@@ShadowStreak or a movie with the characters as adults. Make it R or of 13 since us ppl that grew up with it have matured now and would love it. Basically adult swim ed edd n eddy
Yeah the character designs may not translate well into 3D, but I think the gameplay makes up for it. I'm glad they went through the effort to add in bonus content, like unlockable levels and the Robot Rebel Ranch outfits for the Eds.
One of the things I love the most about this game is the behind the scenes with the staff of A.K.A. Cartoon and the voice actors, once you see the voices of the Eds in real life it becomes clear: they where born for their roles because they look just like older versions of them, even in the way they dress... That aside, I think there's a way the art style of the show and the Eds themselves could translate very well to 3d: the same way they made it possible in the Cartoon Network City Bumpers...
Ed: "I am a woodpecker! Except with game graphics." As a longtime Ed-Boy fanboy, I loved playing this game back in the day, especially when using the Eds' special moves. The two bonus levels were also enjoyable, and I remember being super excited when one of them involved Ed's monster costume. As for the character models, terrible as they are, I find them fascinatingly weird for how they tried to incorporate these bizarre designs into a 3D format. The animation for the Eds running was also pretty amusing for looking kind of disjointed, but still capturing the feel of the show.
I know some fans have tried to make a fanmade sequel to mis-edventures in unity using the mis-edventures models but it didn't get that far I do agree that unity could be a great engine to make another ed edd n eddy game if you have the right people heck even using unreal engine which what my friend cory tried to do though didn't really get that far. I never really had a problem with the mis-edventures models they did try their best to translate the ed edd n eddy style in 3d though with mixed success, if the ed edd n eddy fanbase could get revived with a dedicated talented fangame team then we could see a revival of ed edd n eddy games.
This might sound trivial, but I just adore how Ed’s animation looks in this game! The way Ed flails his long limbs around like a living ragdoll is hysterical! 🤣
God do I wish this game would get the Rehydrated treatment. Ed, Edd, n Eddy is one of my all time favorite shows; it means the world to me. I never got to play this game but boy have I watched the documentary that was included in it a hell of a lot.
My main problem with the character designs is that Eddy is actually the most visibly emotional, but, probably due to limitations, they have him at one expression, which doesn't work when his tone changes from cocky to angry.
There's a big problem with the PC Version however and that's because the game has a DRM called StarForce. If you try to run the game on modern PC, it will fuck up your Windows Install and you would have to reinstall Windows.
I 100% agree. There's more you could do with the cul de sac and the eds. I'd add an element where you have to collect materials in levels so Double-D can make some fun inventions that affect the game :D
I LOVED this game as a kid. But honestly my two main problems is it was too short and no matter what you do, you always fail. I want to win and have satisfaction. Also wish there were more things you could do in the levels. Like you have to revisit them, cause honestly i want to explore more in these areas.
you know, watching just this scene 5:12 they don't look that bad. the face expressions, the way Victor looked when ready to attack and the way Eddy moves in that moment to Ed looked really smooth. sure, some models look odd like Johnny or Kevin's evil chin, but it can be overlooked for me at least cause there is a lot of love put into the style in 3D.
i'm surprised you didn't mention the speedrunning community for this game (considering that I do speedrun the game) and I'll say: Most of the frustrating parts are skipped in the speedrun. One example is the entirety of scam 5. Also, a fun challenge to do with the cheat codes is try to beat Kevin in the race using the super-speed cheat. It's hard, let me tell you. Great video once more!
So this is a question I've been meaning to ask for a while but whats your opinion on Universe fusionfall if you played it? I know that game was precious to many people.
I'd love to see this get a remaster with the tech we have today, it might even spark some newfound interest with people that have never seen the show or play the game
I still own this game. one of the first few games I 100% completed without help. Honestly, I just really liked Ed Edd n Eddy, and was really dedicated to finishing the game 100%. honestly, just unlocking a cheat menu wasn't worth sinking so much time into the game. but i didn't care. at the time, I was young, and had to get my money's worth out of every one of the games i'd get.
I put so many hours into this game as a kid, and it was a personal favorite back in the day. Some times it could be wonky, but overall it was a really fun game
I've not played this game in a decade in a half but if you asked me to describe it in word? Short. That's the one thing I remember. Didn't even fill a full afternoon.
it would be cool if the developers for edventures pulled a ‘battle for bikini bottom rehydrated’ and rereleased this with better graphics and on more consoles
what sucks the most about this game is that despite the animation itself looking very nice and fluid (especially for its time), the models just do not do it justice. the cutscene at 5:09 really showcases that because you can SENSE really good character animation behind these distractingly butchered ps2 models.
The PC version was borderline unplayable, the controls would rarely work, i could hardly get past the pinata tutorial because the stacking animation would never register and the game crashed alot.
Ed Edd and Eddy existed in an era where cartoons were probably the most similar they’ve ever been. Like the amount of cartoons with the Xtreme Power character design spanned across 5 different shows bare minimum. Even Cartoon Network was using the Cow and Chicken animation style for most of its 90’s cartoons. Like I loved the cartoons from the era, but it was easy to tell what studio animated what cartoons based off abundance.
Must....resist....telling...Shadow …that Eddy's attack...is a wallet on a chain.
I feel like with the technology we have now, we COULD be able to translate the Eds into 3D a lot smoother than what we got here
I agree, and it'd probably be cool to see what a modern day Ed Edd n Eddy game would be like!

Out of all the characters that didn't look good in 3D the most is Kevin. The dude looks like he got whacked with a shovel
I never understood why Eddy always called him Shovel Chin until playing this game.
5:22 for people who want to see
He is 90% chin
You say that as if people didn’t want to see Kevin whacked with a shovel
He's Crimson Chins deformed cousin

Yep, and an edifying one at that!
definitely one of the funniest Cartoon Network Shows ever made as well there video game of The Mis-Edventures is quite the interesting one

That was a Yo-yo? I thought Eddy was attacking enemies with that handle on his pants.
I remember looking up youtube videos of this game a lot as a kid
Well remind us never to have Jaw-Breakers before bedtime but no joke; our human friend Including ourselves truly did enjoying playing this game alot!

There's a big problem with the PC Version however and that's because the game has a DRM called StarForce.

I wish there was a sequel game that was based off the movie with larger levels and better animated cutscenes .

I'm curious since I see this game again after playing sly cooper recently I wonder if an Ed game with sly's foundation would work.
I 100% this game on PS2 it was fun and doing all the bonus stuff after the main levels is great way to keep going until u got everything
I actually played the GameCube vers. of this game in 1 sitting I was surprised& allbeit a lil dissappointed how short it was but the game was fun ^^
Idk , I think the characters translated pretty decently into 3D .
Yeah, the character designs are a bit vulgar but that's Danny's style right there

I never got to play the game myself but i would’ve liked too!
I wish that they could bring it back for Nintendo switch
I honestly didn't think the models were that bad. At least they didn't put me off that much.
They GOT KEVIN’S FACE SHAPE WRONG!!! He’s supposed to have a rectangular shaped head. Not a backpack shaped head and he looks creepy.

It wasn't a very good game, but it wasn't a bad one in spite of everything. It was made for the fans, they're more like interactive episodes.
This game was alot better than it had every right to be. For a licensed game you can tell they put alot of effort into it.

It’s ugly because the colors are too dim. They should have made it much more bright and colorful.
