I am a beginner, but I am learning quickly. I am surprised to learn a new way to start a DC, with a single and then a chain, rather than a couple chains. I like this much better as it looks more like a DC than a "starting" little post that looks different. My confusion enters when I am doing the slip stich into rund 2 or 3, then DC and CH alternating. Do I DC into the CH space from the previous round? (Cluster 4 first, then DC 7, CH 1 DC 7 CH1-and how do I slip stitch into that first "DC"?) So I am DC, CH, DC,CH...and I should have the starting SC plus CH, then five more DC-I either get four DC or 6, but never 5 and I have no clue what I am missing, never mind when I get to the CH after the DC 7. I have rewound the vid many times and still can't see what I am messing up. Maybe I can use the written to work this round...but I am not as good at reading it as I am with the vid. At least I learned a new way to start a DC that isn't just 2-3 CH, which like I said looks very different.
I have never seen your method of weaving in your ends, it looks really good and saves on sewing your ends in. However, could you tell me how secure this method is. I do not want my project to end up unraveling.
carol williams I’ve never had a project unravel! It is super secure - especially since you’re working over the end on the next round / be it the Join, the border, or what have you. If you’re worried, then when you work the final border, you can always weave that final end in a different way. Since it won’t be worked over by another row. ❤️❤️
