I really like this, it's refreshing, clever and breaks stereotypes in a realistic way. Plus you can learn a lot about detecting abusive relationships and manipulation tactics. _Every single action that makes you trust someone can be planned in advance. It's not difficult._ Question everything, especially suprises. Don't just accept good things, that's how mice get caught in a mouse trap.

They do an unbelievable job of winning everyone over to their side since they’re professional manipulators, they even make *you* think you’re in the wrong and they’re in the right even when you’re the one clearly being abused, this is so scarily accurate.

The Kami told the woodcutter that for his honesty, he would receive the two precious metal axes in place of his old iron one, and sank back into the freezing pond. Later, before the woodcutter could take his axes to the town to sell them, a blizzard struck, and the woodcutter took his two axes out into the forest to gather wood before his house froze. Then, to his horror, he found that you can't chop wood with axes made from soft metal. Metal such as Gold and Silver. The blizzard trapped him in his house the next night, and he froze to death. Moral of the story, Never trust someone who has every reason to resent you.

Actually tbh, the buzzing was from the cicada, we can see in the manga that there's normally a cicada buzzing, which indicates summer in Japan, and at the very end we see the cicada caught by the sparrow about to meet it's untimely demise, still buzzing all the while...so probably still a bad end
