That's what a real mans pockets have in them. My wife quit asking me, "do you have" a long time ago, because I always replied with " I have my pants on, don't I". It's just been a way of life for most of us. Thanks Matt!
My late husband who was a firefighter and paramedic used to carry many of those things, after he was hurt I carried them in my bag for him, usually along with an item with permit🤫 Love y'all ❤
I enjoyed seeing matt doing a video! I love that he’s very prepared, so many people aren’t, and then they panic when they’re in a tough situation… Always be prepared.
What every man should have with him always, you never know! I’m a woman who lives alone, I carry items I need in a bag in my trunk for emergency. I was well schooled by my Daddy. 😊
My dad who is gone now used to carry a Case knife and bandanna with him all the time. My husband was given his knife when he passed away. Thank you Matt for giving me that reminder of my daddy. Have a blessed evening.😊
Matt, for me this was a sentimental memory. My husband has been gone for 7 years. Watching what you carry in your in your pockets reminded me of watching him unload his pockets. He built cars and was musician there was always screws and guitar picks along with the money, id's, and a clean cotton handkerchief. Thanks for the memory.
Reminds me a bit of my dad’s pockets - he always carries wallet, keys, hanky, flashlight, and pocket knife. My dad got his knife at 6 years old, too. Thanks for sharing, Matt 🙂
I love hearing y'all talk. I am 76 yrs young and I still carry a flashlight in my purse, I used to carry my pistol, but don't carry it much anymore. Can't carry a weapon on base, and I am afraid I will forget to leave it home. My husband is retired USAF. Love your family. Prayers for all. ❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤🥰
I carry many of the items that Matt carries, but everyone makes fun of me carrying a handkerchief!! I’ve always carried on like Matt does and I always seem to use it every day. Thanks for sharing, Matt!!👍🏻👍🏻
I wish Matt would do more videos of his daily activities, a come along Matt video 😁 Whether he's fixing something, cutting wood or talking with an elder friend. Nice to see someone not afraid if hard work.
Thanks for the EDC video. I have two sisters and one brother. My father gave all of us kids a knife and told us to never go anywhere without it. So very useful. At the young age of 54, we all still keep our knives with us. I have to try a multi tool one of these days. Maybe a good Christmas gift for my sisters, brother, nieces and nephews. Thanks for the idea.
♥️✝️🇺🇸 Thanks Matt, you helped me pick a gift for my husband! I believe he will like that very multi tool ! He needs something that will stand up to his wear and tear !
Pocket knives, and a hanky were very common for men to carry in their pockets when I grew up. I still recognize their value to have on hand, in addition to a flashlight and lighter. Thanks for sharing.
That's awesome Mr. Matt! A lot of people don't have sense enough to start their own fire, much less have two ways to make it. You're right to always be prepared, you never know.
My Dad carried a Case knife with a bone handle, almost identical to yours, every day for as long as I can remember. It was so much a part of his identity that it was buried with him, along with a small whistle he handcarved that he used to call us home at the end of the day or when he wanted us in a hurry. Thank you, Matt, for sharing your EDC with us.
Interesting to see all the things Matt carries with him every day…and he explained it all….great job Matt😊 My daddy always carried a Case brand pocket knife..
Enjoyed the video! It reminds me of my grandfather he always carried all kinds of stuff in his pockets, too. Maybe Matt could show us different ways to start fires in an emergency. I wouldn't even know how to use that fire starter he showed.😊
Dad always carried a pocket knife and red handkerchief in addition to his wallet. He loved the outdoors for the nature aspect but not really an “outdoorsman” like Matt. Matt is very well prepared!
Thanks, Matt’s a man ready for anything. I have a small pocket knife collection and I always keep one on me. Never go into the woods without a way to make fire…. No one plans to get lost! 👍🏼💛
That was awesome! I live in central WV, and my edc would almost mirror yours. My camo cargo pants are an everyday item as well. My other edc, and it's on me from daylight to dark as well, is a Kahr P45. You never know. Great video! Thanks so much for sharing! Y'all have an amazing family! God bless! 😊
Great to see more of Matt! Love these type of videos. I carry everything but the rod. Leather man, duct tape and the belt knife. The duct tape around the lighter is a good idea. Thanks Matt
I actually carry most of these things in my purse, including duct tape and safety pins... I don't have a significant other so 😁 Thanks Matt... you just gave me great ideas for my sons' Christmas... will check your links 😎👍
My husband always carries a bandana, billfold, and pocket knife. He usually has a few carpentry tools as well. Great video, nice seeing Matt join in on the family TH-cam fun! ❤️
For many years i always had a small pocket knife in a belt pouch, along with other stuff everyday. Sadly it is now illegal where i live, so it now stays in the parcel shelf under the dashboard of my ute. So good to see you sharing your experiences and thankyou all once again.
I did indeed enjoy this video. Thanks for sharing it. I remember growing up, I'd need a knife and ask dad if he had his pocket knife on him. He always answered with "I have my pants on don't I"
This was a great video, Matt! I can't wait to see more videos of what YOU have to teach us - a whole different facet of the Pressley family's life in Appalachia. My late husband was an always-be-prepared guy, too. It just makes so much sense! For years I've been carrying around a small pocket knife that belonged to my father - these days not in my pocket, but in my purse! 😀 Peace be with you. 💚
Good to see Matt doing a solo video with Corie’s help. I wasn’t expecting this kind of video the day after the girl’s birthday. FUN FACT: SEPTEMBER 25 IS NATIONAL DAUGHTERS DAY EVERY YEAR.
In comparison to Matt's pocket dump. My husband carried a trifold billfold. He never went anywhere without his pocket knife, not even in stores. The imprint of the knife wore holes out in his pants pocket. He was a truck driver and he carried what seemed like to me , 5 pounds of keys on his belt hook 😅 l would tell him it's no wonder your back hurts you all the time. He wore bandanas when working outside and also while working. He would wet it, twirl it around like Matt has shown in past videos and put it on his neck. They absolutely cool you off. Watching Matt reminds me in many ways of my husband. Thank you for sharing and have a blessed day! Praying for you all. Blessed 🤗🙏💕
Thanks for the Bandana shout out! My father was a great Bandana guy, and they always remind me of him. Great job, Matt and Corie. I enjoyed it. Id like a good creek walk video sometime too.
Matt you're prepared for anything! It's great to be that way because you never know what your going to run into. I carry a small knife in my purse! Ya'll have a blessed day!
Looks like my hubby's pockets 😃 Keys, phone, knife, pocketbook (aka pockey-book), some change. Then his clip-on Maglite, and his late Daddy's Victorinox Swiss tool ❤
My husband says the multi-tool and flashlights are so handy. He carries a German Boker 5464 Congress, 4 blade,a Buck 285 ,a small Thrunite flashlight, Crescent Toolzall pocket pro mini multitool, truck keys, other keys, nail clippers, of course, his billfold, cell phone. He is a pocket knife collector and keeps most of them in the bank vault. He's back to collecting knives since retirement. Always on the lookout at the flea markets.
Sure enjoyed this solo video of Matt. He is definitely a man’s man but unfortunately we don’t have many of them now. My Grandpa carried a lot of what Matt has in his pocket except for a cell phone. They didn’t have them back then. I miss the real men. Glad to see Matt is one & I know y’all feel safer with him.
I understand why I like your Matt so much, he's a man cut from the same cloth as is my husband. 🤣 Husband carries a handkerchief every day (I started ironing them for him because he told me sweetly how much it meant to him, that little gesture...after I ironed a couple of 'em). Husband gets joshed by his younger coworkers as the guy always prepared, the guy likely to have what you need. Y'all get Matt a compass, old-school. (Husband had one, an old gift from me...his truck was broken into in Houston and it was stolen 😡 so I'll be replacing it for him.) Love this and love y'all ! Thank you!!! 🙌🏼 💓
🎉🎉🎉I LOVE IT!!! Thank you Matt for sharing!!! Of course he has all these things in his POCKET!!! If you look in my PURSE you would see some of these items. Great idea about the tape!!
This looks very familiar to me. My husband carries many of the same things. If I’m ever in a crisis and my husband isn’t nearby, I want assistance from Matt. 👍🏻
I am a woman but I think I have most of that in my purse my own self!!! And give it as gifts! I think my son in law was shocked his first Christmas with us! Great job Matt!
You carry as much in your pockets than I do In my handbag!! I do carry a flash lite (think MagLite! And a Case pocketknife! But it’s all practical things, right Matt??! Thanks for sharing. God bless and much love! 💕🤗🙏🏻
As always, Matt, I enjoy your input. The Duct Tape is a great idea. It can also be used as a tourniquet for a bad cut or you could use the bandana with it to create a bandage. When I'm in the woods or field, hunting, I also carry several table napkins folded up in a zip plastic bag. They also can be used as bandages and they are the best toilet paper you can have. When we moved and downsized I found a pack of napkins that had been in my old moth-eaten wool hunting shirt. Had to throw the shirt away but the napkins were like new. A fingernail clipper is always good to have. Have used them more than once to pull a splinter out of my finger or a thorn out of a dogs paw.
Very interesting edc pocket dump. I confess that I don't carry these things on my person but all of these things are in my vehicle at all times. I figure that if something were to happen, odds are I'd prioritize getting to my vehicle. I also keep a small backpack that I could fill up if I had to walk out. It's good to be prepared and think these things through.
Great j😊video. My husband always carries a pocket knife and bought one both our grandsons, he uses his all the time. I love the duct tape wrap idea on flashlight and lighter. For ladies, some of these items are great to keep in the glove box of our car…along with a tape measure. Love your videos Matt!!!! They are useful!
Enjoyed your pocket dump, Matt! I had an Appalachian native father that taught me well. I carry almost all of those things in my purse! Have to use a handmade saddle leather purse to handle it! 😅 But I do it! It's the only way to be...prepared!
My hubby carries a few of those items in his pockets. I carry a few of the things in my purse. If it’s not in my purse, it’s in my car. You need to carry some type of mints. They help in blood sugar gets low or you just need a quick pick me up. Interesting video and you gave me some things to add to my car for just in case. Thank you for sharing, Matt.
I've carried the following since I was 20yo: Wallet, high lumen flash light, pocket knife, glucose tablets, 9mm pistol, keys with a micro fiber lens wipe attached. The passed 10 years i have added a cell phone and ditched the pistol.
Great video. I carry about the same variety on me. I include a large swiss army knife instead of the Leatherman and some sort of revolver unless I have to visit a non-free place.
What an eye opener about the duct tape Matt. As you say it has many uses but never thought of carrying it on me like that. Thanks for sharing this. The chap stick I have with me all the time. In cold weather up here in central Canada my fingers get cracks in them as I'm outside a lot and ChapStick does wonders for that.
Great job Matt! As a guy I really enjoy your comments and inputs on videos. I have watched all your wife’s and daughters’ videos. They are all great, and enjoy your girls’ videos, but have been waiting for you to cut loose! This is my first ever comment to any you tube video and wanted to encourage you to do more. You are very talented and knowledgeable in many areas and many of us would like to hear more Matt specific input along with your and Tipper’s joint videos. FYI, Corie used to give my wife guitar lessons.
I don’t often post to your channel, even though it reminds me of my childhood as well as my grandma, however, thank you beyond belief for having this。I truly would love to see y’all dump your pockets altogether come and purses becuase gram used to carry a full can of snuff, and a bag of shoe for any young man that would help her.
All the men ever in my life had this stuff to. My Daddy, Brothers, Husband, Son, Grandson and even me and all the girls carry some of this stuff! I have a waist pouch that has evetything in it that I might need for anything! Country folk live like that! We always got it! I've got needle, thread, ink pen or pencil, fishing line and a small emergency kit also in my pouch! You never know what kind of perdicument you gonna catch yourself in. Its a way of life! God Bless. 🙏❤👏😁
I am an older woman, but I also carry a phone, pocket knife, Leatherman, Flashlight, Lighter, Hankie, and a First Aid Kit whenever I leave home. I don't carry as much around the yard. I do try to always have my phone in case I should have an accident while in the yard and garden.
Thank you all so much for this video. Ive been patiently waiting lol. I carry quite a bit of the same. I can’t tell you how many times I use my blue handkerchief for various task. The exact same one from the video. In my left pocket I always have a small Swiss Army knife classic with the handkerchief over top. I like having the toothpick and tiny scissors.
I really enjoyed this. I didn't know that duck tape was useful for starting fires, nor had I ever thought of using Chapstick as a lubricant. Very clever!

Great to see Matt getting more involved with youtubbing🙂
Ladies move over and make room for the next Pressley youtubber❣️
Great job Matt👍
😀 Glad you enjoyed it!
Loved the video!
So glad the men carry most everything needed. Daddies even schooled us girls about always having a pocket knife. Smart.
Love that 😀
My late husband who was a firefighter and paramedic used to carry many of those things, after he was hurt I carried them in my bag for him, usually along with an item with permit🤫 Love y'all ❤

Dang ....and they talk about our purses...love it ! You should see what's in my purse. 😅
My dad who is gone now used to carry a Case knife and bandanna with him all the time. My husband was given his knife when he passed away. Thank you Matt for giving me that reminder of my daddy. Have a blessed evening.😊
Love this, thank you for bringing Matt into the family business even more. This channel just keeps getting better and better!
I bet Matt is like, boy the things I do for this channel, lol. But, it was neat seeing what the hunter man carries daily. Tfs.😊

Papaw always carried a knife, handkerchief, and lighter. Following his advice has saved me more than once.
Mens pockets are like womens pockets books or purses, they carry what they need .Neat video!!Thank you Matt and Cori.😊

That's awesome Mr. Matt! A lot of people don't have sense enough to start their own fire, much less have two ways to make it. You're right to always be prepared, you never know.
Wise options to carry, thank you Matt. I keep a small knife and almost always carry my best friends Smith & Wesson.

Love y’all’s family! Prayer for granny and yall too.
933 Thumbs-Up's in TWO HOURS. That has to be a record. Wow. Congratulations on 244K Subscribers. SO stinkin' well-deserved.
Thank you 🙏
Several years ago, I bought my husband a LED head light with a band. He loves it and it frees up both his hands.
You're always prepared when you leave home. The tape wrapped around the flashlight is a good idea hadn't thought of that thank you.
You are very prepared Matt, I like the way you are always thinking ahead for the unexpected, enjoyed the video.

Depending on where I’m going, I often carry similar items. I’ve always been a Tom Boy, so a knife is a must! Good reminder, Matt. 👍
I did indeed enjoy this video. Thanks for sharing it. I remember growing up, I'd need a knife and ask dad if he had his pocket knife on him. He always answered with "I have my pants on don't I"
Tank you for sharing your never leave without.
An EDC that actually looks EDC'd so you know it's tried and true. Thanks Matt.
Okay, we seen the bandaid on your finger, were you triing to get some dessert before supper and Tipper got ya.😂
I’m impressed, no reading glasses in his pocket, like my blacksmith! LOL

Happy Birthday Korie and Katie 💐💐
Matt, thank you for sharing. You are prepared!😊
Thanks for the Bandana shout out! My father was a great Bandana guy, and they always remind me of him. Great job, Matt and Corie. I enjoyed it. Id like a good creek walk video sometime too.
As a prepper myself I like your EDC great job sir 👏
Matt you're prepared for anything! It's great to be that way because you never know what your going to run into. I carry a small knife in my purse! Ya'll have a blessed day!
Very similar to my edc. Love that sheath knife. Thanks
Thanks, Matt! You gave me some great gift ideas!
So glad! 😀

Wow Matt you keep your pockets full . Good to be prepared
This looks very familiar to me. My husband carries many of the same things. If I’m ever in a crisis and my husband isn’t nearby, I want assistance from Matt. 👍🏻
😀 Thank you Rhonda
That looks very much like what I carry everyday. 👍👍
I am a woman but I think I have most of that in my purse my own self!!! And give it as gifts! I think my son in law was shocked his first Christmas with us! Great job Matt!
You carry as much in your pockets than I do
In my handbag!! I do carry a flash lite (think MagLite! And a Case pocketknife! But it’s all practical things, right Matt??! Thanks for sharing. God bless and much love! 💕🤗🙏🏻
😀 Thank you!
Great video, Matt! Thanks.
As always, Matt, I enjoy your input. The Duct Tape is a great idea. It can also be used as a tourniquet for a bad cut or you could use the bandana with it to create a bandage. Thanks Matt.
Thank you for watching 😀
Lots of good stuff. Thanks Matt. God bless y’all
Always have my Case xx pocket knife, chapstick, Leatherman, billfold, keys, flashlight, lighter, and dip!

Enjoyed your pocket dump, Matt! I had an Appalachian native father that taught me well. I carry almost all of those things in my purse! Have to use a handmade saddle leather purse to handle it! 😅 But I do it! It's the only way to be...prepared!
Love that! Thank you 😀
You go girl!
I recognize some of these things my dad carried in his pockets plus his pocket watch❤
My hubby carries a few of those items in his pockets. I carry a few of the things in my purse. If it’s not in my purse, it’s in my car. You need to carry some type of mints. Excellent. Informative. Great vid. Thank you for sharing and explaining. 👍👍
Thank you for the video. Lots of good ideas there. Like the tape around the lighter & flashlight. Saves space. 👍👍

God Bless. 🙏❤👏😁
Great video Matt. That is an awesome idea on the duct tape. Hope you guys have a great day God bless
I am an older woman, but I also carry a phone, pocket knife, Leatherman, Flashlight, Lighter, Hankie, and a First Aid Kit whenever I leave home. I don't carry as much around the yard. I do try to always have my phone in case I should have an accident while in the yard and garden.
Id say you thought of everything, Matt ! 😊
Christmas gift ideas for my husband and others. Great idea to store Duck 🦆 Tape! Thank you.
