I still need someone to explain to me how jk slurping jimins ear at rose bowl is skin ship. Any mature army would know the context in which ear biting occurs. It is not comfort mechanism used to support your friend/ brother. It is a pleasure stimulated gesture, that arouses the other person. My Korean friend even told me that is not skinship she didn’t even know what to make of it, as she said it far to invasive. Another point is jimins reaction. He didn’t even flinch, demonstrating that this has occurred before to point where he is completely comfortable and used to it. All this discussion about ships and fan fics have never sat right with me, because they are objectifying the members to fit a personal narrative of obsessed fans. But when I observe the interactions between jikook I have to question, why they have this unspoken bond, that other members just don’t have. It’s almost like there to close or too comfortable, I’ve had my sister assume that they are together because of the energy they reveal. It’s so beautiful to see but jikook genuinely hide within plain sight due to Korean skin ship.
