtuber. I would love to know your opinion. It's available right now on Cult Beauty
FIJIThe I bet no one is gonna be able to pronounce her name correctly lmao (Hatice is a Turkish name, but u probably knew that :) )
Yes 👍👌 I second that. I follow Hati and she's a very humble person.
Yes, I know that. But this wouldn't stop me from watching it :D
Muddi ist einfach die beste!
Loving the eyeshadow today!!! And that highlight was on point!!
I'm still wondering how tati uploads so many videos in such a short time in the best quality
She probably hired editors to help her get them out faster
I think she films videos in advance .. idk we should ask her !
You have to remember that this is her full time job of course she can manage this
She’s a pro!
Asian girl they do not apply liquid lipstick all over the lips , they are applying just in the center of their lips and only a little product, creating that gredient effect , that's why they are so liquid !
Your makeup looks so fresh & fabulous! The lip color ✔️ eye shimmer ✔️ glowy skin✔️ and liner ✔️ loooooovvvvvveeeeeeee 😍😍😍
Do Not Feed After Midnight just came here to comment this. Lol They are clearly supposed to be mochi not macaroons.
KrissyPine I once had a coworker bring some in to share with the office. I couldn’t stop eating! Where do you get them and what are they made of?!?!
もち is a Japanese treat made of glutinous rice and in the inside there is sweet red bean paste usually with a flavoring like matcha, taro etc
Technically mochi is Japanese not Korean
Do Not Feed After Midnight asian malls, and they’re made out of pounded glutinous rice
I think they're slightly americanized but Trader Joe's sells mochi where it's the rice dough with ice cream in the middle if you're in the states.
Macarons*, dear! Macaroons are the coconut cookies!
I love love love Tati but it honestly drives me nuts, mostly because they're 2 different things
Actually, they're meant to be mochi, a type of Japanese sweet dessert.
mochi isnt a sweet dessert. its just rice cake. a lot of sweets are made with mochi. but mochi can be put in soups and hot pot as well.
Wait seriously? I thought it was one of those 'gray vs grey' situations lol
@@hwaondagi I was surprised when I learned that too. My French husband thought it was hysterical that I didn't know the difference
I LOVE that Missha cushion foundation. Their regular B.B. cream is great too.
YOU LOOK SO PRETTY OMG
(Dear Dahlia IS used and known in Korea! haha)
Kaja is K-Beauty inspired, I don't think it 100% tries to claim a title as a Korean brand, even if its products are made in Korea
If you look it up, Kaja is actually a Memebox brand, like Pony Effect, I think. So it really is actually Korean
emptyd3pth If it isn’t sold in Korea, is it really a Korean brand?
She's got videos for that! Theres a drug store one and a high end one!
melissa dawn she has done them hun, if u put eyeliners Tati in the search box u will find them xx
Nobody cares.
I use tints as liquid lipstick, who cares. Make up is fun because you can do anything with it - there is no one way to use them
The tints are good if your gonna use them lightly and like bitlit style that is so popular in Korea
THOSE ARE ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, THOSE WILL BE SO BEAUTIFUL ON THE EYE’S
its annoying that its from Korea but the names have Japanese words like mochi and bento, like why not use Korean words??
carameldrops08 i was thinking the same thing 😭😭 lowkey kinda irritates me lmao
Boi why does it even matter
@@junnahisham6254 mochi is a japanese dessert and bento is like food you take for lunch in a little box usually divided by sections and sometimes more than one floor
If that's your way of thinking, they shouldn't use english words either then, or french words like alot of kbrands do. Dude chill, they're just makeup products, and have names the brands thought sounded nice.
@@VivianIsSupergirl i think you missed their point regarding the words but okay.
