It's absurdly hilarious how just 50 years ago there was an obscenity trial for a fucking poem! That's when you know you're making art....when the establishment views it as a legitimate threat. It's ridiculous how a poem was deconstructed and analyzed to figure out what it "means" or what it's "purpose" was....as though poems, or art in general, are some kind of utilitarian mechanism with clear concise purposes. The "status quo" simply is not ABLE to understand good art. It's over their heads....
