I'm a Tamagotchi collector, the community is still going strong. There's actually a new one coming out on the 15th, it's called the Tamagotchi Uni, so this video is timely.
The green "creepy" one is called Kuchipatchi and he's really cute. There's a version where he either turns round like a ball or a tall guy wearing jeans depending how you take care of him lol.
I've seen quite a few models in the past months as well, they're definitely not dead

I had a tamagotchi as a kid, but it died and I was very upset, so my parents sold it. They gave me a Pokémon Pikachu instead since I was really into Pokémon, the Pikachu didn’t die, and I could take it on a walk with me since it was also a pedometer

This game looks so adorable! I had a knock-off Tamagotchi that was actually Babe, the Sheep Pig, which was cute! But I've seen Tamagochi's for sale in a local store (was surprised they still made them) & I swear the price has doubled since I was a smol Trash Panda
Fun fact: Tamagotchis are still being made! My older sister grew up in the early 2000's and wanted a tama but never got one, so years later she got me and her each a Tamagotchi pix! It has a camera built into it and u can use it to interact with your pet in various ways. It had separate characters for each stage of life, like the mobile game! (Baby, child, teen & adult [if u did it right, they could go get a job on tama planet]) my first tama I named Sushi, she was a Ninjanyatchi. But I misplaced the Tamagotchi and couldn't find it, so she died. I cried so hard... 😥 After that I wanted a Weeptchi, but I never could get it. I still have the Tamagotchi! It just needs batteries... 😅 (lol sry for the long comment, I just got flashbacks.)

A few months ago I put batteries in one of my tamagotchis for the first time in so many years. I haven't stopped playing it since😅
I had one called Nano Pets back in the 90's. It was a translucent purple with sparkles and the pet was a kitty cat.

GigaPets we’re all we had growing up. Until I saved for a Yoda one. It was stolen. I’m still salty about it, 20+ (okay almost 30) years later. 🧂

I had so many of the digital pets when I was a kid. Nano Pets, Tamagotchi, Giga Pets, Digimon, cheap ones from the quarter machine things and even a Nano Baby. Which actually talked. I still have them, but they all need batteries. lol

I had a tamagotchi growing up. I also played this game. I think i recommended this game to you. Not sure if you read my post about it because it was awhile ago. It’s a good game.
I sadly did not have one as a kid but my sister had I think three. I remember that she has bugs bunny. And awesome! You chose my birth years 1992! I think I got to play with maybe two or four back then. I know I killed my sisters xD.
Oh lord my kids had those and I had to deal with them when they were in school! Once my daughter's got lost and we could hear beeping, found it in the laundry hamper and it had a little halo on it, it had died! Ridiculous!

Hi Jackie! I had one but I have no idea what it was lol! Mine decided to die on me even though me and my sister took care of it! We even took time out at a renaissance faire! I was not happy.
I JUST got back into using this app. I definitely recommend someone playing it if you want it!! It's not real time unless it's certain things like making them sleep but you can use gems to skip that.

i think i had what you had cuz we too could not afford the highly priced one, mine wasn't a t-rex tho i can't remember what it was tho maybe like a puppy i really can't remember cuz it was like 14 years ago when i had it and i lost it on my flight to alaska so uhm yea it's long gone now
You need to turn on dark mode in The old version because the outline is affected badly by the light mode

Although these fellows are very much appreciated, the BEST virtual pets by far were Webkinz. But you had to be a dang millionaire if you were like me and had to have every single one 😂
