    I'd rather be camping on that farm than in a state park!! What a blessing.

    Nice simple setup. I discivered the same issue with my small Ecoflow power box. My solution was to build my own powerbox w/out regulated 12v outlet. You could always just use a small AGM or LifePo4 battery stand alone too. I'd just carry an extension for your heater exhaust and slip it on when in use.

      Thanks for the comment! I don't have the exhaust extended and figured out. And that's a great idea with the stand alone battery. I like simplicity of the bluette tho now that it's set up right o can charge with the truck while driving and eventually have solar on the roof and just one lest battery to try to keep charged and in the back of an already small truck camper. I had thought about making my own battery box but since I already had the bluette I just stuck with that.

    Glad to see you're back! I was worried something bad had happened. Looking forward to what you do next. Winter mountain biking? Maybe?

      Glad to be back! Will hopefully get to do some winter mountain biking! Depends on weather conditions have to be pretty ideal for them to groom the trails and open them. But plan to do some snowshoeing and hopefully get a pair of cross country skis!

    I'm really enjoying your videos I have a minivan no build I'm out here doing the same thing you are doing !! I would like to upgrade to a diesel heater the more you talk about that diesel heater ! I just bought the UCO candelier 3 candle lantern it is rated for 5000 BTUs it might not get that warm I just tested it out on New Year's Eve it worked really good tho. Also I have an electric heated blanket I run off my solar battery there's a couple rechargeable hand warmers that come in huge. If you heat the minivan up and then turn it off with the lantern lit the lantern will maintain the heat inside the van for quite a while. I can never sleep with my legs bent... that pivot is very clever

      Thanks for the comment! I started in a van long before I started doing videos. I definitely miss some aspects of van camping, like being able to just go straight into the driver's seat. Glad your enjoying the vids!!!

    I finally got my topper and bed rug now I'm planning solar so this video was perfect timing for me. Can you post a link to the heater and power bank?

    You should have the air intake coming from outside, if you pull from inside you can deplete oxygen levels or get backflow exhaust fumes

    • @DustyOutdoors_9113
      @DustyOutdoors_9113  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the comment! I do have my intake running outside, I used an existing hole in the side of the box behind the heater.

    • @coachgeo
      @coachgeo ปีที่แล้ว

      hmmm... not sure that is true on these units. Particularly if you likely are not air tight. That said..... which air are you speaking off?? There is two air intakes... one- air used for combustion and -two air that will be heated?

    • @TDOGGisawsome
      @TDOGGisawsome ปีที่แล้ว

      @@coachgeo combustion air, it’s not likely but it has happened. If they’re both routed outside you’ve got nothing to worry about

    • @DustyOutdoors_9113
      @DustyOutdoors_9113  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are certainly enough gaps and holes into the back to where I wouldn't worry about oxygen levels but on my old build I did have some diesel fumes smell come through that intake when running on low and during shut off so on this build I made sure to route both outside.

    A 12 kw heater could heat a whole house. Never seen a diesel that big.

    • @DustyOutdoors_9113
      @DustyOutdoors_9113  ปีที่แล้ว

      Guess the main take away i was aiming for was that anything over 2kw take more then 10 Amps to run.

    There worst when you run it on low

    • @DustyOutdoors_9113
      @DustyOutdoors_9113  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I didn't leave on low long and even if I do leave on low I always run it on high for a bit before turning off to burn out any built up soot
